- the magnet 23 is a ring ferrite ring, and is embedded in the lower area of the float ring 22.
- the detector 45 is subjected to a magnetic field of high intensity created by magnet 23, so that any induction interference generated by a current flowing through the transformer or the inductor to be protected has no significant action on the electrical state of detector 45. There is therefore no risk of inadvertent switching of detector 45, and electromagnetic compatibility with the environment is realized.
- FIG. 6 the state of the detector 45 is shown in normal operating position: under the effect of the magnetic field of strong intensity produced by the magnet 23 which is then at nearby, a fixed magnetizable blade 52 attracts a contact blade flexible 53, producing a working contact.

Description
The present invention relates to protection devices, for electrical transformers or power inductors.
Electric transformers or power inductors are generally enclosed in an airtight casing and embedded in a liquid dielectric. The hermetic casing is provided with an upper opening adapter, allowing the crankcase to be filled with the dielectric liquid, and allowing the adaptation of a protection device.
The protective device must deliver information alarm type in the event of a drop in the level of the liquid dielectric in the housing, if there is too much pressure inside the housing, or case of abnormal rise in temperature of the liquid dielectric.
In addition, it is useful to be able to visualize a slight drop level of the liquid dielectric, knowing simultaneously the temperature of the latter, in order to facilitate prevention tasks before alarm and maintenance after alarm.
One may be tempted to design a protective device electronic, comprising a series of sensors and circuits processing of the signals produced by these sensors, the visualization of measurements thus carried out can then be ensured by a device for separate and adjustable viewing at will. Such a solution requires however, provide an auxiliary power supply for the circuits signal processing, which in the case of a protection, can lead to failures affecting the reliability of the protection. For example, a power failure would not allow more to the device to produce an alarm or a cutoff signal in case excess pressure or abnormal rise in temperature in the dielectric liquid.
Document US 4 192 174 A describes a protective device for transformer, comprising a base shaped to be fixed to the transformer housing around an upper adapter hole, with a dip tube with closed lower end and upper end integral with the base, with a tunnel for the passage of the dielectric liquid and its penetration into two transparent upper tubes connected to the tunnel and containing floats sliding in the tubes. One of the floats carries a magnet. A field-sensitive detector magnetic is housed outside and at the lower end of one of the transparent tubes to detect the level of liquid dielectric. A box, containing the electrical circuits, is placed laterally next to transparent tubes, and is connected by an intermediate tube to the tube plunger that contains a temperature sensor. A pressure sensor, housed in the housing, is connected by a tube to the interior space of one of the transparent tubes, to capture the pressure inside the casing. The housing obscures the vision of the floats on a portion of the periphery of the transparent tubes.
The problem proposed by the present invention is to design a new protection device that is both autonomous, reliable and robust, providing an accessible direct visual indication over 360 ° of the liquid dielectric level, a passing information pressure threshold, threshold overshoot information temperature, and information of excessive drop in level of liquid dielectric below a level threshold. The device must also be of reduced cost, and of reduced bulk.
- a closed lower end dip tube,
- a base configured to be fixed to the casing around the upper adaptation orifice, with a central tunnel for the passage of the liquid dielectric,
- an upper housing, adapted to receive in a sealed manner and to keep the upper portion open of the dip tube,
- a transparent tubular intermediate part, allowing the elements it contains to appear all around its periphery, and connected in a sealed manner to the periphery of the base and to the upper casing,
- an annular float carrying at least one magnet, mounted to slide around the dip tube inside the transparent tubular intermediate part,
- at least one flexible blade detector sensitive to the magnetic field of the magnet (s), housed in the immersion tube in a fixed intermediate position in the transparent tubular intermediate part, producing a dry electrical contact switching when the float reaches a predetermined level, the dry electrical contact being connected to level output terminals in the upper housing,
- at least one threshold temperature sensor, the end bulb of which is engaged in the lower end of the dip tube and producing a dry electrical contact switching when the detected temperature reaches a predetermined temperature threshold, the dry electrical contact being connected to temperature output terminals in the upper case,
- at least one threshold pressure sensor, housed in the upper casing and connected by a lower wall passage of the upper casing to the interior space of the transparent tubular intermediate part, for sensing the pressure inside the casing and for producing a dry electrical contact switching when said pressure reaches a predetermined level, the dry electrical contact being connected to pressure output terminals in the upper housing,
- a filling tube, closed by a removable plug, and connected to the transparent tubular intermediate part.
One difficulty is that flexible blade detectors are sensitive to stray magnetic fields, so that switching nuisance can occur in case of transient overcurrent in the transformer to be protected.
So regardless of the presence of temperature sensors and pressure, and filling means, the invention aims to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility of the device.
For this, according to one embodiment, the positions length of the detector in the dip tube and the magnet in the annular float are chosen so that when the level of liquid dielectric is higher than said predetermined level, the detector is in the maximum magnetic field created by the magnet and is found in working position, and when the dielectric level liquid is below said predetermined level, the detector is at the deviation from the maximum magnetic field created by the magnet and is in the rest position.
As an alternative or in addition, the annular float carries in in addition to a soft iron coaxial tube, extending the magnet downwards, and forming a cage protecting the flexible blade detector against fields transient magnetic products produced by the transformer or inductor.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the magnet is a ring ferrite ring.
Preferably, the magnet is embedded in the lower region of the annular float. This improves the balance of the float.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the base is a part tubular, provided with a lower peripheral crown shaped to be supported in and around the upper adaptation orifice of the casing, and provided with an upper peripheral crown receiving the edge lower of transparent tubular intermediate part.
In this embodiment, the diameter of the crown upper peripheral and tubular intermediate part transparent can advantageously be larger than that of the orifice upper crankcase, so that the tubular intermediate part transparent can have a greater volume for a given height, or may have a height less than a given volume. It is thus possible to reduce the overall height of the device, while retaining a sufficient internal volume to appreciate the variations in volume of the liquid dielectric during operation.

The
inférieure 19 du boítier supérieur 15.An
supérieur 15.A
In the illustrated embodiment, the protection device
further includes two
The two
dans le bornier 31 du boítier supérieur 15.The protection device according to the invention also comprises

The dip tube 1 is secured at its
In the embodiment illustrated in Figure 1, the housing

boítier supérieur 15.The
15.In the embodiment of Figures 1 to 3, the dip tube
1 participates in the mechanical connection between the successive stages of the
device. The upper
l'aimant 23 comme illustré sur la figure 1.In this same embodiment of Figures 1 to 3, the
protection of the level detector against magnetic fields
transients produced by the transformer or the inductor to be protected is
provided by a protective cage. For this, the
tubulaire transparente 17. In the embodiment of FIGS. 4 and 5, the connection
mechanical between the
l'aimant 23.In this same embodiment of FIGS. 4 to 7, the
protection of the level detector against magnetic fields
transients produced by the transformer or the inductor to be protected is
ensured by providing particular longitudinal positions of the
annulaire 22.Note that, in the figures, the
It is understood that, in the normal operating positions,
that is to say when the level of liquid dielectric is sufficient as
illustrated in FIG. 4, the
In FIG. 6, the state of the
repos. On the other hand, in FIG. 7, the
The present invention is not limited to the embodiments which have been explicitly described, but it includes the various variants and generalizations contained in the field of claims below.
