Les deuxièmes extrémités de chaque série sont elles aussi liées par un axe longitudinal. Cet axe est en outre associé au corps de pince par une association à jeu radial pour permettre le mouvement des deuxièmes extrémités par rapport au corps de pinces. L'écartement entre chaque deuxième extrémité d'une même série est aussi maintenu par des entretoises portées par l'axe. L'écartement entre deux doigts en vis à vis est obtenu par une entretoise transversale. L'élasticité de la pince est obtenue par un ressort hélicoïdal tendu entre deux doigts en vis à vis. Une telle pince fait partie d'un dispositif de pince. Ce dispositif comprend, outre la pince, un support sur lequel le corps de pince est monté rigidement, la deuxième mâchoire enserrant ledit support.
