Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Patentanspruchs 1. Die Kombination von Reibschluß der elastischen Lagerung und Verrastung mit der Zündkerze ermöglicht es, das System bereits bei Einsetzen in die Durchtrittsöffnung während ein und desselben Arbeitsgangs in seiner Lage zu fixieren. Zusätzliche Befestigungsschrauben oder dgl., die einen separaten Arbeitsgang erfordern, entfallen. Die elastische Lagerung der Zündspule und damit des Einzelspulenzündsystems sorgt darüber hinaus für eine stetige Bedämpfung während des Betriebs der Brennkraftmaschine. Das Fehlen von außen mittig angeordneten Durchtrittsöffnungen für Befestigungsschrauben erhöht die mechanische Stabilität des Gesamtsystems. Die Verrastung des Zündkerzensteckers mit der Zündkerze ist zwar seit langem für Zündkerzenstecker bekannt, die über ein Zündkabel mit einer zentralen Zündspule verbunden sind. Im Unterschied dazu ist der Zündkerzenstecker bei der Erfindung während der Montage i.d.R. nicht sichtbar und das Erreichen der Wirklage auch von außen nicht erkennbar. Hier ermöglicht es die Verrastung mechanisch und akustisch zu erkennen, daß das Einzelspulenzündsystem die vorgesehene Position erreicht hat.
