Definitions
- the invention relates to a telescopically extendable support for construction, in particular to a ceiling support, the length of which can be adjusted with the aid of a threaded drive having a thread and a threaded nut.
- Known ceiling supports of this type such as are described, for example, on page 197 of the Peri program overview 8/92, have continuous bores running transversely to the longitudinal axis on their inner tube to accommodate a section of a bolt or a straight section serve a curved support member.
- Axially parallel guides are provided in the outer tube, through which the ends of the bolt pass and extend radially outward from the outer tube.
- a self-locking thread is provided on the outer tube, on which a threaded nut is guided, on which the bolt ends or the like lie parts of such a support member that project outward from the slots.
- the support must then be retracted again and the support member inserted through the next hole in the inner tube, whereupon the fine adjustment of the support length can be continued with the help of the threaded nut.
- the pitch of the thread is designed so that it lies in the area of self-locking, so that the torque that acts on the threaded nut due to an axial load on the thread does not overcome the friction acting in the thread due to the small pitch of the threads and therefore the threaded nut does not turn under load and the length of the support does not shorten.
- the length of the column can be adjusted very sensitively, but under load the self-locking of the thread must be overcome when adjusting the column, e.g. when removing formwork from the ceiling, which is generally done by hammering the threaded nut or must turn with the help of a tie rod.
- the invention has for its object a support like this train that it can be adjusted very easily over a long length.
- this object is achieved in that the pitch angle of the thread lies outside the self-locking and that the torque exerted on the threaded nut under load is absorbed by a frictional engagement exerted on the threaded nut outside the thread.
- the advantage of the invention is that the thread pitch of the screw drive operating outside the self-locking can be very large, so that all the extension lengths of the support that are usually required can be set with a few turns of the threaded nut.
- the known slots in the outer tube can thus be dispensed with and also the support members, via which the threaded nut moves the inner tube axially.
- An advantage of the invention is also the simple construction of the length adjustability of the support.
- the thread acting outside the self-locking can be arranged directly on the outer surface of the inner tube and the threaded nut guided in this thread is then supported on the upper end of the outer tube of the support.
- the frictional engagement which prevents unintentional rotation of the threaded nut, can be implemented in various ways in embodiments of the invention.
- a tightening strap connected to the outer tube in a rotationally fixed manner can attack the outer periphery of the threaded nut, which is released during the length adjustment and which is then firmly attached to its periphery to prevent inadvertent rotation of the threaded nut, for example by means of a tightening strap shortening the tightening strap between the ends of the Strap.
- a rough adjustment of the prop length is then carried out with the tightening strap loosened, a fine adjustment, which only requires a rotation of the threaded nut by a few angular degrees, is then carried out with moderately tightened tightening strap with the aid of tools which engage the threaded nut.
- a frictional engagement which can be canceled out for the rough adjustment of the support length can also be achieved in embodiments of the invention in that the frictional engagement is formed between a conical surface on the nut and a non-rotatable part of the support, which has an upwardly widening, funnel-shaped surface which at least partially forms the conical surface records.
- the conical surface of the nut is pressed into the funnel-shaped, non-rotating surface.
- the greater the axially acting load the tighter the friction between the nut and the non-rotatable part.
- the nut can be turned very easily by hand and the length of the column can thus be adjusted within a wide range.
- the thread leading the nut can be provided on the inner tube and the funnel-shaped surface on the outer tube or vice versa. It is only essential that the frictional engagement only assumes high values when the support is axially loaded.
- the threaded nut can be designed in the manner of a wing nut, on the wing of which tools can be attached in order to be able to turn the wing nut somewhat under load.
- the threaded nut can have an extension on its underside, which is conical and with which the threaded nut engages in the funnel-shaped part.
- the nut can have thread threads continuing the nut thread on its surface facing the inner tube.
- the surface of the extension facing the inner tube can also be without thread and surround the inner tube at a more or less large distance.
- the inner tube of a support is guided in the outer tube in a rotationally fixed manner in embodiments of the invention, for example in that axially extending ribs are provided on the outer surface of the inner tube, which are in on the inner surface of the outer tube engage axially extending grooves. Even under very high vertical loads, the inner tube does not turn when the nut is turned.
- the funnel-shaped part does not necessarily have to be a closed one Have area. Rather, individual axially extending slots can be provided in the funnel-shaped surface, through which dirt accumulating in the funnel can escape to the outside.
- the sections of the funnel-shaped surface separated by slots can be designed as rigid as if the funnel-shaped surface were closed. However, these sections can also be designed to be somewhat resilient.
- the inner tube 1 has an external thread, which is formed in that in the axially outwardly directed ribs 3 Recesses 5 are provided which are open to the outside.
- the recesses 5 of the one rib 3 are offset from the recesses 5 of the adjacent rib by the thread pitch in the axial direction.
- four ribs 3 distributed over the circumference of the inner tube are provided.
- the four recesses 5 distributed over the circumference therefore form a thread 6 of the external thread on the inner tube 1, the pitch of which is explained by the lines 1 drawn in broken lines in FIG. 1.
- a nut 7 is screwably guided on the external thread 6 formed by the recesses 5, the threads 8 of which engage in the recesses 5 forming the external thread. Between the individual ribs 3 distributed over the circumference of the inner tube 1, the threads 8 of the nut 7 do not engage the outer surface of the inner tube 1.
- the nut 8 has radially projecting vanes 9 and below these vanes 9 an extension 10, the surface of which faces the inner tube also has threads 8.
- the outer surface 11 of the extension 10 is conical and engages in a funnel-shaped attachment 12 which is rigidly attached to the upper end face of the outer tube 2.
- This funnel-shaped surface can be in one piece, but can also be interrupted by longitudinal slots.
- the inner surface of the funnel-shaped part 12 has the same cone angle as the outer surface 11 of the extension 10.
- the inner tube is pulled upwards so far that between the outer surface 11 of the extension 10 and the inner surface of the funnel-shaped part 12 is such a large distance that the nut 7 can be easily rotated on the external thread 6 of the inner tube 1 and thus the length of the support is easily adjustable. If a load rests on the support, the conical surface 11 of the extension is pressed into the funnel-shaped part 12 and between the extension 10 and the part 12 there is such a large frictional engagement that the nut 7 does not rotate unintentionally.
- the frictional flow between the conical surface 11 and the inner surface of the funnel-shaped part 12 is overcome in that the nut 7 is rotated somewhat against this frictional engagement with a hand tool.
- the pitch of the thread 6 and the cone angle of the outer surface 11 of the extension 10 of the nut 7 and the corresponding cone angle of the inner surface of the funnel-shaped part 12 are coordinated so that the torque exerted by the large thread pitch of the thread 6 on the nut 7 under axial load is caught by the frictional engagement of the cone.
- the illustrated embodiment of the adjustment device of a prop length has the advantage that in the absence of a load on the prop by a slight pulling out of the inner tube from the outer tube, the frictional engagement is completely eliminated, but automatically occurs when the load is applied, and the stronger the greater the prop load and so that the torque acting on the nut through the thread is also.
- the lower end of the extension 10 has a small distance 13 from the lower end of the funnel-shaped surface.
- the wings 9 of the nut 7 can have a cutout 14 for inserting a tension rod when the nut 7 is rotated under axial load.
- the invention can be advantageously implemented not only in the case of supports, but also, if required, in the case of screw drives intended for other devices.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a telescopically extendable support for construction, in particular to a ceiling support, the length of which can be adjusted with the aid of a threaded drive having a thread and a threaded nut.
Known ceiling supports of this type, such as are described, for example, on page 197 of the Peri
The invention has for its object a support like this train that it can be adjusted very easily over a long length.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the pitch angle of the thread lies outside the self-locking and that the torque exerted on the threaded nut under load is absorbed by a frictional engagement exerted on the threaded nut outside the thread.
The advantage of the invention is that the thread pitch of the screw drive operating outside the self-locking can be very large, so that all the extension lengths of the support that are usually required can be set with a few turns of the threaded nut. The torque acting on the threaded nut when the screw drive is axially loaded, which would cause the threaded nut to rotate due to the large thread pitch, is then absorbed by a frictional engagement acting on the threaded nut outside the thread.
In the case of embodiments of the invention, the known slots in the outer tube can thus be dispensed with and also the support members, via which the threaded nut moves the inner tube axially.
An advantage of the invention is also the simple construction of the length adjustability of the support. In embodiments of the invention, namely, the thread acting outside the self-locking can be arranged directly on the outer surface of the inner tube and the threaded nut guided in this thread is then supported on the upper end of the outer tube of the support.
The frictional engagement, which prevents unintentional rotation of the threaded nut, can be implemented in various ways in embodiments of the invention. For example, a tightening strap connected to the outer tube in a rotationally fixed manner can attack the outer periphery of the threaded nut, which is released during the length adjustment and which is then firmly attached to its periphery to prevent inadvertent rotation of the threaded nut, for example by means of a tightening strap shortening the tightening strap between the ends of the Strap. A rough adjustment of the prop length is then carried out with the tightening strap loosened, a fine adjustment, which only requires a rotation of the threaded nut by a few angular degrees, is then carried out with moderately tightened tightening strap with the aid of tools which engage the threaded nut.
A frictional engagement which can be canceled out for the rough adjustment of the support length can also be achieved in embodiments of the invention in that the frictional engagement is formed between a conical surface on the nut and a non-rotatable part of the support, which has an upwardly widening, funnel-shaped surface which at least partially forms the conical surface records. When the screw drive is axially loaded, the conical surface of the nut is pressed into the funnel-shaped, non-rotating surface. The greater the axially acting load, the tighter the friction between the nut and the non-rotatable part. As long as there is still a small distance between the cone and the conical surface, the nut can be turned very easily by hand and the length of the column can thus be adjusted within a wide range. For example, the thread leading the nut can be provided on the inner tube and the funnel-shaped surface on the outer tube or vice versa. It is only essential that the frictional engagement only assumes high values when the support is axially loaded.
If a fine adjustment of the prop length is to take place under load, the frictional engagement of the conical surface must be overcome by turning the spindle nut by a few degrees. The threaded nut can be designed in the manner of a wing nut, on the wing of which tools can be attached in order to be able to turn the wing nut somewhat under load.
In embodiments of the invention, the threaded nut can have an extension on its underside, which is conical and with which the threaded nut engages in the funnel-shaped part. In the area of this extension, the nut can have thread threads continuing the nut thread on its surface facing the inner tube. In other embodiments of the invention, the surface of the extension facing the inner tube can also be without thread and surround the inner tube at a more or less large distance.
If the inner tube and the outer tube are not otherwise held in a rotationally fixed manner, the inner tube of a support is guided in the outer tube in a rotationally fixed manner in embodiments of the invention, for example in that axially extending ribs are provided on the outer surface of the inner tube, which are in on the inner surface of the outer tube engage axially extending grooves. Even under very high vertical loads, the inner tube does not turn when the nut is turned.
The funnel-shaped part does not necessarily have to be a closed one Have area. Rather, individual axially extending slots can be provided in the funnel-shaped surface, through which dirt accumulating in the funnel can escape to the outside. The sections of the funnel-shaped surface separated by slots can be designed as rigid as if the funnel-shaped surface were closed. However, these sections can also be designed to be somewhat resilient.
Further features of the invention will become apparent from the following description of an embodiment of the invention in conjunction with the claims and the drawing. The individual features can be implemented individually or in groups in one embodiment of the invention.

The
To adjust the length of the support without axial loading of the inner tube, the inner tube is pulled upwards so far that between the
The illustrated embodiment of the adjustment device of a prop length has the advantage that in the absence of a load on the prop by a slight pulling out of the inner tube from the outer tube, the frictional engagement is completely eliminated, but automatically occurs when the load is applied, and the stronger the greater the prop load and so that the torque acting on the nut through the thread is also. The lower end of the
The invention can be advantageously implemented not only in the case of supports, but also, if required, in the case of screw drives intended for other devices.
