Description

The present invention relates to a battery-powered, user-friendly hearing aid that is simple in construction.

In principle, hearing aids must be as small as possible. However, their development must also go in the direction of simplest operation, since their users are generally older people. However, the simple operation of such hearing aids means that even children, in particular, have easy access to the battery of such hearing aids. There is therefore a risk that children play with such batteries and swallow them, which can lead to great difficulties for the child and the hearing aid owner.

On the basis of this situation, the present invention aims to create a battery-powered hearing aid which, in the assembled, ready-to-use state, makes easy access to the operating battery impossible, so that such hearing aids are inaccessible to the battery, in particular by small children.

In this sense, the present invention is characterized according to one of the claims.

The invention is subsequently explained, for example, using a drawing.

Basically, it should be noted that such a hearing aid must be easy to use and still require optimal execution in terms of safety, operation, etc. This also includes the simple operation of the battery change, which, however, makes access to the battery in the installed state, especially by children, impossible.

Fig. 1 shows a part 1 of a hearing aid with a battery 3, which is inserted in a battery drawer 4. The Battery drawer 4 has a bore 5, the pivot axis of which is designated 6.

The battery drawer 4 is covered together with the battery 3 by two housing halves 7 and 8. The battery drawer 4 is provided with a conventional lock 9, which is actuated to pivot the battery drawer 4 out about the pivot axis 6 and allows access to the battery 3. A partially open battery drawer 4 can be seen in FIG. 3.

This support ring 10 has a safety lock recess 11 as well as a slot-shaped recess 19 and a holding groove 20 which, as explained later, serve to open the child safety device.

Fig. 5 shows a perspective view of the interior of the housing half 7 with a pivot pin 12 which engages in the bore 5 of the battery drawer 4 and a safety bolt 14 which can be inserted into a recess 15 and has a gripping groove 16, which bolt 14 belongs to a safety lock. The securing bolt 14 can easily be used by a specialist if required and can also be removed again thanks to its gripping groove. A window 18 of the housing half 7 is also shown. As for the child safety device according to the invention, which is intended to make access to the battery considerably more difficult, this is explained with reference to the following figures. It should be emphasized that these are exemplary embodiments and possibilities of such safeguards, not exclusively feasible constructions.

Fig. 6 shows analogous to Fig. 3, but with the housing half raised 7, the almost closed, but not childproof condition of the battery drawer 4 (without battery). Since the battery drawer 4 must be elastically deformed with respect to its pivot axis 6, for example with a pressure in the direction of the arrow to slip over a locking pin 22, which corresponds to the securing bolt 14, a corresponding material is selected, or a corresponding bending point of the battery drawer 4 through a recess 19 in the battery support ring 10 set. This makes it possible to push the battery drawer 4 over the locking pin 22 into the closed position, so that the safety lock recess 11 encloses the locking pin 22 in a form-fitting manner, which makes it impossible to open the battery drawer 4 from the outside, despite actuation of the lock 9. Of course, instead of the battery drawer, the blocking pin 22 can be elastically deformable.

(Fig. 4)FIG. 8 shows such a security lock, which can be opened with the aid of a screwdriver 25. To insert this screwdriver 25, a guide groove 23 is provided between the closure 9 of the battery drawer 4, 30 and the wall housing half 8 or the wall housing half 7, or both, through which the front end of the screwdriver 25 reaches the interior of the battery drawer 4 in the manner shown and by moving in the direction of the arrow disengages the drawer securing part pivoting about the recess 19 into the position shown in FIG. 6. For secure mounting, the front end of the screwdriver 25 can be pushed into a holding groove 20 provided in the battery support ring 10. (Fig. 4)

In this way, it is possible to release the child safety device, ie the blocking of the battery drawer 4, by the engagement of the safety lock recess 11 around the locking pin 22 and to pivot the battery drawer 4 fully out.

While the previously described battery drawer 4 is cylindrical, but not only open on both sides, but also on one side of the casing, the embodiment shown in FIG. 9, the battery drawer 30, is closed in a ring. This battery drawer 30 has instead of the cylindrical bore 5 of the battery drawer 4 on both sides an elongated hole recess 37 and 38, in each of which an axle holder 34 protrudes into the housing half 7 and 35 into the housing half 8 in the assembled state. The two axle holders 34 and 35 serve to hold a bearing axle 31, which in turn is additionally mounted practically free of play in a drawer bearing 33.

As shown in FIG. 10, the battery drawer 30 is provided with a bore 39 on both sides of the drawer bearing 33.

This embodiment allows the locking pin 22 to be slipped on when pressed in the direction of the arrow (FIG. 6) even if the battery drawer cannot be elastically deformed or if no bending point can act (as is shown in FIG. 9).

While the two exemplary embodiments explained show so-called child locks, in which parts are deformed elastically or are disengaged from engagement with locking elements by displacement, it is of course also possible to install the battery drawers as solid parts in the housing of the hearing aid and to cover them with appropriately secured covers. However, one of the simplest options is that according to FIGS. 1 to 8 of the embodiment explained.

It is of course also possible to provide hearing aids of this type without childproof lock, but with their installation option. In this way, the appearance of children in the family on existing hearing aids, the child lock can be installed at any time.
