Definitions
- the invention relates to a heat-insulating composite profile for facades, windows, doors and the like, in particular for fire protection structures, consisting of two metal profiles which are connected to one another via at least one connecting element and are kept at a distance from one another.
- Such a composite profile is known from DE 87 05 954 U, which additionally has a heat-resistant anchoring element for fire protection.
- the invention has for its object to form a composite profile of the type mentioned in such a way that, in addition to good thermal insulation, high fire protection is achieved and simple processing of the material used for thermal insulation and as a fire protection agent is possible.
- this object is achieved in that the connecting element is formed by massive intumescent strips.
- the advantage achieved by the invention is essentially that the intumescent strips, e.g. are available under the Promaseal or Pallusol brands, are initially available on the market in ready-to-install widths, and also have elastic properties and thus have a sealing effect.
- this material has equally good properties both in terms of heat insulation and as a fire protection agent. Since the intumescent material also foams when heat is applied, it is particularly suitable for use in composite profiles, since in the event of a fire, any existing cavities, through which smoke gases and flames in particular could spread, are closed.
- the solid intumescent strips are advantageously provided with through-bores for mutually screwing the two metal profiles together with screws made of austenitic stainless steel.
- this object is achieved in that the connecting element is formed by thin-walled profile parts which are provided with intumescent strips at least in the region of their webs extending between the two metal profiles.
- the thin-walled profile parts are made of stainless steel, which offers sufficient strength in thicknesses of less than 1 mm, even less than 0.5 mm, and is also poorly heat-conducting, so that the high stability is particularly advantageous even at high temperatures .
- stainless steel can be formed well, so that suitable profile parts can be easily produced according to the respective application.
- the metal profiles can be provided with an undercut groove for receiving the profile part which has a dovetail-like foot or head part, the webs extending between the foot and the head part being coated on the outside with intumescent material.
- the profile part is formed by two opposite U-profiles with their backs, which are embedded in intumescent material.
- the profile part can have an approximately X-shaped shape in cross section and can also be completely encased by intumescent material.
- the profile part has in cross section an approximately S-shaped shape formed by two adjoining U-profiles, the one U-profile being set up to accommodate the edge of a glass pane and on the inside on the two profile legs and on the outside on Profile back is coated with intumescent material.
- the webs of the profile parts extending between the two metal profiles are provided with round, rectangular or similar recesses. In this way, the heat conduction between the two metal profiles can be reduced further without significantly reducing the strength or stability.
- the heat-insulating composite profile shown in the drawing is intended for facades, windows, doors, especially for use in fire protection constructions. It consists of two metal profiles 1, 2, which are connected to one another via at least one connecting element 3 and are kept at a distance from one another.
- the connecting element 3 serves both for thermal insulation and as a fire protection agent.
- the connecting element 3 is either formed by solid intumescent strips or strips, as shown in FIG. 1 on a facade profile and in FIG. 2 on a window.
- the solid intumescent strips are provided with through holes 4 through which a mutual screw connection 5 of the two metal profiles 1, 2 is possible.
- the intumescent material has good thermal insulation properties and is elastic, so that there is a good seal where water can penetrate the composite profile. When the heat is applied, the intumescent material foams, which in the event of fire closes further cavities present in the composite profile, so that smoke, gases and flames are prevented from spreading through the composite profile.
- the connecting element 3 is formed by thin-walled profile parts 6, which are coated at least in the area of their webs extending between the two metal profiles 1, 2 with intumescent strips, which are designated here by the reference number 7.
- the profile parts advantageously consist of thin-walled stainless steel material, since stainless steel itself is poorly heat-conducting and also has a high stability even at high temperatures.
- Stainless steel can also be used very thin-walled, with material thicknesses of less than 1 mm, u. U. even less than 0.5 mm are possible.
- 3 can have a square or rectangular shape in cross section.
- the metal profiles 1, 2 are provided with an undercut groove 8 for receiving the profile part 6 which has a dovetail-widened foot or head part 9.
- the webs extending between the foot and the head part 9 are coated on the outside with intumescent material.
- the profile part 6 according to FIG. 5 is formed by two U-profiles opposite one another with their backs, which are embedded in pallusol and, if appropriate, are additionally encased by intumescent material.
- a similar fastening option as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4 is provided for the profile part according to FIG. 6, which has an approximately X-shaped shape in cross section and is likewise completely encased by intumescent material.
- the profile part according to FIG. 7 has, in cross section, an approximately S-shaped shape formed by two adjoining U-profiles 11, 12, the one U-profile 11 being designed to accommodate the edge of a glass pane 10 and on the inside of the two Profile legs and outside of the profile back is coated with intumescent material 7.
- the webs of the profile parts 6 extending between the two metal profiles 1, 2 are provided with round, rectangular or similar recesses 13 in order to reduce the heat conduction between the two metal profiles 1, 2 .

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a heat-insulating composite profile for facades, windows, doors and the like, in particular for fire protection structures, consisting of two metal profiles which are connected to one another via at least one connecting element and are kept at a distance from one another.
Such a composite profile is known from DE 87 05 954 U, which additionally has a heat-resistant anchoring element for fire protection.
It is also known from practice to form composite profiles of this type in the manner of a steel structure, the metal profiles being connected to one another by means of stainless steel screws and by intermediate mineral layers, eg. B. from Thermax or Promatekt, are mutually thermally insulated, the mineral interlayer also serves as a fire protection agent. However, these minerals mentioned have relatively poor thermal insulation properties, moreover can only be cut from plates in a complex manner and are otherwise brittle and prone to breakage. In addition, these minerals absorb water, which is annoying insofar as in any case penetrating water can be expected in the glass rebate. In this respect, these mineral layers do not allow a clean seal.
The invention has for its object to form a composite profile of the type mentioned in such a way that, in addition to good thermal insulation, high fire protection is achieved and simple processing of the material used for thermal insulation and as a fire protection agent is possible.
According to a first embodiment of the invention, this object is achieved in that the connecting element is formed by massive intumescent strips.
The advantage achieved by the invention is essentially that the intumescent strips, e.g. are available under the Promaseal or Pallusol brands, are initially available on the market in ready-to-install widths, and also have elastic properties and thus have a sealing effect. In addition, this material has equally good properties both in terms of heat insulation and as a fire protection agent. Since the intumescent material also foams when heat is applied, it is particularly suitable for use in composite profiles, since in the event of a fire, any existing cavities, through which smoke gases and flames in particular could spread, are closed.
The solid intumescent strips are advantageously provided with through-bores for mutually screwing the two metal profiles together with screws made of austenitic stainless steel.
According to a second embodiment of the invention, this object is achieved in that the connecting element is formed by thin-walled profile parts which are provided with intumescent strips at least in the region of their webs extending between the two metal profiles.
In the second embodiment provided, the thin-walled profile parts are made of stainless steel, which offers sufficient strength in thicknesses of less than 1 mm, even less than 0.5 mm, and is also poorly heat-conducting, so that the high stability is particularly advantageous even at high temperatures . In addition, stainless steel can be formed well, so that suitable profile parts can be easily produced according to the respective application.
The metal profiles can be provided with an undercut groove for receiving the profile part which has a dovetail-like foot or head part, the webs extending between the foot and the head part being coated on the outside with intumescent material.
However, there is also the possibility that the profile part is formed by two opposite U-profiles with their backs, which are embedded in intumescent material. Furthermore, the profile part can have an approximately X-shaped shape in cross section and can also be completely encased by intumescent material.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the profile part has in cross section an approximately S-shaped shape formed by two adjoining U-profiles, the one U-profile being set up to accommodate the edge of a glass pane and on the inside on the two profile legs and on the outside on Profile back is coated with intumescent material.
Finally, it is provided in the context of the invention that the webs of the profile parts extending between the two metal profiles are provided with round, rectangular or similar recesses. In this way, the heat conduction between the two metal profiles can be reduced further without significantly reducing the strength or stability.
- Fig. 2 ein Verbundprofil im Bereich eines Fensters,
- Fig. 4 bis 7 weitere Ausführungsformen von Verbindungselementen.
- 1 is a composite profile for use on a facade,
- 2 a composite profile in the area of a window,
- Fig. 3 shows a connecting element made of a profile part with a coating Intumescent material,
- 4 to 7 further embodiments of connecting elements.
The heat-insulating composite profile shown in the drawing is intended for facades, windows, doors, especially for use in fire protection constructions. It consists of two
In detail, the connecting
In a second embodiment, the connecting
Das Profilteil 6 kann gemäß Fig. 3 im Querschnitt quadratische oder rechteckige Gestalt besitzen.3 can have a square or rectangular shape in cross section.
However, there is also the possibility shown in FIG. 4 that the
A similar fastening option as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4 is provided for the profile part according to FIG. 6, which has an approximately X-shaped shape in cross section and is likewise completely encased by intumescent material.
Finally, the profile part according to FIG. 7 has, in cross section, an approximately S-shaped shape formed by two
