Dadurch läßt sich das Rastelement 16 bzw. die Schwachstellen 17 zwischen den Bogenelementen schwächer ausbilden, da ein großer Teil der Kräfte von dem Elastomermaterial aufgenommen wird. Zusätzlich ergibt sich aufgrund der Dämpfungseigenschaften des Elastomermaterials eine Geräuschdämmung bzw. ein weniger hartes Verrasten, was für den Benutzer ein angenehmeres Gefühl gibt.
