Abstract

The lampholder is divided into a tube-retaining section (2) and a base on which it is pivotable. The section functions as a two-armed lever with one arm (7) carrying the tube support (13), and the other arm (8) having cut-and-grip contacts (19) for wires in the base. For transport purposes the section can be laid out with its connection region flat against a supporting element. When it is pivoted away from the latter, the contacts enter automatically into engagement with the wires.
