Das Einbringen der Kerngießmasse in den Kernhohlraum und das Anschmelzen der Kopfzone des Lippenstift-Außenmantels in Abhängigkeit vom Kristallisationsprozeß des Lippenstift-Außenmantels bzw. des Innenkernes und das Unterfüllen des Innenkernes gewährleistet eine stoffliche Bindung der beiden Gießmassen im Fußbereich des Lippenstiftes und damit eine ausreichende Verankerung des Innenkernes im Lippenstift-Außenmantel. Damit wird es möglich, die nachfolgende Entformung des Lippenstiftes aus der Gießform mittels Druckluft problemlos durchführen zu können.

Parallel und fluchtend zu den zweireihig radial angeordneten Gießformen 3 sind in dem drehbaren Gießtisch 1 zwei Reihen von Aufnahmebohrungen 5 ausgebildet, die zur zeitweisen Aufnahme einer Einsatzvorrichtung 6 dienen (Fig. 1,5 und 7). Entlang der Mittellinie eines jeden Kerneinsatzes 12 ist eine Entlüftungsbohrung 13 eingebracht. Der Durchmesser dieser Entlüftungsbohrung 13 beträgt 30 bis 40 % des mitteleren Außendurchmessers eines Kerneinsatzes 12. Vorzugsweise weist die Entlüftungsbohrung 13 einen Durchmesser von 2 mm auf.
Die aus der Unterseite der Platte 11 herausragende Länge der Kerneinsätze 12 ist größer, vorzugsweise um 0,5 mm größer als die mittlere Tiefe der Gießformen 3. Ferner befinden sich zwischen dem Handlingsgerät 22 und 23 in Drehrichtung des Gießtisches 1 auf dem feststehenden Tischteil 2 nacheinander eine Einrichtung 25 zum dosierten Füllen der Gießformen 3 mit Gießmasse für den farbgebenden Lippenstift-Außenmantel mit zwei vertikal bewegbaren Tauchdüsen, ein in Richtung des Gießtischmittelpunktes ausgerichteter Pneumatikzylinder 26 mit einer ausfahrbaren Kolbenstange 27 und mit einem keilförmigen Kunststoffkörper 28, der mit der Kolbenstange 27 verbunden ist, sowie eine geneigte Ebene 29 mit einem Neigungswinkel von 2°.
An das Handlingsgerät 23 schließt sich in Drehrichtung des Gießtisches 1 eine, in der Zeichnung nicht dargestellte Einrichtung zur optischen Kontrolle der Kerneinsätze 12, eine Einrichtung 30 zum dosierten Füllen des durch die Kerneinsätze 12 gebildeten Hohlraumes mit Kerngießmasse sowie eine Anschmelzeinheit 31 mit einem Infrarot-Heizstab an. Diese vorgenannten Einrichtungen sind ebenfalls auf dem feststehenden Tischteil 2 installiert und reichen in den Randbereich des Gießtisches 1 hinein.

Der Innenkern wird also um den vorbezeichneten Betrag kürzer als der Lippenstift-Außenmantel ausgeführt.

Kurz vor Beendigung des Innenkernschrumpfungsprozesses, was dadurch erkennbar ist, daß sich im oberen Teil des gegossenen Innenkernes ein Trichter oder ein sogenannter Sinkkrater bildet, wird in dem nachfolgenden Verfahrensschritt mit Hilfe der Anschmelzeinheit 31 die Kopfzone des Lippenstift-Außenmantels angeschmolzen. Die angeschmolzene Gießmasse für den Lippenstift-Außenmantel fließt dabei in den im Innenkern ausgebildeten Trichter, das sogenannte Coring und schmilzt diesen wieder etwas an. Dadurch wird eine stoffliche Bindung der beiden Gießmassen erzielt und der Innenkern durch die überschüssige Lippenstift-Mantelmasse praktisch eingekapselt.
Dem Zeitpunkt für das Anschmelzen kommt eine besondere Relevanz zu. Einerseits muß der Lippenstift-Außenmantel soweit erkaltet sein, daß nur die Kopfzone und nicht der übrige Teil des Außenmantels geschmolzen wird. Andererseits kann es dann, wenn der Innenkern bereits relativ erkaltet ist, beim Einfließen der geschmolzenen Lippenstift-Mantelmasse zur Bildung von Lunkern, beispielsweise in Form von Lufteinschlüssen kommen, die der angestrebten stofflichen Bindung der beiden Gießmassen entgegen wirkt. Eine feste Verankerung des Innenkerns im Lippenstift-Außenmantel kann auf diese Weise nicht gewährleistet werden.
Diese Verankerung ist aber für die Durchführung des nächsten Verfahrensschrittes, nämlich des Entformens des abgekühlten Lippenstiftes aus der Gießform 3 und das Einbringen in den Lippenstifthalter 33 mittels Druckluft eine Voraussetzung.
Wie bereits dargelegt, ist unterhalb der zwei Gießformen 3, die entformt werden sollen, eine pneumatische Auswurfeinheit installiert, die zum Zeitpunkt des vorgesehenen Entformens mit einer im Boden einer jeden Gießform 3 angeordneten Bohrung in Verbindung stehen. Über diese Bohrung wird in bekannter Weise Druckluft in die Gießform 3 eingeleitet, wodurch der Lippenstift aus der Gießform 3 entfernt und in den Lippenstifthalter 33 "eingeschossen" wird.
Ist nun eine feste Verankerung zwischen dem Innenkern und dem Lippenstift-Außenmantel nicht erfolgt, wird durch die Einleitung der Druckluft der Innenkern aus dem Lippenstift-Außenmantel "herausgeschossen". Dies wird sicher auch dadurch begünstigt, daß sich am Innenkern noch Reste des Silikonöls vom Benetzen der Kerneinsätze 12 befinden.

A firm anchoring of the inner core in the lipstick outer jacket cannot be guaranteed in this way.
However, this anchoring is a prerequisite for carrying out the next process step, namely the demolding of the cooled lipstick from the casting mold 3 and the introduction into the lipstick holder 33 by means of compressed air.
As already explained, a pneumatic ejection unit is installed below the two casting molds 3 which are to be removed from the mold and, at the time of the intended removal from the mold, are connected to a bore arranged in the bottom of each casting mold 3. Compressed air is introduced into the casting mold 3 via this bore in a known manner, as a result of which the lipstick is removed from the casting mold 3 and "shot" into the lipstick holder 33.
If there is no firm anchoring between the inner core and the lipstick outer jacket, the inner core is "shot out" of the lipstick outer jacket by introducing the compressed air. This is certainly also favored by the fact that there are still residues of the silicone oil from the wetting of the core inserts 12 on the inner core.

Claims (5)

  1. Process for the production of a lipstick with curative internal core with the following phases:
    - Detecting and adjusting the clock time for the rotation of the mould frame depending on the melting temperature of the charge for the colouring external lipstick coat and for the curative internal core, on the preheating temperature and preheating time respectively the cooling temperature and cooling time of the casting moulds;
    - vertically conducted spraying the core inserts an casting moulds with a separating agent, preferably silicon oil;
    - heating the casting moulds by a tempered water circulation;
    - withdrawing an insertion device with six core inserts out of the disposal position and fixed insertion into the casting position, which is formed by a sector of six casting moulds;
    - dosed plunge-filling of the cavity between the casting mould and the core insert, led from the bottom of the casting mould vertically upwards, with melted charge for the colouring external lipstick coat;
    - cooling the filled casting mould by a tempered water circulation;
    - lifting vertically in a uniform way the insertion device in two phases at a moment in which the crystallization process within the charge and thus the shrinking process has not yet started and the external coat of the lipstick is still in a more or less pasty condition, in which the insertion device in the first lifting phase is extracted vertically for 2 to 3 mm out of the casting moulds, this position is maintained for 4 seconds and in the second phase the insertion device is again extracted vertically out of the casting moulds by 0,5 to 1 mm;
    - completely extracting the insertion device out of a sector of six casting moulds and laying it down again in disposal position;
    - withdrawing an insertion device out of the disposal position, optical check of the core inserts on the presence of charge of the external lipstick coat and signalling defects to the control system of the mould frame;
    - dosed plunge-filling, conducted from the bottom of the casting mould vertically upwards, of the core cavity with melted charge for the curative internal core after the crystallization process of the cast external lipstick coat and thus its shrinking process has ended, introducing the charge for the internal core into the core cavity in a level that is by 2 to 3 mm lower than the level of the cast external coat of the lipstick;
    - melting-on the head zone of the external coat of the lipstick shortly before the end of the shrinking process of the internal core and encapsulating the cast internal core, at the same time going on with the cooling of the casting moulds;
    - cooling the casting moulds until the crystallization and solidification of the melted-on head zone of the external coat of the lipstick as well as of the internal core;
    - removing the cooled lipstick from the casting mould and inserting it in the lipstick holder by means of compressed gas, preferably compressed air.
  2. Casting plant for the production of a lipstick with curative internal core, essentially consisting of a fixed frame part, a rotating clocked mould frame with casting moulds disposed radially in two lines, of a device for the dosed filling and tempering of the charge, for heating and cooling the casting moulds as well as for expelling the formed object by means of compressed air, characterized by the fact that parallel and aligned as to the casting moulds (3) disposed radially in two lines, in the rotating mould frame (1) two lines of location holes (5) are formed for temporarily locating an insertion device (6) for forming each time the internal core cavity, in which each time six location holes (5) form a location sector (7) and the central location hole of the lower line of a location sector (7) is provided with a manifold (8), whose diameter and protrusion as to the plane of the mould frame (1) correspond to the arrangement and form of the casting moulds (3) and in the upper line of each location sector (7) between the central and the left respectively right location hole (5) each time a position-defining element in the form of a location bolt (9) is provided and that the insertion device (6) includes a trapezoidal plate (11) with six core inserts formed slightly conically (12), in which the upper ends of the core inserts are fixed in the plate (11) and are carried through it evenly, the length of the core inserts (12) that protrudes out of the lower side of the plate (11) is longer than the mean depth of the casting moulds (3) and the lower end of each core insert (12) presents a slope which corresponds to the inclination of the bottom of the casting moulds (3), and that along the centre line of each core insert (12) a ventilation hole (13) is applied, the diameter of which is 30 to 40% of the mean external diameter of a core insert (12) and the core inserts (12) are arranged in the plate (11) according to the centre line distances of the casting moulds (3) of a sector, and that the insertion device furthermore is distinguished by the fact that on the lower side of the plate (11) six recesses (14 to 19) for locating the collars (4) of the casting moulds protruding out of the frame mould (1) plane and two grooves (10) for the two location bolts (9) are provided, that, radially staggered as to the core inserts (12) each time a filling opening (20) is applied in the plate (11) and that at the rear and front frontal surface [sic] of the plate (11) one or two countersinkings (21) are provided for the engagement of two handling apparatuses (22 and 23), and characterized by the fact that between a device (25) for the dosed filling of the casting moulds (3) with charge for the colouring external lipstick coat and the second handling apparatus (23) on the fixed frame part (2) that surrounds the frame mould (1) peripherically, one after the other, a pneumatic cylinder (26) oriented in direction of the mould frame centre whose extractable piston bar (27) is provided with a wedge-shaped plastic body (28), as well as a tilted plane (29) with an inclination angle of 2° are arranged, and that between the second handling apparatus (23) and a device (30) for the dosed filling of the core cavity with core charge, a device for the optical control of the core inserts (12) is installed on the fixed frame part (2) and that the device (30) for the dosed filling of the core cavity is followed by a melting-on unit (31) with an infrared heating bar.
  3. Casting plant according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the lower external diameter of the conical core inserts (12) is 5 mm, the upper external diameter is 5,5 mm and the diameter of the ventilation bore (13) 2 mm.
  4. Casting plant according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the length of the core inserts (12) that protrudes out of the plate (11) is longer by 0,5 mm than the mean depth of the casting moulds (3).
  5. Casting plant according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the tip of the wedge-shaped plastic body (28) has a radius of 3,5 mm.
