Definitions
- the present invention relates to a ski boot synthetic material defined in the preamble to the claim 1.
- Such a shoe is known from patents EP-0 286 586 and US 4,839,973 in the name of the applicant.
- the back notch of the collar is covered by a stirrup-shaped cover hinged on a shell bottom and connected to the collar by a link rigid, so that the stirrup is driven by the collar when tilting the latter.
- the tilting back of the collar is however limited by the possibility of tilting the stirrup, due to the presence of the connecting rod.
- the back of the shoe upper in position open presents a zigzag slope which reduces the entry of the shoe for putting on.
- the presence of a connection of the collar and the stirrup by connecting rod furthermore forces these two parts to be articulated around two different axes, that is to say to have in all the cases four points of articulation.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a shoe combining the advantages of two shoes mentioned above, but without their drawbacks.
- the shoe according to the invention is defined in part Characterizing of claim 1.
- the lower notch of the collar allows its wide tilting backwards, while its notch upper facilitates the engagement of the foot in the shoe when putting on, the space being completely cleared by the tilting back of the posterior part of the stem.
- the collar is driven or not by the party posterior of the rod, depending on the embodiment.
- the rear part of the rod comes largely cover the two notches of the necklace and lean against the bridge-shaped part of this necklace. Since there is no edge closure on board, the collar can have flexibility necessary to close and tighten it around the leg without this tightening having the effect of exerting exaggerated localized pressures on the leg.
- the upper part of the posterior part of the stem forms a second collar which comes to close, by means of a loop or a equivalent device, above the loop closure of the first necklace.
- the part posterior of the rod simply constitutes a cover which, in the closed position, comes to hang on the part necklace-shaped bridge.
- This hood in the form of gutter, can be very rigid and replace the auxiliary reinforcements provided in some shoes. By extending the sides of this cover by ears it is possible to further increase the lateral strengthening effect.
- the shoe shown in Figures 1 to 3 includes a lower part 1 surrounding the foot and the heel and with two flaps 2 and 3 on the top of the foot allowing to tighten this lower part 1 by means of two loops 4 and 5 in known manner and extending well above the instep in a known manner.
- the lower part 1 therefore constitutes a shell with variable volume. At the rear, this shell is also provided with a tongue 6 extending upwards, as described for example in US Patent 4,839,973.
- a collar 7 is articulated by means of two rivets 8 and 9 located approximately at level malleoli of the skier's foot.
- This necklace 7 comes close on the flaps 2 and 3 of the shell with a flap 10 carrying a denture 11 in which comes hook the rectangular ring 12 of a loop 13 whose tensioning lever is hinged on the side outside of the collar 7.
- the collar 7 has a first and wide notch 14 extending above the heel and approximately in the direction joints 8 and 9, and a second notch 15 directed in the opposite direction, i.e. opening towards the upper edge of the collar.
- the notches 14 and 15 leave a bridge 16 located approximately halfway up the collar 7, i.e. of the upper of the shoe.
- the upper of the shoe is completed by a part posterior 17 extending over the entire height of the upper of the shoe and having a general shape gutter fitted in its lower part with two lateral arms 18 and 19 by which this part rear 17 is articulated on the shell 1 in two opposite points by means of two rivets 20 and 21 located below rivets 8 and 9.
- the rear part 17 of the stem has, on the outside of the shoe, a tongue 22 and, at the same height, but on the side inside of the shoe, a tongue 23, significantly longer than the tongue 22.
- Part 17 thus forms, in its part upper, a second collar surrounding the part upper of the first collar 7.
- the rear part 17 of the rod is further fitted with a ratchet 26 whose spout abuts on a stop 27 fixed on the shell 1 to hold the rod shoe slightly lowered tilted forward, as described in particular in US patents 4,839,973 and 5,134,792.
- the pawl 26 can be released at the touch of a finger.
- Figure 3 shows the shoe in position open, all loops off the hook.
- the part posterior 17 is tilted completely back, in abutment against the heel 30 of the shell.
- the collar 7, initially driven back by the tongue 23 of the rear part 17, can also tilt towards the back thanks to its lower notch 14.
- the position of the rear part 17 allows even a tilting of the collar 7 more important than shown in Figure 3, if we consider that bridge 16 of collar 7 can still travel a certain distance before coming into abutment against part 17.
- the upper notch 15 of the collar 7 allows the slipper 28 to easily follow part 17.
- the shoe is therefore wide open and allows easy fitting.
- the collar 7 has, on each side, a recess 31a, respectively 31b, so that the part posterior 17 of the rod comes, in the closed position, to the same level as the collar 17 thus ensuring a quasi-continuity of the surface of the rod.
- the shoe according to the second embodiment, shown in Figures 4 to 7, includes a shell 1 identical to the shell of the first embodiment. Its description will therefore not be repeated.
- the rod is again made up of an articulated collar 32 on the shell 1 in the same way as the collar 7 of the first form of execution.
- This necklace 32 differs however of the collar 7 in that it wears two loops 13 and 33 coming to hang respectively on two dentures 34 and 35 fixed respectively on two flaps 36 and 37 extending the inside of the collar 32.
- this collar 32 is therefore classic design.
- collar 32 has, at the rear, a lower notch 38 similar to notch 14 of the first form of execution and an upper notch 39 similar to notch 15, these two notches leaving remain a bridge 40 (FIG. 7) similar to bridge 16 of the first form of execution.
- the rod of the shoe is completed by a rear part 41 articulated on the hull 1 like part 17 of the first form of execution and that does differ from this last only by the fact that it is not provided with tongue, does not wear a buckle and does not come build a second necklace. It is therefore provided special means to bring the two together parts 32 and 41 of the rod in the closed position.
- These securing means are made up essentially a bar 42 having, on the most of its length, a light 43 (figure 7).
- One end of the strip 42 is articulated on the rear part 41 of the rod around an axis 44.
- the bar 42 is also articulated in the bridge 40 around an axis 45 mounted in a reinforced profiled part 60 of the bridge 40 (FIG. 5).
- the axis 45 passes through the light 43 so that the posterior part has a certain freedom, in open position, relative to the collar.
- the bar is also attached, at an intermediate point, to the end of a cable 46, of the bicycle cable type, that is to say provided with a sheath 47 one end of which is attached to part 41 of the rod and the other of which end rests on loop 33, the end of cable being fixed to the tie rod 48 of this loop 33, so that closing the loop 33 exerts simultaneously pulling on the cable 46.
- a cable 46 of the bicycle cable type
- sheath 47 one end of which is attached to part 41 of the rod and the other of which end rests on loop 33, the end of cable being fixed to the tie rod 48 of this loop 33, so that closing the loop 33 exerts simultaneously pulling on the cable 46.
- the rear part 41 of the rod not forming a collar to have a flexible part coming surround the lower leg, it can be done by a very rigid plastic and thus have an effect of reinforcement of the upper of the shoe, reinforcement improving the transmission of forces between the leg and skiing. This strengthening or stiffening effect can be further improved by providing the part 41 of two lateral ears extending forward from the shoe, on either side of it, to the height or below the loop 33.
- the collar 32 and the rear part of the rod 41 could be united with each other by other means, for example by a side hook such as described in patent application EP N ° 93810548.3 (0 588 757). It would also be possible to come hook the bar 45 directly on the hook 49 placed higher.
- the hook 49 should in this case ability to move with axis 45 when bending the rod forward, bending which causes a relative displacement of the collar 32 and the part posterior 41. In the embodiment shown, it is the light 43 of the bar which allows this displacement.
- points of articulation of the two parts of the stem could be confused.
- there is no relative displacement of the two parts of the rod when bending towards the front so that in the second form of execution, the attachment of the two parts of the rod could be simplified.
- the loop 24 could be replaced by any other means of closure and tightening, for example a strap or a notched tongue cooperating with a ratchet or a strap.
- FIG. 8 represents a variant of FIG. 1 in which the buckle 24 is replaced by a strap 50 surrounding the two parts 7 and 17 of the collar. A end 50a of this strap is fixed on the strap by VELCRO (registered trademark) band or by any other known means of attachment.
