Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a bulletproof window with movable frames that receive bulletproof panes and a stick frame that is connected to the masonry, one side of the frame or the stick frame each having a cover that also covers the pane edge bulletproof.
From DE-OS 4 319 302 it is known to provide the frame of bulletproof windows with a cover made of metal, so that it is usually made of wood or a other, comparatively soft material can not shoot through existing frames. To ensure better protection, the cover is also extended to the edge of the pane and overlaps one another. The cover is attached to the frame, for example, using screws or bolts. A space between the frame and cover ensures ventilation.
The invention has for its object to improve a bulletproof window of the known type so that the cover can ward off a shot better and more effectively.
To achieve this object, the invention is based on a bulletproof window of the type described above and suggests that the cover is resiliently mounted on the frame.
When a projectile hits the cover, the kinetic energy of the shot is not only converted into deformation energy, but part of the energy is converted into the spring energy of the spring. This means that the projectile is cushioned on the cover, which means that the steel of the shield is less or not damaged at all. With this design, it is possible to provide a thinner material for the cover with the same degree of bulletproofness. Now e.g. In addition to steel, other materials are used, such as suitable types of plastic.
It has proven to be advantageous if an intermediate space with at least one spring is provided between the cover and the frame. It is also possible to mount several springs without difficulty, which further improves the bullet resistance. A large number of springs accordingly absorb more kinetic energy of the projectile.
The space between the cover and frame also serves to ventilate the window.
In one embodiment of the invention, a metal cover is provided as the cover. Depending on the desired bullet resistance, other materials, such as plastics, fiber-reinforced plastics, and the like, can also be used.
To simplify assembly, threaded bolts are welded to the sides of the metal covers facing the frame. These threaded bolts correspond to holes that are provided in the frame. When assembled, the bolts on the inside of the frame have nuts. The nuts and bolts are commercially available and assembly is simple and easy.
It is advantageous if the spring between the frame and the metal cover is designed as a plate spring. Such a spring can also be easily retrofitted with the help of the bolt and the nut. The disc spring is used to absorb part of the kinetic energy of the projectile. The disc spring is distinguished e.g. due to their high spring constant, which enables high energy deposition in the spring. After the shot hits, the spring simply springs back into the old position.
It is advantageous if a protective cover is provided in the upper and lower contact area of the movable frame with the stick frame. In the known bulletproof frame, it has been found that, due to the design, a small, uncovered opening remains in the area of contact between the movable frame and the frame. This opening can easily be covered later with the help of a protective screen, so that optimum bulletproofness is achieved becomes. In order to increase the bullet resistance, it is intended to mount this screen resiliently.
It is advantageous if the protective cover is arranged on the outside of the cover of the frame. An arrangement on the inside of the frame is also conceivable.
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
- Fig. 1
- 3 shows a horizontal section through part of a bulletproof window according to the invention, here in the closed state,
- Fig. 2
- a side view of the upper part of a window according to the invention without veneers.
In Fig. 1 e.g. a two-leaf window shown, which consists of two
The
The
The
The
Due to the pivoting movements of the two wings, e.g. in the case of a double-leaf window, a
