Abstract

The belt (10) fits round a sack of powdered or granulated material to prevent it from splitting while being handled. It is cylindrical in shape and its upper edge at least is elasticated to hold it in place. The elasticated strip or cord can be sewn into one or both edges of the belt or threaded through hemmed edges. The upper edge at least of the belt has a tie cord threaded through it, or it can be fastened with strips of hooked pile fastening material. The belt can be made, for example, from synthetic resin fibres.

Description

The present invention relates to belts used to protect the drums of bags intended for the transport of powders, granules or other pulverulent materials against any tearing.

The invention relates in particular to a belt designed to protect the barrel of a bag intended for transporting materials housed in its body, preventing it from tearing under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it is cylindrical in shape, the upper edge, at a minimum, of its upper and lower edges, being provided with an elastic retaining strip.

State of the art

Different transport bags are currently used to transport agricultural products, industrial materials and other powdered or granular materials ("materials to be transported") of a similar nature.

Such a transport bag is used by tying an opening made in its lower part using a closure cord, by closing a lower closure, by opening an opening made in its upper part, by placing the material to be transported in his body through this opening, tying the upper opening with a closure cord and closing an upper closure. The bag is then hoisted, for example, by a crane, placed on a specified pallet as shown in Figure 2, then lifted and transported by a forklift to a predetermined location.

Problem to be solved by the present invention:

However, it may be that the front end of the fork of such a carriage or that one of the corners of the pallet collides with the lower portion of the bag during the above-mentioned transport or that a projecting part of a building comes into contact with the periphery of the bag body when it is hoisted by the crane.

If such a situation arises, the body of a traditional transport bag may be torn, thus allowing the transported material to spread.

Although it is theoretically possible to increase the thickness of the walls of such a bag and therefore improve the resistance of the body of the bag to tearing, problems are encountered in practice, however. For example, such a transport bag becomes not only expensive to produce but also heavier and more difficult to handle.

The invention which concerns us was conceived with the aim of providing a solution to the situation described above by providing a belt intended to protect the barrel of a transport bag, such a belt being capable of preventing tearing. of the bag body under the action of an external force and can be produced economically, without causing a significant increase in the weight of the bag.

Means used to solve such a problem :

To achieve the above-mentioned objective, the present invention provides, in a first embodiment, a belt designed to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body, this protective belt adapting to the body of the bag to prevent it from tearing under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it is cylindrical in shape, the upper edge, at least, of its upper and lower edges, being provided with a strip of elastic support.

Similarly, still with a view to achieving the above-mentioned objective, a second embodiment of the present invention incorporates the first embodiment which is then characterized in that the elastic band is sewn along the edge or edges of the belt.

Similarly, still with a view to achieving the above-mentioned objective, a third embodiment of the present invention incorporates the first embodiment which is then characterized in that the elastic band is housed in a passage formed at the edge or edges of the belt.

Still to achieve the above-mentioned objective, a fourth embodiment of the present invention takes the form of a belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body, this protective belt attaching around the body of the bag to prevent it from tearing under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it is of cylindrical shape, the upper edge, at least, of its upper and lower edges, being equipped with an attachment cord.

Similarly, still with a view to achieving the above-mentioned objective, a fifth embodiment of the present invention incorporates the fourth embodiment which is characterized in that the cord is sewn along the edge or edges of the belt.

Similarly, still with a view to achieving the above-mentioned objective, a sixth embodiment of the present invention incorporates the fourth embodiment which is then characterized in that the cord is housed in a passage formed at the edge or edges of the belt.

Still to achieve the above-mentioned objective, a seventh embodiment of the present invention is a belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body, this protective belt attaching around the body of the bag to prevent it from tearing under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it has the form of a strip whose longitudinal ends are provided with "Velcro" tabs (or similar device) which will be joined l '' to each other once the belt positioned around the body of the bag.

Still to achieve the above-mentioned objective, an eighth embodiment of the present invention is a belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body, this protective belt attaching around the body of the bag to prevent it from tear under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it has the shape of a strip whose longitudinal ends are provided with "Velcro" tabs or the like which will face and unite with their "Velcro tabs "(or similar) respectively located around the perimeter of the bag body.

Still in order to achieve the above-mentioned objective, a ninth embodiment of the present invention is a belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended to transport materials housed in its body, this protective belt attaching around the body of the bag to prevent it from tearing under the action of an external force and being characterized in that it has the form of a band whose longitudinal ends are provided with a strap and a loop which engage l 'one into the other once the belt positioned around the body of the bag.

Operating principle:

First of all, with regard to the first three embodiments of the model, the cylindrical protective belt, the upper edge of which or the two upper and lower edges of which are both provided with an elastic retaining strip, is fitted around of a transport bag intended for the transport of materials housed in its body and is held in place by means of the elastic retaining strip in order to prevent the body of the bag from being torn under the action of an external force.

Then, as regards the fourth, fifth and sixth embodiments of the invention, the cylindrical protective belt, the upper edge of which or the two upper and lower edges of which are both provided with a fastening cord, is adapted around a transport bag intended for the transport of materials housed in its body and is held in place by means of the fastening cord in order to prevent tearing of the body of the bag under the action of an external force.

As regards the seventh embodiment of the invention, the protective belt is positioned around the body of a bag intended for the transport of materials housed in the latter to prevent tearing of the body of the bag under the action of an external force and in the form of a strip whose longitudinal ends are provided with "Velcro" tabs which will be joined to the another once the belt is positioned around the body of the bag.

As regards the eighth embodiment of the invention, "Velcro" or similar tabs are present on the periphery of the body of a bag intended for the transport of materials housed therein, the protective belt coming to surround the body of the bag being itself provided with "Velcro" tabs (or equivalent device) facing or joining with the "Velcro" tabs of the bag (or equivalent system) which will hold it in place on the body of the latter, thus preventing tearing of the body of the bag under the action of an external force.

Finally, with regard to the ninth embodiment of the invention, the protective belt to be adapted around the body of a bag intended for the transport of materials housed therein takes the form of a band, the respective longitudinal ends of which are provided with a strap and a buckle which will be engaged one in the other once the belt positioned around the body of the bag, thus preventing the tearing of the latter under the action of an external force.

The description of the first embodiment of the present invention will refer to diagrams 1 and 2.

Figure 1 is a perspective view of the present embodiment while Figure 2 illustrates the present embodiment as it will be transported by a forklift.

According to this embodiment, a protection belt (10) of relatively cylindrical shape, made from synthetic resin, is provided with elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) which are sewn on. along the edges defining the upper and lower openings (12a and 12b) respectively, and is provided, as shown in Figure 1, to protect the body of a carrying bag.

The protective belt (10) thus formed will be positioned around the transport bag to be used by inserting the lower part of the bag into the opening (12a) or (12b) and will be held in place on the periphery of the body of the bag. using elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b).

In this state, an opening in the upper part of the bag is open and an opening in the lower part of the latter is closed with a closure cord, which completes the closure of traditional transport bags . The material to be transported is placed in the body (1) of the bag via the upper opening, which has the effect of widening the body (1) of the bag axially and radially and of stretching the retaining strips. elastic (11a and 11b) for positioning the protective belt (10) in close contact with the periphery of the body (1) of the bag.

Diagram 2 illustrates the transport bag (C) placed on a pallet (15). The body (1) of the bag is filled with the material to be transported and equipped with the protective belt (10), its upper opening being tied and closed according to the traditional method. When the pallet (15) carrying the bag (C) is lifted and moved, in this case, by the forks (17) of a forklift (16), it may be that one of the corners of the pallet (15) or the front end of the fork (17) collides with the transport bag (C) when the pallet or fork approaches the latter, in which case, the belt (10) will protect the body (1) of the bag against any tearing, thus preventing the transported material from escaping from the latter. The belt (10) protects the body (1) of the transport bag (C) with the pallet (15) or the fork (17) but also from possible contact of the bag with a part projecting from a wall when, for example , the bag (C) is transported by a forklift.

Consequently, the present embodiment can be easily adapted on the transport bag (C) before the use of the latter, being held in place by the clamping force applied by the elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) and thus preventing the body (1) of the bag filled with the material to be transported to tear under the action of an external force exerted, for example, by the fork (17) of the forklift (16) at the time of the transport of the bag (C ).

Although, according to the illustrated embodiment, the elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) are sewn along the upper and lower edges of the protective belt (10), it can be supplied with a single fixed elastic retaining band at its upper edge only when it is unlikely that the lower section of the belt can be rolled up from below.

Example 2:

The description of the second embodiment of the present invention will refer to diagram 3.

Figure 3 is a perspective view of the present embodiment.

According to this embodiment, the cords (11c and 11d) are housed in passages (12c and 12d) formed along the peripheral opening edges of a protective belt, as illustrated in diagram 3, in contrast to the first embodiment, in which the elastic retaining bands (11a and 11b) are sewn along the upper and lower edges of such a protective belt. However, the world of employment of the first two achievements and the effect produced will be similar. When the belt is used in such a way that it cannot be rolled up from below, a single cord can be used in the passage made in the upper edge as in the previous embodiment.

Although, according to the first embodiment described, the elastic retaining band is sewn onto the protective belt, it may be housed in a passage formed along the peripheral opening edge of the belt as in the second embodiment. In this second embodiment, on the other hand, the cords can be sewn on the respective upper and lower edges as in the first embodiment.

The description of the third embodiment of the invention will refer to diagram 4.

Figure 4 is a perspective view of the present embodiment.

As shown in diagram 4, the protective belt (10A), according to this embodiment, takes the form of a strip made from synthetic resin fibers, the respective longitudinal ends of which are provided with "Velcro" tabs (20a and 20b) can be linked to each other. Furthermore, still according to the present embodiment, the strip is also provided with "Velcro" tabs (20c) located locally on the surface of this first which will come into contact with the body (1) of the bag, these "Velcro" tabs facing to the respective "Velcro" tabs located on the periphery of the body (1) of the bag to which they will be attached.

The protective belt (10A) thus formed according to the present embodiment surrounds the transport bag to be used and is held in place by joining the "Velcro" tabs (20c) to the corresponding "Velcro" tabs of the bag and by attaching the tabs " Velcro "terminals (20a and 20b) to each other.

In this state, an opening in the upper part of the transport bag is open and an opening in the lower part of the latter is closed with the closure cord, in addition to the closure used for the transport bags traditional. The material to be transported is then inserted into the body (1) of the bag through the upper opening, which has the effect of widening the body (1) of the bag axially and radially and allowing the belt to protection (10A) to cover practically the entire circumference of the body (1) of the bag and to be held in place on the latter by the "Velcro" tabs (20a and 20b) joined to one another.

As previously described in the context of the first embodiment, the protective belt (10a) thus used prevents the body (1) of the bag from tearing under the action of an external force.

Consequently, according to the third embodiment, the protective belt (10A) can be easily adapted around the body (1) of the transport bag and attached to the latter using the "Velcro" tabs (20a, 20b and 20c ) in order to prevent the body (1) of the bag filled with the material to be transported from tearing under the action of an external force exerted, for example, by the fork (17) of the forklift (16) when the transport bag (C) is transported.

The description of the fourth embodiment of the invention will refer to diagram 5.

Figure 5 is a perspective view of the present embodiment.

In contrast to the third embodiment, in which the protective belt has the form of a strip of synthetic resin fibers, the longitudinal ends of which are connected by means of "Velcro" tabs (20a) and (20b), the protective belt (10A) of the present embodiment takes the form of a band, one of the longitudinal ends of which is provided with straps (21a) and the other longitudinal of which is provided with loops (21b), as illustrated in diagram 5. The belt can be easily adapted around the body (1) of a transport bag by engaging the straps (21a) in the loops (21b) to prevent the body of the bag (1) filled with the material to be transported from tearing under the action of an external force exerted, for example, by the fork (17) of the forklift (16) when the transport bag (C) is transported.

Advantages of the devices according to the invention:

The patent application provides for a belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended for transporting materials housed in its body, a cylindrical belt which can be easily adapted on the periphery of the body of the bag and fixed thereon by means elastic retaining bands or cords provided at the upper and lower edges of said belt, such a belt being therefore easy to install, inexpensive to produce and intended to prevent the bag body from tearing under the action of an external force exerted during transport without causing a significant increase in the weight of the bag.

The devices according to the invention also provide a belt intended to protect the barrel of a bag intended for transporting materials housed in the body of the bag and which can be easily fixed on the latter by connecting the "Velcro" tabs or by engaging the straps in the loops, such a belt therefore being easy to install, inexpensive to produce and intended to prevent the bag body from tearing under the action of an external force exerted during transport, without causing a significant increase the weight of the bag.
