Aus der DE-PS 469 385 ist eine Schutzkappe für eine Kabelkupplung in Verbindung mit einer selbsttätigen Fahrzeugkupplung bekannt, wobei die Schutzkappe mit den Kupplungsteilen der Fahrzeugkupplung zwangsläufig so verbunden ist, daß beim Kuppeln der Fahrzeuge beide Schutzkappen von den Kabelenden fortbewegt werden, so daß ein Kuppeln der Fahrzeuge ohne gleichzeitige Freigabe der stromführenden Kabelenden nicht möglich ist. Zu diesem Zweck ist die Schutzkappe mit den Kuppelteilen der Fahrzeuge so verbunden, daß die beim Kuppeln zurückgehende Kuppelöse an dem zugehörigen Kuppelkopf einen Hebel umlegt, der vor dem Auftreffen der Kabelkupplungen das Emporklappen der Schutzkappe herbeiführt. Der Kupplungsgreifer der Gegenkupplung trifft auf die Steuerklappe 3 auf und schwenkt diese um das Gelenk 6 bis in die Endstellung unter den Kupplungskopf 5. Gleichzeitig mit der Steuerklappe 3. wird die Steuerkulisse 7 auf ihrer Bahn angehoben.
