Description

The invention relates to a sectional door with a plurality of door panels extending longitudinally and articulated along the door width or height, each consisting of a metal shell with load-bearing edge profiles and an insulating filling, seals and fire protection laminates being inserted in the joint areas between adjacent door panels.

Sectional doors are known in many exemplary embodiments as garage doors, hall doors or the like, and according to AT-B 394 881 it has also been proposed to design such a sectional door as a fire-retardant door or as a fire protection door. For this purpose, the individual gate fields are reinforced with an inner frame which is connected to an outer frame enclosing the shell. The sheet, which is fireproof, contains a corresponding insulating filling, which provides a required service life in the event of heat in the event of a fire, and seals and fire protection laminates provided in the joint area make the joints between the door fields smoke and gas tight, which seals and laminates in suitable recordings of the outer frame profiles are used. These gate fields therefore require a considerable amount of production, above all because of the special edge design, and a relatively heavy construction must be accepted, which gives rise to fears of difficulties in guiding and driving the sectional doors.

The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating these deficiencies and creating a sectional door of the type described at the outset which fully meets the requirements of a fire-retardant gate or a fire-protection gate and which is distinguished by its comparatively simple and inexpensive construction.

The invention solves this problem in that in the length range of the gate fields on the edge profiles own connection profiles can be placed, which in pairs form the connection profiles forming joints on the one hand a convex, on the other hand a concave outer contour and of which connection profiles at least the one receptacles for seals and have fire protection laminates. Since the joint-forming longitudinal profiles of the gate fields are no longer an integral part of these gate fields, but rather consist of their own connection profiles, the gate fields can be produced in a rational manner from a simple basic element, onto which only the connection profiles with the required seals and laminates for impact formation are then placed will need. The convex or concave outer contour of the connection profiles results in an essentially constant, well-sealed butt joint, which does not gap even when the door fields pivot when opening or closing and therefore does not pose any risk of injury.

As such, the connection profiles can be connected to the edge profiles of the gate fields in any suitable way, but it is particularly expedient if the edge profiles have an outwardly open U-shaped cross section and the connection profiles can be clipped into the edge profiles. This means that the connection profiles can be installed in just a few simple steps and there is an aligned one on the outside of the door panels Transition from the shell to the connection profile possible.

Corresponds to the outer contour of the connecting profiles in cross-section approximately a quarter circle, the radius of which is adapted to the thickness of the peat field and which merges tangentially into the outer shell surface, a relatively strongly curved butt joint is achieved in the joint area with a comparatively low profile height, which allows a perfect seal and hardly from the outside runs noticeably between the peat fields.

In the drawing, a sectional door according to the invention is illustrated in more detail, for example, using a schematic vertical section through the joint area of two adjacent gate fields.

A sectional door 1 comprises a plurality of door panels 2 that are hinged together in height along the door width and are hinged together with the aid of hinges (not shown), each of which consists of a metal shell 3 and an insulating panel 4, the shell 3 having load-bearing edge profiles at least in the length region of the gate panels 2 5 is equipped. These edge profiles 5 have an outwardly open U-shaped cross section, so that 5 own connection profiles 6, 7 can be clipped into the edge profiles. The connecting profiles 6, 7 form the joints 8 in pairs between the gate fields 2, the one connecting profiles 6 having a convex outer contour 9 and the other 7 having a concave outer contour 10. In addition, the connection profiles 6 in the area of the outer contour 9 are equipped with receptacles 11, 12 for the use of seals 13 and fire protection laminates 14.

The gate fields 2 with their connecting profiles 6, 7 which can be clipped into the edge profiles 5 enable the rational production of a sectional door which fully satisfies the requirements for a fire-retardant gate or a fire protection gate.
