Dabei besteht die Verriegelungsvorrichtung aus wenigen und verhältnismäßig einfach herstellbaren Teilen, die auch stets zuverlässig zusammenwirken. An der Rückseite der um eine Lagerwelle schwenkbar gelagerten Griffplatte befinden sich ein Schieber, ein exzentrisches Teil und ein zweiarmiger Verschlußhebel, während an einem Aufnahmegehäuse ein zweiarmiger Schwenkhebel angelenkt ist. Durch diesen werden über einen Bowdenzug die am Aufbewahrungsbehälter seitlich vorgesehenen Schwenkrasten betätigt. Bei verrastetem Betätigungshebel liegen die Arme des Verschlußhebels am Schieber bzw. nahe am Schwenkhebel an, wodurch sich die Griffplatte in Verriegelungslage befindet und dadurch der Aufbewahrungsbehälter über die Schwenkrasten und die mit diesen zusammenwirkenden Rastnasen verrastet ist. Die über den verrasteten Betätigungshebel verriegelte Griffplatte kann jedoch nur über den Schlüssel des Schließzylinders entriegelt werden, wobei das exzentrische Teil den Schieber längsverlagert und dadurch ein Arm des Verschlußhebels in eine zugewandte Ausnehmung des Schiebers eintaucht. Wie in Figur 7 ersichtlich, wird hierbei der Schieber 30 durch die Wirkung der Druckfeder 32 gegen den exzentrischen Nocken 28 gepreßt, wobei gleichzeitig der erste Arm 40' des sich in Verrastlage f befindenden Verschlußhebels 40 durch die Wirkung der vorgespannten Schenkelfeder 41 gegen den Schieber 30 gepreßt wird; hierbei liegt der zweite Arm 40'' des Verschlußhebels 40 nahe an der Stützschulter 51 des Schwenkhebels 50. Nachdem hierbei der erste Arm 50' des Schwenkhebels 50 über das flexible Seil 14' des Bowdenzugs 14 durch die Wirkung der vorgespannten Druckfeder 45 gegen das gehäusefeste Aufnahmeteil 44 gezogen wird, liegt der zweite Arm 50'' des Schwenkhebels 50 federbelastet am Anschlag 42 der Aufnahmeplatte 22 an, so daß die Griffplatte 10 schwenkfest festgelegt ist und sich damit in der Figur 5 dargestellten Verriegelungslage c befindet. Dieser beaufschlagt hierbei den Schieber 30 an dessen Anlageschulter 30''' und verschiebt ihn dabei gegen die Wirkung der Druckfeder 32 in Pfeilrichtung n, wodurch der Schieber 30 schließlich eine zurückgesetzte, in Figur 8 dargestellte Schiebestellung einnimmt. Sobald diese erreicht ist, wird der erste Arm 40' des Verschlußhebels 40 durch die Wirkung der vorgespannten Schenkelfeder 41 in die nach unten offene Ausnehmung 33 des Schiebers 30 eingeschwenkt, wobei auch der an einem Anschlagstift 29 anliegende zweite Arm 40'' des sich hierbei in Entrastlage g befindenden Verschlußhebels 40 innerhalb der Aufnahmeplatte 22 liegt; dessen Zwischenarm 40"' überdeckt dabei den Endbereich des Querstegs 28' des exzentrischen Nockens 28. Nunmehr kann die Griffplatte 10 in Pfeilrichtung p (Figur 6) in die Entriegelungslage d verschwenkt werden, wobei über den Anschlag 42 der zweite Arm 50'' des Schwenkhebels 50 von der in Figur 7 mit durchgezogenen Linien dargestellten Schwenklage in die mit strichpunktierten Linien dargestellte Schwenklage - die in Figur 8 mit durchgezogenen Linien dargestellt ist - verlagert und dadurch über den ersten Arm 50' des Schwenkhebels 50 das flexible Seil 14' des Bowdenzugs 14 in Pfeilrichtung q in das Aufnahmegehäuse 18 hineingezogen wird; hierdurch werden die Schwenkrasten 7 über das Verbindungsteil 46 und die Verbindungsstange 9 sowie unter erhöhter Vorspannung der Druckfeder 45 in Pfeilrichtung r verschwenkt. Hierdurch wird der Quersteg 28' des exzentrischen Nockens 28 beaufschlagt und dieser dadurch bei Erzeugung einer Winkeldrehung von mindestens etwa 40 ° und bei Drehung der Scheibe 26 in Pfeilrichtung v in die in Figur 7 dargestellte Schwenklage verlagert. Nach Loslassen des Betätigungshebels 36 nimmt der Verschlußhebel 40 die in Figur 7 dargestellte Verrastlage f ein, in der der erste Arm 40' durch die Wirkung der Schenkelfeder 41 gegen den Schieber 30 gepreßt wird und der zweite Arm 40'' nahe der Stützschulter 51 des Schwenkhebels 50 liegt.   1. A locking device (6) on a pivotably mounted safekeeping container (1), especially a glove box, for a vehicle, comprising a handle plate (10) pivotably mounted on the outside of the safekeeping container (1) and with a closing cylinder (25) and comprising at least one catch (7) by means of which the safekeeping container (1) is locked to a part (4) secured to the vehicle body when the handle plate (10) is in the locked position (c) whereas when the handle plate (10) is in the unlocked position (d) the catch (7) is unlocked, characterised in that the handle plate (10) is lockable by an externally accessible actuating lever (36) and is unlockable via the closing cylinder (25).
  2. A locking device according to claim 1, characterised in that
    - a slide (30) is mounted for sliding on the back of the handle plate (10) and, when the handle plate is locked, the slide is spring-biased against an abutment, especially an eccentric cam (28), whereas the slide is moved against spring action by an eccentric part (28) connected to the closing cylinder (25), thus unlocking the handle plate,
    - a two-armed closure lever (40) is pivotably mounted on the back of the handle plate (10) and is moved by the actuating lever (36), accessible in the region of the outside of the handle plate, into a locked position (f) in which its two opposite arms (40', 40") are spring-biased and act against the slide (30) and against a two-armed rocking lever (50), and
    - a two-armed rocking lever (50) is pivoted to the safekeeping container (1) or to a casing (18) disposed on it, and has a first arm (50') associated with the closure lever (40) for actuating the catch (7) after unlocking the handle plate (10), whereas the handle plate acts on the second arm (50") in order to pivot the rocking lever.
  3. A locking device according to claim 2, characterised in that parts on the back of the handle plate (10), such as the slide (30), the eccentric cam (28) and the two-armed closure lever (40), are pivoted past the two-armed rocking lever (50) when the handle plate is moved into the unlocked position (d).
  4. A locking device according to claim 2, wherein the handle plate, on a casing disposed on the receiving container, is pivotable approximately parallel to the outside of the receiving container, characterised in that
    - the upper edge region of the handle plate (10) is pivoted via a bearing shaft (20) to the approximately rectangular casing (18), and
    - a tubular intermediate part (21) receiving the closing cylinder (25) and extending to the casing (18) projects from the central region of the handle plate (10) and is formed in one piece with a receiving plate (22) which extends approximately parallel to the handle plate and which, when the handle plate is in the locked position (c), extends into a recess (23) in the casing, the recess corresponding approximately in shape to the outer contour of the handle plate.
  5. A locking device according to claim 4, characterised in that the slide (30) in the region of the wide side of the casing (18) on the side of the bearing shaft

A locking device according to claims 2 to 5, wherein the catch is actuated by an eccentric device, characterised by a disc (26) mounted for rotation in the receiving plate (22) of the casing (18) and with an eccentric cam (28) integral with and projecting from it and lying in an angular region of the slide (30), wherein
    - when the handle plate (10) is in the locked state, the slide (30) is pressed by the pressure spring (32) against the abutment (28), which is in the form of an eccentric cam, whereas
    - when the closure cylinder (25), actuated by a key, rotates and enables the safekeeping container (1) to rotate, the disc (26) in operative connection with the closing cylinder is rotated and the eccentric cam (28) is pivoted so that it acts on the slide (30) which is consequently moved against the action of the pressure spring (32) into a set-back position, in which the handle plate (10) is in the unlocked state.
  7. A locking device according to claim 5, characterised in that a bearing bore (38) is provided on the receiving plate (22) and a lug (37) in line with the bore is provided on the tubular intermediate part (21) for a rotatably mounted bearing shaft (39) extending approximately parallel to the intermediate part and on which the end portion of the closure lever (40) projecting beyond the receiving plate is non-rotatably disposed, whereas the actuating lever (36), disposed near the inside of the handle plate (10), is non-rotatably mounted on the other end of the closure lever, wherein the first arm (40') of the closure lever (40) when in the locked position (f) is pressed against the slide (30) by a hairpin spring (41) surrounding the bearing shaft, when the second arm (40") of the closure lever is situated near a supporting shoulder (51) of the first arm (50') of the rocking lever (50).

  9. A locking device according to claim 8, comprising two catches, provided one on each side region of the safekeeping container and held under spring load in the locked position and having an outwardly open catch recess, characterised in that
    - the catch recess (8) is provided on the side of the catches (7),
    - the catches (7) are mounted in the central region of their longitudinal extent so as to be pivotable around a pivot (13) secured to the vehicle,
    - the end portions of the catches (7) opposite the recesses (8) are interconnected by a continuous rod (9), and
    - the catches (7) are actuated by a Bowden wire (14) which extends from the casing (18) via the region where the safekeeping container (1) is pivoted and via a holder (15) secured to the vehicle, wherein the flexible cable (14') of the Bowden wire, surrounded by a prestressed pressure spring (45) on the end on the side of the holder, is connected to the connecting rod (9).
  10.
