Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to a device for processing of spectacle lenses with at least one processing station to edit the edge and / or one Surface of the spectacle lens and a multi-axis positioning unit, with a gripper unit that holds the lens grips and inserts into the respective processing station or takes from this.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Brillengläser werden derzeit etwa wie folgt hergestellt:Eyeglass lenses are currently manufactured as follows:

First, the actual manufacturer of the glasses a so-called blank is made; this means one finished and generally round, in in some cases, pre-rimmed glasses. Subsequently when a specific order is available of an optics shop either from the manufacturer itself or from a so-called prescription glass grinding shop the second area according to the respective regulation, which is therefore also called the recipe area.

This is still round or only pre-margined, but on both sides The finished lens is then sent to the respective optician sent, which corresponds to the rim of the lens the version chosen by the customer.

To save work steps and / or costs Lately trying to edit steps "Making the Recipe Area" and "Edge of the Eyeglass lenses for the selected frame "in one and the same Permanent establishment and if possible in one and the same device.

Recently in an earlier patent application by the applicant the present application, Wernicke & Co. GmbH, have been proposed to further reduce costs Handling of the glasses in particular in the edge devices by means of an industrial robot, i.e. one multi-axis positioning unit, to automate.

A device corresponding to the preamble of claim 1 is e.g. known from EP-A-0 175 431.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention has for its object a device for processing glasses with at least one Processing station for processing the edge and / or to develop a surface of the spectacle lens such that easy handling of glasses and in particular inserting this lens into a border and / or Surface processing device is possible.

An inventive solution to this problem is in the claim 1 specified. Developments of the invention are Subject of the subclaims.

The invention is based on the basic idea of glasses to handle with suction pads. Suction pads are for Handling of objects generally known, however for the handling of eyeglass lenses has so far not been considered been drawn.

The reason for this is likely to be that general prejudice exists, suction cups could only on level and not on convex or concave surfaces, as is the case with spectacle lenses usually present, be applied.

Because the (delimiting) surfaces of a lens often even one that deviates from the rotationally symmetrical shape Form, for example a toric form or a pure one have an aspherical shape like progressive lenses, assigns the Gripper unit designed according to the invention, comparatively small suction pads. Even with the progressive surface of a progressive lens can then it can be assumed that the area over the Approximate area where the respective suction gripper is attacking is rotationally symmetrical, so that the so-called "Bell" of the suction cup is fully against the surface.

Furthermore, it is advantageous according to the invention if the Gripper unit has two "coulters" of suction pads, which are arranged along a straight or curved line are. In particular, the two groups of suction cups be arranged along the two sides of a "U".

In a further embodiment of the gripper unit according to the invention it is possible to switch off individual suction cups and / or withdraw in the direction of touchdown so that also irregularly shaped glasses, such as those for extreme glasses frames are required, handled safely can be.

The gripper unit designed according to the invention can, for example in the automation of a known edge device on the concave side of the lens be placed on the convex side in known Way a so-called block for holding the glasses is placed in the edge device. The Gripper unit designed according to the invention thus allows for example, the inclusion of a lens to be edged from a centering unit in which the block is placed has been made without an operator performing the insertion process of the glasses in the processing station would have to monitor.

Darstellung von AusführungsbeispielenRepresentation of exemplary embodiments

Fig. 1 shows a suction pad unit according to the invention, the for inserting a spectacle lens in a not shown Device for processing spectacle lenses serves. This device has at least one processing station to edit the edge and / or one Surface of the lens and a multi-axis positioning unit on which the suction pad unit is attached. The positioning unit is used to position the suction pad unit relative to the processing station or Inserting or removing the suction pad unit in the or from the processing station.

Besonders bevorzugt liegt der Durchmesser der sogenannten Saugglocke der Sauggreifer bei etwa 5 bis 15 mm.The suction gripper unit has several suction grippers 1 to 6 whose diameter is significantly smaller than that is the typical diameter of a lens. The typical one The diameter of a lens is between 60 and 80 mm. The suction pads provided according to the invention have preferably has a diameter which is at least that Factor 3 is below the diameter of the lens. The diameter of the so-called is particularly preferred Suction cup of the suction pads at about 5 to 15 mm.

In the embodiment shown, the individual Suction pads 1 to 6 of the suction pad unit in the form of a "U" arranged. Two suction cups are in terms of flow connected such that a not shown Control unit pressurized them together with negative pressure or ventilated. In the embodiment shown the suction pads 1 and 4, 2 and 6, 3 and 5 each in pairs connected to each other in terms of flow. So that's it possible, the gripper unit designed according to the invention by switching off individual pairs of suction pads even at extreme to adapt designed lens shapes so that the glasses are picked up and handled safely can.

Fig. 2 zeigt ein weiteres Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung. Fig. 2 shows a further embodiment of the invention. In this exemplary embodiment there are two groups 11 or 12 of suction pads, of which the group 11 attached to an arm 11 'and the share 12 to an arm 12' which is pivotable about a common pivot point 13 are. The two arms are against each other by springs biased. Through this training it is possible that some of the suction pads against the direction of touchdown, the is symbolized by an arrow 14, is retractable.

The suction gripper unit according to the invention has i.a. the advantage, that the eyeglass lens easily after recording the horizontal to the vertical position and vice versa can be. In addition, it is particularly at the embodiment shown in Fig. 2 possible, the glasses by pulling back a bevy of suction cups against an attack. Furthermore can the gripper unit by pulling back part of the suction pads also adapted to extremely shaped glasses will.

Suction cup shapes can be used as suction cups, as they are from the prior art for suction cups for the handling of boxes etc. are known. So that can at this point for a detailed description of the suction pads to be dispensed with.

The control unit, which the individual suction pads or the suction pads with vacuum that are combined in pairs acted upon or ventilated, according to the prior art be designed so that also on a detailed Description can be dispensed with.

In any case, is designed according to the invention Device for processing glasses with at least one processing station for processing the Edge and / or a surface of the lens and one multi-axis positioning unit created the possibility an eyeglass lens during the machining process easy to pick up, handle, and into a processing station insert or remove from this.
