Die an der Lösetaste und an der Sperrplatte durch Massenträgheit auftretenden Kräfte am Ende eines Gurtstrafferhubes, durch den der Verschluß zum Fahrzeugboden hin verlagert wird, sind in Öffnungsrichtung der Lösetaste gerichtet, so daß besondere Maßnahmen ergriffen werden müssen, um ein selbsttätiges Öffnen des Verschlusses zu verhindern. Zu diesem Zweck ist an der Lösetaste eine Sperrklinke gelagert, die aufgrund ihrer Massenträgheit bei plötzlicher Beschleunigung der Lösetaste verschwenkt wird und in eine Rastöffnung am Rahmen des Verschlusses eintaucht. Die Verschwenkung der Klinke muß sehr schnell erfolgen, damit die beabsichtigte Blockierung der Lösetaste eintritt. Bei extrem hohen Beschleunigungen des Verschlusses kann dies nicht immer gewährleistet werden. Der Verschluß für Sicherheitsgurte verbindet eine herkömmliche Steckzunge 10 mit einem Beschlag 12, an dem ein Gurtstraffer, ein sogenannter Schloßstraffer, angreifen kann. Der Verschluß umfaßt einen mit dem Beschlag 12 verbundenen lasttragenden Rahmen 14, der in Draufsicht U-förmig gebogen ist und zwischen dessen Schenkeln ein Schwenkriegel 16 schwenkbar gelagert ist. Im geschlossenen Zustand (Fig. 2) greift der Schwenkriegel 16 mit einem Haken 16a an einer Rastkante 10a der Steckzunge 10 an. In zwei zueinander und zur Steckzunge 10 parallelen Führungsschlitzen 18 in den Schenkeln des Rahmens 14 ist eine Sperrplatte 20 verschiebbar geführt.
