Ein derartiger Schlüssel ist bekannt aus der deutschen Offenlegungsschrift 3314511. Bei dem bekannten Flachschlüssel verlaufen die Führungsnuten auf beiden Schlüsselbreitflächen parallel zueinander. Die Nutböden der Führungsnuten liegen geneigt zur Schlüsselebene. Der vorbekannte Schlüssel weist Führungsnuten auf, deren Wände winklig zur Schlüsselebene verlaufen. Die Nuttiefe ist derart, daß zumindestens ein Teilbereich des zur Schlüsselebene geneigten Nutbodens über die Längsmittelebene des Schlüssel ragt. Nachteilig an einem derartigen Schlüssel ist die durch die Tiefe und winklige Profilierung verursachte Materialschwächung des Schlüssels. Verschiedene Profilierungen von Flachschlüsseln sind aus der AS 1030727, der PS 2551523, der PS 1553582, der OS 2637516 und der AT-PS 360364 bekannt. Die dort offenbarten Führungsnuten weisen einen Boden auf, welcher parallel zur Schlüsselebene verläuft. Zufolge der erfindungsgemäßen Weiterbildung ist ein Schlüssel gegeben, bei welchem die Bezugsebene für die Böden der Nut nicht mehr die Längsmittelebene des Schlüssels ist, sondern eine geneigt zur Schlüssel-Längsmittelebene verlaufende Schräge. Diese Schräge bildet die Bodenebene aus, in welcher die Böden von jeweils mindestens einer Nut von jeder der beiden Schlüsselbreitseiten liegen. Dabei kann ein Teilbereich eines Nutbodens über die Längsmittelebene hinausragen. Der Bodenebene sind die Böden mindestens zweier Nuten zugeordnet. Eine davon verläuft auf der gegenüberliegenden Schlüsselbreitseitenfläche. Zufolge dieser Bezugsebene ist eine Materialstärkung des Schlüssels gegeben. Es ist bevorzugt vorgesehen, daß eine ausgezeichnete Schräge von keiner der Nuten durchbrochen wird. Hierdurch ist eine - wenn auch infenitesimale - Materialbrücke gegeben. Bevorzugt verlaufen die Nutwände der sich gegenüberliegenden Nuten senkrecht zur Schlüsselbreitseitenfläche. Die Nutböden verlaufen demzufolge in einem spitzen bzw. stumpfen Winkel zur Nutwand. Hierdurch ist eine optimale, hinterschneidungsfreie Gestaltung der zu den Führungsnuten korrespondierenden Führungsrippen im Schlüsseleinsteckschlitz des Schließzylinders gegeben. Es kann vorgesehen sein, daß sämtliche Führungsnuten sowohl der einen, als auch der anderen Schlüsselbreitseitenfläche mit ihren Böden auf einer gemeinsamen Schrägen (Bodenebene) verlaufen. In einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung ist aber auch vorgesehen, daß mehrere parallel zueinander angeordnete Bodenebenen vorgesehen sind. Dabei ist bevorzugt eine Bodenebene ausgezeichnet, indem sie von keiner Nut durchbrochen wird. Der Schlüssel hat bevorzugt ein rechteckiges Querschnittsprofil. Er kann als Wendeschlüssel ausgebildet sein.
