Abstract

The invention concerns a token device which is used as a means of payment and consists of a coin holder (1) and a coin (2) mounted therein. The first time the coin (2) is removed, the coin holder (1) is damaged and thus the token device is devalued optically or as a result of being incapable of operation. The owner of the token device recognizes that it is a means of payment more easily than with conventional tokens or chips since it contains a universally usable coin. Nevertheless, it can be identified at a specific location where it can be exchanged and thus the advertising purpose is achieved.

Description

The present invention relates to a token. A preferred one The area of application of this token is advertising.

Tokens, also called tokens or chips, are next to money known means of payment. However, they are contrary to money not universally redeemable, but can only be used special exchange points can be used. So are known, for example, gaming chips usable in casinos, Entry chips for indoor pools or vouchers in chip form for Shops. These tokens are generally made of plastic manufactured. Sometimes they are marked with their monetary value, some is just their exchange value, for example an entrance to the swimming pool.

Bei Entfernung der Münze wird der Spielchip zerstört.US-A-4'827'640 describes a gaming chip for casinos, the has a metal and a plastic content Plastic holder is used to protect the coin so it not worn out by rainy use. The coin will be during the manufacturing process integrated into the plastic part. At Removing the coin will destroy the gaming chip.

Auf der Pfandmarke ist der Wert einer Münze dargestellt.DE-U-94'00'167 discloses a pledge which also consists of a plastic brand holder and a deposit brand There is metal, with the token held in the brand holder is. The value of a coin is shown on the token.

The holder has via a receiving space for receiving the coin and via movable fixation device to hold the coin when not in use to fix this shot.

These tokens have the disadvantage that they can hardly be used by the owner be identified with their effective monetary value. That's why they are often left careless and not redeemed. This also creates the advertising effect that is special with these marked tokens should not be achieved reached.

It is therefore an object of the invention to make a wide brand create, whose value is better recognized by the owner. The means a connection between a part with symbo value and generally accepted as a means of payment Coin are enabled.

This task is carried out by a token with the characteristics of the Claim 1 and claim 8 solved.

It is another object of the invention to provide a token create that has motivation until redemption to keep. That is, the connection between the part with symbolic value and the coin should be such that this motivation is created.

Diese Aufgabe löst eine Wertmarke mit den Merkmalen des Patentanspruches 2.This object is achieved by a token with the features of the claim 2nd

The token according to the invention has the special feature that on the one hand, a monetary value in the form of a coin is always visible and on the other hand the connection with a special one Exchange point can be manufactured. This connection is done by printing on the coin holder in which the coin is located. The coin holder also provides proof a change after the first withdrawal of the coin or injury. In one case, this injury is visual recognizable, otherwise it affects functionality the coin holder. For example, as a result Material fatigue not the coin after repeated removal more positively held in the coin holder.

In most embodiments of the token according to the invention if this violation is irreversible, the money holder can therefore only be used once. This will prevents the coin from simply being removed from the coin holder and the latter is thrown away carelessly. The immediate one Cancellation of the token upon removal of the coin is one Motivation to keep the token as such.

A preferred area of application of the token according to the invention is advertising. The special shape and combination of a specific object that is only recognized as a means of payment in one area and a universally valid means of payment achieve various effects:
The coin holder forms an advertising space on which the company logo and the purpose of the token are shown.
In this area, the token can also be given a higher value, a numerical or a goods value than the already integrated coin actually has. The token thus corresponds to a voucher, which is also kept for the reasons mentioned above.
In a preferred embodiment, the token has the shape and approximate size of a coin. She therefore recommends keeping the change in your wallet or wallet. There it is rediscovered with every payment. Due to its different shape and color, it draws attention to itself so that the desired repeated contact with the advertising material occurs and the advertising object is memorized.

1 and 2 show an embodiment of a token according to the invention. It consists of a coin holder 1 and a coin 2 held therein.
In this embodiment, the coin holder 1 is made of hard plastic, wherein it has the shape of a circular disc. In other embodiments, the coin holder is made of metal or other solid materials. The height of the disk corresponds at least to the thickness of the coin 2 to be accommodated, so that the coin does not form an increase in relation to the disk, but is completely accommodated in it. In general, the disc is even higher than the coin. The coin holder 1 has a recess 10 which corresponds at least in height and in diameter exactly to the coin 2 and is used to hold it.

In the upper area of the depression there is a radially protruding one Retaining edge 11 integrally formed. This is beveled and springy, so that the coin is pressed slightly into the recess can be. A coin in the recess will however held in position by the retaining edge 11, because the diameter of the coin is larger than that of the this direction not resilient retaining edge released Opening is. The retaining edge 11 is in this embodiment arranged around the entire circumference of the recess. In further examples is only such in some areas Edge present.

The coin 2 is completely received by the coin holder 1, one side of the coin 2 remains visible. The Piece 2 is pressed in so that the monetary value can be seen is. The back 13 of the coin holder 1 is a flat, closed area. The advertising slogan, the redemption location and the effective value of the token specify. Also the peripheral edge 14 that like a frame Surrounding a coin can be used as an advertising medium.

A coin 2 once pressed into the coin holder 1 can only be removed again by holding the coin holder 1 get hurt. In the embodiment shown here points the retaining edge 11 predetermined breaking points 11 '. These are in the figure 2 evident. If the coin is taken out, so the Rüchkalterand breaks off. The coin holder cannot hold more coins. The token is canceled, because the functionality has been destroyed.

Sie kann insbesondere eine Dünnstelle oder einen Dünnbereich aufweisenIn another embodiment, not shown here the coin can only be pressed on the back remove the coin holder. The back breaks, and the hole created or the broken-away coin holder indicates that the token has been canceled. In order to the coin can be pushed out more easily Back have predetermined breaking points, their destruction makes the visual devaluation visible. In particular, it can have a thin spot or area

The violation of the coin holder is therefore different, however always clearly identifiable. It either consists of an optically visible injury or from destruction functionality.

In a further embodiment, not shown here the coin holder has no retaining edge. The diameter the recess has such manufacturing tolerances that the coin is held positively. The coin can by pressing on the back of the coin holder be removed. Has removed the coin one or more times material fatigue of the holder, causing the coin is no longer held.

In a further embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 the coin holder 1 is ring-shaped, wherein it has a smoking edge 110 on both sides. The coin 2 is visible from both sides. Serves as an advertising space only the border 14 created by the coin holder 1 is formed. The coin holder 1 points in a preferred Embodiment at least one radially extending predetermined breaking point 110 'on. Thus, when the coin 2 is removed, it breaks the coin holder 1 at this at least one predetermined breaking point 110 'apart.

Another exemplary embodiment of the token is shown in FIG shown. The coin holder 1 has a front slot-shaped introduction 15 for the coin 2. In this Retention springs 120 are arranged in insertion 15. they form an angle to the direction of insertion so that they are inserting of coin 2 enable them to fall out prevent the same. The retaining springs 120 can be removed. When the coin 2 is removed, they break off and die Functionality of the token is in turn impaired. This embodiment also has a one- or two-sided Visibility of the coin.

In a further embodiment, not shown here the coin is pressed into the coin holder clear pane held in place. At Removing the coin, the disc must be removed. This affects the functionality.

In a further embodiment shown in FIG the coin holder 1 designed in two parts. A first part 1 ' has a shape similar to that shown in Figures 1 and 2 Money holder on. The coin 2 is also in a recess 10 in this first part 1 'of the coin holder held. The coin holder 1 now has none Retaining edge, but has a second part 1 '' is formed by an O-ring. This O-ring is underneath Tension on the circumference of coin 2. The diameter of the In this case, the recess is slightly larger than the diameter of coin 2, but small enough to fit the O-ring 1 '' to squeeze slightly. The coin 2 is on the one hand due to the static friction between the second part 1 '', the O-ring, and the first part 1 'of the coin holder 1 and on the other hand, due to the static friction between the O-ring and the coin 2 held in the coin holder 1. If the coin 2 removed, the O-ring is simultaneously removed from the recess 10 taken out. Without this, the coin 2 can cannot be held. The coin holder 1 thus points again a functional injury. This violation is however, in contrast to the exemplary embodiments described above reversible. That means, it can also be done after one first removal of the coin again with one Money piece provided with O-ring pressed into the money holder and the token can be used again. This is particularly advantageous for those tokens for charity Purposes are put into circulation and their cost so should be kept as deep as possible.
