Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a flat Friction rings, consisting of a support ring and one on at least one Support ring side provided, at least approximately radial oil grooves Friction lining, which initially consists of a friction lining web with at least one Cut out circumferential outgoing slots for the later oil grooves and then glued to the support ring.
It is known (EP 0 305 582 A1) to produce flat friction rings, the friction lining as a self-contained ring with the later oil grooves Punch slots out of a friction lining sheet, made according to paper making an organic friction material is made, and this friction lining stick on the support ring. Cutting out a self-contained Friction lining ring, which already has the slots for the subsequent oil grooves because of the simple handling a low manufacturing effort sure, but due to the ring shape of the friction linings there is a high drop on the friction lining track and thus an unsatisfactory use of material. Becomes the friction lining according to another known manufacturing process (EP 0 583 516 Al) made up of individual friction lining sectors, that of a friction lining strip cut off and glued to the support ring at a mutual distance to create radial oil grooves between adjacent friction lining sectors received, there is good material utilization for the friction lining, however with the considerable disadvantage of an expensive production because the individual non-contiguous friction lining sectors before sticking on the support ring must be positioned accordingly.
The invention is therefore based on the object of a method for producing to improve a flat friction ring of the type described above in such a way that simple, inexpensive handling of the friction lining with good Material utilization can be combined.
The invention solves the issue posed in that the friction lining in shape a strip cut out of the friction lining and in the area of Crosspieces between those separated by the slots Friction lining sectors bent like a polygon into a ring and onto the support ring is stuck on.
By cutting out friction lining strips from the friction lining web good material utilization of the material web can be ensured because yes at least in the case of a straight strip, the individual strips are lined up in this way can be that the longitudinal edge, which is the later outer Forms the peripheral side of the friction lining on which the later inner peripheral side forming longitudinal edge. If a curved stripe is chosen, what in the case of a demand for a limited number of friction lining sectors in Relation to a limited slot width because of the slot formation predetermined maximum possible bending angle between the Friction lining sectors may be necessary, so the accumulating is limited Waste on the slots and between the curved friction lining strips resulting gusset area. Since the friction lining sectors by the later Slots forming ol grooves apart from one another to a remaining connecting web are separated, the hinge connection between the friction lining sectors enables, the preferably cut out by punching Friction lining strips easily bent into a polygon ring become. which can be glued to a corresponding support ring. Because of the connected friction lining sectors are easy to use, which is a less complex production with good material utilization allowed. The deviation of the polygon ring from the circular shape plays for the Function of the friction ring does not matter, especially since the friction lining sectors in the area their longitudinal edges can be cut out along arcs that are adapted to the outer or inner diameter of the support ring.
Different arc radii in the area of the outer and inner circumferential side however cause a slight drop due to the between the abutting outer and inner sides of the friction lining strips resulting gusset. For such, albeit comparably To avoid small waste, the resulting between the slots Friction lining sectors of the friction lining strips on the outer and inner circumferential side cut out along matching arcs. The resulting deviations from the outer or inner circumference of the support ring are for the operation of the finished friction ring irrelevant.
Particularly advantageous manufacturing conditions result in others Formation of the invention when on the side facing the support ring Double-sided friction lining sheet before cutting out the friction lining strip effective adhesive film is stuck on, with the help of the friction lining after Cut out can be glued to the support ring. Through this bilateral Adhesive film is not only used to stick the cut out of the friction lining Friction lining strip relieved on the support ring, but also one Reinforcement of the friction lining strips in the area of the connecting webs between reached the friction lining sectors, so that these connecting webs in one for the Bending within the covering plane of the advantageous type is sufficiently narrow can without the connection of the friction lining sectors during handling endanger the friction lining strip.
When cutting out the friction lining strips cut out polygonally tensile forces in the outer area of the connecting webs and compressive forces in the inner area a, which may create the risk of unfolding these connecting webs from the friction lining level. To be contingent To avoid disadvantages, the friction lining can be hot-pressed onto the Support ring are glued so that in the area of the connecting webs the friction lining strips exerted pressure forces on the support ring such Prevent unfolding with certainty.

The friction ring shown consists of a

Reibbelag 2 aufgeklebt.
To produce the friction ring described, a
For gluing on the
