Description

The invention relates to a device for depositing and withdrawing banknotes, in which the banknotes are guided in a closed circuit between deposit and withdrawal, with an extendable drawer for the manual insertion of different banknotes and for the sorted storage of different banknotes in different shafts, from which the respective banknotes can be removed mechanically. Automatic machines in which cash can be paid out in the form of banknotes using data carriers, such as credit or check cards, and by entering a personal code, are state of the art. Sorting devices, note recognition devices and other mechanical aids are known for the receipt of banknotes or for the deposit, which are intended to prepare and ensure the deposit of deposited amounts in appropriately secured rooms, such as safes.

Conventional counters for depositing and withdrawing cash in banks, post offices or other institutions have a clear security gap in the area of depositing funds, which cannot be easily closed with conventional facilities. The money brought in for payment is usually blocked in safes, which however are opened again for the removal of notes, so that there is always full access to the entire amount of banknotes in stock and thus a high security risk, especially when the opening takes place.

Devices with which an automatic recognition of banknotes and a corresponding storage in a sorted order would be possible are relatively complex and prone to failure. When accepting banknotes, not only must the authenticity be checked, but damage to real banknotes must also be recognized, which should result in these banknotes being withdrawn from circulation. In the banknote cycle undamaged and naturally only genuine banknotes should remain. Establishments with a largely functionally reliable security check are extremely complex in view of the currently circulating grades.

In this context, EP-PS 0391059 describes a self-service machine for picking up and lifting a wide variety of objects, sometimes banknotes. Dispensing or dispensing means is a drawer which can be moved out of the housing and has designed side walls and a closed, trained bottom. In or out of this, the respective object is conveyed out of or into special storage containers in the interior of the machine by means of a part-specific gripping tool attached to a robot arm and extending over a drawer edge.

The invention now aims to provide a device of the type mentioned at the beginning, with which the security risk at cash registers or deposit counters, at which monetary amounts are also paid out, is substantially reduced, and which in a simple and cost-effective manner is a fully protected banknote cycle which cannot be easily intervened from the outside. To achieve this object, the device according to the invention essentially consists in the drawer having a plurality of mutually different recesses for the sorted reception of manually inserted banknotes and an openable bottom and at least one open or openable longitudinal side wall, that at least on the openable or open longitudinal side wall A manipulator which can be moved transversely to the direction of insertion of the drawer is arranged such that the manipulator has at least one gripper and can be moved into a position which corresponds to the respective compartment for the banknotes and from this position into the slot for receiving the banknotes after the bottom of the Drawer can be lowered, and the manipulator remains in the receiving slot for the respective banknotes while maintaining a defined pressure after closing the bottom of the drawer and / or closing the drawer. The fact that a simple drawer with an openable bottom is provided has the advantage that, after manual presorting, banknotes can be deposited directly in the compartments or recesses provided for this purpose, a particularly simple design for handling the in this way sorted banknotes can be selected. The drawer can immediately disappear into the protected area again after it has been entered into a safe, the individual compartments of the drawer being able to be emptied in a simple manner, so that when such a protected area is opened again, only empty ones Exceptions are released, and access to the protected withdrawn banknotes is no longer possible. Overall, the banknotes disappear after depositing in the safe and are no longer fully released when the safe is opened electronically. Banknotes can be paid out in a conventional manner as with conventional ATMs, again only the amount required is released and access to larger amounts located in the protected area, in particular in a safe, is prevented. Overall, the design with a drawer and an openable bottom results in a structurally particularly simple solution which, with the aid of a structurally extremely simple and inexpensive manipulator, offers the possibility of completely guiding banknotes in the protected circuit, which can significantly reduce the security risk. Because the responsibility for the security control remains with the cashier, new counterfeits can be reacted to quickly and the overall effort can be reduced considerably.

In a particularly advantageous manner, the design according to the invention is such that a separate manipulator is provided for each of the different banknotes, and that all manipulators are coupled to move together, whereby the effort for controlling and starting up the manipulators can be significantly reduced. The parallel emptying of each individual section of the drawer after the drawer has been moved in and the bottom opened ensures that, after each deposit process, only an empty drawer is made available for new deposits, while at the same time taking the time to empty the drawer can be significantly reduced. A payout can be carried out in parallel to a deposit, since the notes are placed on top of the existing stack from the top when the deposit is made and deducted from the bottom when the deposit is made. This guarantees real simultaneous work with deposits and withdrawals. The use of the invention The proposed manipulators also enable the required contact pressure to be built up and maintained in a simple manner, as is required for the secure removal of banknotes for automatic banknote dispensers. For this purpose, the design according to the invention is advantageously made such that the manipulator contains an electric drive motor with a position indicator, which is connected to a gripper jaw, and that a second jaw, which interacts with this gripper jaw, with the interposition of an overload clutch, in particular a magnetic clutch, in their position is held, which always the right load or the right back pressure can be ensured in a particularly simple manner and with little design effort.

The drive motor and the magnetic coupling are connected to a freely programmable switching mechanism in a particularly simple manner.

In order to ensure that empty receptacles for the banknotes are opened each time the drawer is opened, the manipulator can advantageously be moved in two axes.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment shown schematically in the drawing. 1 shows a perspective view of an automatic input and output machine with the drawer extended, FIG. 2 shows a view corresponding to FIG. 1 with the deposit drawer retracted with the side wall partially open and a schematic indication of the gripping and manipulating device, FIG. 3 shows a schematic illustration a manipulator for gripping banknotes in the deposit drawer and depositing them, and FIG. 4 shows a section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 3, FIG. 3 showing a view in the direction of arrow III in FIG.

In Fig.1 a safe 1 is shown, in which a deposit drawer 2 in the direction of the double arrow 3, i.e. is slidably insertable in the longitudinal direction of the drawer. The cash dispenser compartment is labeled 4. The deposit drawer 2 has a plurality of recesses 5 for receiving various banknotes. During the deposit process, the cashier decides which banknotes are to be considered genuine and are of sufficient quality to remain in the banknote cycle. After the sorted placement of banknotes in the receiving compartments 5, the drawer 2 is moved in and the banknotes are automatically deposited after the bottom of the drawer 2 has been opened. The bottom of the drawer 2 is indicated schematically by 6.

A manipulator 7 arranged below the retracted deposit drawer 2 is schematically indicated in FIG. 2, which can be brought to the respective receiving compartments 5 for the banknotes via a laterally open longitudinal side wall 8 of the retracted drawer 2. The directions of movement of the manipulator are designated in the vertical direction by the double arrow 9 and in the direction of the laterally open wall of the drawer.

The manipulator 7, which is already schematically indicated in FIG. 2, is explained in more detail in FIG. A drive motor 11 is provided for the drive and is connected to a toothed belt 13 via a gear 12. A first gripper jaw 14 is connected to the toothed belt and can be displaced in the vertical direction when the drive motor 11 is actuated. The respective position of the drive motor and thus the drive jaw 14 is detected via a position detector 15, the measured data being connected via signal lines to a freely programmable switching mechanism 16, from which the drive motor 11 is also controlled. The freely programmable switching mechanism 16 subsequently also controls a magnetic coupling 17, which interacts with a further toothed belt 18, to which a second gripper jaw 19 is in turn connected. The jaw 19 is in an upward movement the jaw 14 is carried over a driver pin 20 in the maximum open position, and it can be detected in this way with the bottom of the drawer 2 a stack of banknotes. After actuation of the drive 11 for lowering the jaw 14, the jaw 19 is held in position with simultaneous activation of the magnetic clutch 17 and a defined contact pressure is ensured by the force of the magnetic clutch 17. The entire package can be moved downwards and stored by the manipulator in a corresponding shaft, from which the banknotes can subsequently get into the dispensing device and the output compartment 4.

In the illustration according to FIG. 4, the reference symbols from FIG. 3 are retained.
