Shaped body for receiving and packaging objects that is produced from a blank of cellulose material, such as, for example, pasteboard, paper, parchment or the like, by folding the same, and has the form of an open-top tray, or the like, there being produced in the excess material of the shaped body, which is located in the corner regions, gusset folds which effect a reduction in the excess material and which are folded over against the outer or inner sides of the upright side walls and attached thereto, the shaped body (1) being in the form of a tray, or the like, that has several compartments (2, 3, 4), is formed from a single blank (27) and whose dividing walls (5, 6) located between the compartments (2, 3, 4) are formed by double folds (34/35) of the blank (27), in the corner regions (36) of which, located between those dividing walls (5, 6) and the side walls (10 to 17) adjacent thereto, gusset folds (39) which reduce the excess material of the shaped body are produced, which gusset folds (39) can be folded over against the outer and inner sides of the upright side walls (10 to 17) and are to be attached thereto, the gusset folds (39) each being in the form of a double or twin fold and one of the two gusset panels of the gusset fold (39) being recessed relative to the other gusset panel, characterised in that the fold line (37) of the gusset fold (39) lies in the diagonal of a rectangle which forms the gusset fold (39), and a rectangular trapezium, extending beyond the fold line (37), is recessed in the corner region (36) of the rectangle in such a manner that, when the gusset fold (39) is folded over about its fold line (37), the inner side of the other gusset panel can be adhesively bonded to the outer side of the respective side wall (10 to 17).
  2. Shaped body according to claim 1, characterised in that the two gusset folds (39) of the double or twin fold are formed identically.
  3. Shaped body according to either claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the tapering ends of the gusset folds (39) each terminate in a blunt end edge (41).
  4. Shaped body according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the dividing walls (43, 44) extend at an angle to the side walls (45 to 48).
  5. Shaped body according to claim 4, characterised in that at least two dividing walls (43, 44) extending at an angle to one another are provided and form triangular or trapezoid tray portions (49, 50, 51).
  6. Shaped body according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least the side walls (46, 48) that extend longitudinally are formed without a rim, a film, which is provided for sealing the shaped body (52), being attached to the side walls (46, 48).
