Claims (14)

  1. Device for connecting a motor vehicle window pane to a window raiser by using at least one pair of clamping jaws which are pressed against each one side of the window pane through tension force in the area of one edge of the pane, characterised in that the clamping jaws can be loaded by a spring element in the direction of the window pane and means are provided to tension the spring element.
  2. Device according to claim 1 characterised in that the clamping jaws (11, 11a, 11b, 12, 12a, 12b) are connected to a substantially U-shaped spring clip (2, 2a, 2b) and that at least between one clamping jaw (12, 12a, 12b) and one end of the spring clip (2, 2a, 2b) there is a tension lever (4, 4a) or a tension cam (4b) or similar which in its tensioning position presses the ends of the spring clip (2, 2a, 2b) apart and thereby produces the tension force.
  3. Device according to claim 1 and 2 characterised in that the clamping jaws (11, 11a, 11b, 12, 12a, 12b) are connected together elastically through a common U-shaped area which has away from the pane edge a projection (10, 10a, 10b) for fixing the device with the mechanics of the window raiser.
  4. Device according to claim 1 to 3 characterised in that the tension lever is formed as an elbow lever (4) wherein one of its ends and the elbow area are connected for articulation with a clamping jaw (12) or with the associated end of the spring clip (2) whilst the other free end (40) of the elbow lever (4) is provided for introducing the force and thus for tensioning the spring clip (2).

  6. Device according to claim 1 to 3 characterised in that between the one clamping jaw (12b) and the associated end of the spring clip (2b) there is a tension cam (4b) which is connected on one side for articulated movement with the clamping jaw (12b) and on the other side with the spring clip (2b) through a slide guide (recess 20) wherein stops are provided for the tension cams (4b) for the relaxed state and the tensioned state.
  7. Device according to at least one of the preceding claims characterised in that the spring clip (2, 2a, 2b) can be mounted on at least one clamping jaw (11, 11a, 11b) through positive locking clips.
  8. Device according to claim 1 characterised in that one clamping jaw (11c, 11d) is a component part of a pane holder (1c or 1d, 1dd) formed as a spring clip and that the other clamping jaw (12c, 12d) is mounted as a component part of a tension cam (4c, 4d) for articulated movement on the associated end of the pane holder (1c, 1dd) wherein the tension cam (4c, 4d) can swivel into a stable tension position.
  9. Device according to claim 8 characterised in that the pane holder (1d, 1dd) formed as a tension clip is constructed in two parts whereby the clamping jaw (11d) and the projection (10d) are formed on the one part (1d) and this part (1d) supports a push-fit connection (spring yoke holder 6) whilst the other part (1dd) is fixed thereon through its tension end (60).
  10. Device according to one of claims 4, 5,6 or 8 characterised in that when the tension lever (4, 4a) or the tension cam (4b, 4c, 4d) or the like reaches the tensioning position it is locked in this position.
  11. Device for connecting a motor vehicle window pane to a window raiser by using at least one pair of clamping jaws which are pressed by tension force onto each side of the window pane in the area of a pane edge characterised in that a spacer member (7) presses the clamping jaws (11e, 12e) of a pane holder (1e, 1ee) formed as a spring clip wide apart until the gap is formed which is required for inserting the window pane (5) and that the spacer member (7) is removed when the window pane (5) is inserted in the insert position whereby the clamping jaws resiliently press on the surface of the window pane through the release of the stored tension force.
  12. Device according to claim 11 characterised in that the release of the tension force is unlocked by the lower edge of the pane.
  13. Device according to claim 1 characterised in that tapered inclines are provided on the clamping jaws to make it easier to insert the window pane into the gap between the clamping jaws.
  14. Method for producing the device according to claim 1 or 11 caracterised in that the clamping jaws, the tension clip and/or the tension lever are produced by profiling or extruding.
