Description

The invention relates to a filling device for packaging, in particular paper bags, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In a known filling device of this type (GB-A 440,658), each filling station is assigned its own height-adjustable filling nozzle, which is arranged above the filling station. The lower edge of each filler neck can only be partially lowered into the packaging.

Füllvorrichtungen für Verpackungen, insb. Papiersäcke sind auch in Ausgestaltungen bekannt, bei denen der Fülltrichter einteilig ausgebildet ist (DE-604 247).Filling devices for packaging, in particular paper bags, are also known in configurations in which the filling funnel is made in one piece (DE-604 247).

In all known configurations, the weighed filling material is discharged into the packaging through the filling funnel in a filling station. Then compression takes place. The filling funnel or the filler neck must not emerge from the packaging until the upper edge of the initially undensified or only partially compressed filling material has reached a sufficient distance from the upper edge of the packaging.

In all known filling devices, the time for the filling speed is thus limited, which passes between the sagging of the filling material from the uncompressed state to the sagging of the filling material to a sufficient distance below the top edge of the packaging.

With all the filling devices known to date, this period cannot be shortened significantly. So far, the only way to reduce this period has been to intensify the compaction processes by shaking and vacuuming at the same time.

The only other way to shorten the period mentioned is to produce the packaging with excess length in order to be able to pull the funnel out of the packaging as early as possible. The initially undensified product has a much higher level than after compression. This results in unused paper bag or paper bag areas that later have to be cut off with a separate operation. In this way, material is wasted and there is a delay due to an additional machining process, namely the cutting process.

Based on the prior art, the invention has for its object a filling device known as to provide the required type in such a way that it has a simpler structure and nevertheless enables the total filling time to be shortened if the packaging height is not extended.

Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe erfolgt mit den Merkmalen des Kennzeichnungsteils von Patentanspruch 1.This object is achieved with the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

Due to the design according to the invention with a lower region designed as a filler neck, which stands in the lowered state with its lower edge on the bottom of the packaging and protrudes above the packaging, it is possible to distribute the compression process, if necessary, over a number of stations in which the filling material can sag to a level below the packaging edge.

The filler neck that can be coupled to the top of the hopper, which, together with the upper part of the filling funnel, forms the entire filling funnel, remains from an opening station which is expediently arranged upstream of the filling station, in which it is inserted into the empty packaging, up to a transfer station within the packaging.

Only in the filling station is the filler neck attached to the upper part of the funnel during the filling process, preferably in a dustproof manner.

The arrangement of the various stations arranged on a circle can be seen from FIG.

The flat gusseted bags 31 are provided in a magazine 30 and are fed into the opening station 1 in the pre-opened state via a transport device 32. A filling station 2 follows the opening station, followed by a precompression station 3. A transfer station 4 is then provided, which is followed by a post-compression station 5.

From the post-compression station, the filled packaging reaches a molding station 6 and from there into further post-processing stations 7, 8 and 9, which serve further processing operations, in particular closing operations, but are not of interest here.

The design of the filling funnel, which is shown in FIG. 3 in a divided arrangement, is decisive for the shortening of the filling time. The hopper has a hopper upper part 11a with a circumferential collar and a hopper lower part 11b with an upper circumferential flange. In the assembled state, flange 21 and collar 20 lie close together. The packaging 12 is in a known manner in a cassette 16. Inside the cassette 16 there is a bottom plate 17. The lower sealing edge of the filler neck 11b presses the bottom of the packaging 12 onto the elastic plate 17. Below the elastic plate 17 there is a vibrating device 15.

The upper part 11a of the funnel is connected via a bellows 18 to a scale 10 in which the filling material 13 is located. The upper part of the hopper can be moved up or down in the direction of the double arrow 19. The upper part 11a of the funnel is connected by means of a cantilever 22b to a sliding piece 22 which is displaceable on a vertical guide 23.

In the pre-opened packaging 12, which is located in the cassette 16, the filler neck 11b is inserted in the opening station by means of a transport device 35.

The transport device allows the filler neck 11b to be picked up from the transfer station and carried out transversely to the opening station 1, which is symbolized on the schematic sliding guide by the double arrow 36. When you reach one with the packaging open 12 aligned position (see FIG. 2), the filler neck 11b is lowered into the pre-opened packaging 12. The device then moves from the position shown in FIG. 2 back to the position above the transfer station 4 and is thus available for a new take-up of the filler neck after the next filling cycle.

The filler neck 11b sunk into the packaging 12 in the opening station 1, together with the cassette and the pack 12, reaches the filling station 2. In the filling station 2, the upper funnel part 11a is attached to the filler neck 11b in a dust-tight manner. After reaching the connection position shown in FIG. 4, the filling material is thrown out of the weighing container of the scale 10 through the upper funnel part 11a into the filling nozzle 11b. The filling level of the filling material 13 is located considerably above the upper edge of the packaging 12. A shaking with a shaking device 15 already leads to a slight lowering of the filling level in the filling nozzle 11b. The filler neck 11b then arrives in the precompression station 3. In this precompression station there is a suction dome 41a which has a collar 20 which fits onto the flange 21. A dust filter 25 is located in the suction dome. A suction air connection is designated by 26.

The suction dome 41a is connected via a cantilever 42a to a sliding sleeve 42 which is guided on a guide rod 43 so as to be displaceable in height. In the pre-compression station 3, the suction dome 41a is used for pre-compression with simultaneous vibration with the vibrating device 15. FIG. 6 shows that the fill level in the precompression station 3 has dropped to a level below the edge of the packaging 12. In the subsequent transfer station 4 (see FIG. 2), the filler neck 11 is pulled out of the packaging and moved into the opposite opening station 1.

The transfer station 4 is followed by a post-compression station 5, which is used for post-compression by means of a suction cup 27. The suction bell 27 is connected via a boom 29 a to a sliding sleeve 29 which is vertically displaceable on a vertical guide rod 28. The suction cup is lowered to the position shown in FIG. 8 for the suction process. After suction with the vacuum suction cup 27, the fill level of the filling material 13 has reached its finally desired height.

The filled and opened packaging then passes into a forming station 6, in which the side folds of the packaging 12 are produced. In the subsequent stations 7, 8 and 9, which lie outside the filling circle, additional operations are carried out on the packaging, namely folding, gluing, and possibly sealing. These supplementary stations have no influence on the design of the subject matter of the invention.
