Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an insert for a water tank for washing out and squeezing out raster sponges, with two plates provided with openings in a washing zone and in a squeezing zone in a horizontal position at different heights. The use of the insert part is also within the scope of the invention.
So-called grid sponges are used to smooth and wash fresh joints on wall and floor coverings. Since dirt particles and joint residues get stuck in the grid sponge, it has to be washed out frequently and the water then pressed out of the sponge. For this purpose, it is known to pivot the grid sponge a few times in a container filled with water and then to squeeze the water out of the sponge in that the grid sponge is guided over two rollers arranged on the water container using a certain contact pressure. This conventional procedure for washing out and pressing out raster sponges has two major disadvantages. By simply swiveling the grid sponge in the water, only a small part of the dirt particles and joint residues absorbed by the sponge are washed out. When the water is subsequently pressed out using the rollers, the dirt particles are worked even further into the sponge. In addition, squeezing the water out of the rollers quickly damages the sponge so that it has to be replaced prematurely.
The container is divided into two, with perforated parts in each container Plates are arranged in a horizontal position at different heights, forming a washing zone and a squeezing zone.
In practice it has been shown that perforated plates cannot effectively clean grid sponges.
In view of these circumstances, the inventor has set himself the task of providing a device for washing out and squeezing out raster sponges, which enables the efficient removal of dirt and joint residues from the sponge and at the same time allows the water to be squeezed out gently from the cleaned sponge.
To achieve the object according to the invention, an insert part for a water container leads, in which the washing zone is formed by a first metal frame with a grating which is interchangeably inserted therein and the squeezing zone is formed by a second metal frame with a grating which is interchangeably inserted therein.
Special and further developing embodiments of the insert part according to the invention are the subject of dependent patent claims.
In use, the insert is placed in a water container and the water container is filled with water in such a way that the grating in the area of the washing zone comes to lie just below the water line.
The required cleaning and gentle pressing is achieved by pressing the grid sponge in stages against the grating in the washing zone and then in the squeezing zone.
The gratings or the metal frames are preferably in a horizontal distance from each other and rigidly connected to each other via connecting webs.
The first metal frame expediently has a first pair of feet and the second metal frame has a second pair of feet. The height of the grating or the second metal frame in the squeeze-out zone corresponds approximately to twice the height of the grating or the first metal frame in the washing zone.
Plastic is particularly suitable as the material for the gratings. Metal frames, connecting bars and pairs of feet are preferably made of steel, welded together and then galvanized.

Each of the
The
The mode of operation of the
The
