Definitions
- the invention relates to an irradiation lamp with a tube-shaped emitter having electrical contact elements, at least one end of the emitter being closed by squeezing and being at least partially surrounded by a plastic base sleeve in the area of the squeezing.
- Such an irradiation lamp is known from DE-AS 26 34 980.
- a radiator can be attached to brackets is described, the ends of which are closed by angular crushing, each of which encloses a power supply.
- the angular bruises are held in base sleeves, the base sleeves are made of plastic and are applied to the pinched ends of the radiator after heating.
- a firm connection is made between the base sleeve and the radiator.
- the connection ends of the power supply protrude from the end faces of the squeezed end sections of the radiator and are guided out of the base sleeve along the pinch in a recess in the base sleeve.
- the object of the present invention is to provide an irradiation lamp with a tubular radiator, the base of which can be installed very quickly and reliably and in which a safe and reliable connection between the radiator and the base is ensured in the entire area of use of the radiation lamp.
- this object is achieved for an irradiation lamp described at the outset in that the base sleeve and the radiator have latching elements which are in engagement with one another.
- This type of attachment of the base sleeve to the radiator enables very simple and inexpensive installation.
- the base sleeve is simply pushed onto the spotlight and is fastened there by the locking elements.
- no time-consuming hardening phase for adhesives or cements is necessary, and there is also no energy and time-consuming heating and cooling.
- the holder by means of locking elements also has the advantage that no thermal stresses occur between the base sleeve and the radiator, even with extreme temperature fluctuations, which can destroy the connection of the two parts.
- the latching elements are expediently designed as recesses and elevations engaging in the recesses, the recesses preferably being arranged on the base sleeve and the elevations on the pinch of the radiator.
- Such locking elements can be easily manufactured since the production of the elevations can be integrated in the squeezing process.
- the recesses in the base sleeve can be designed as bores in the wall of the base sleeve. It is possible to provide locking elements only on one side of the pinch or on both sides. A latching on both sides is advantageous at least in cases in which the base sleeve does not fit snugly on the pinch of the radiator sits on. Such a non-precise arrangement is useful to compensate for a different expansion of the two parts during the heating caused by the operation of the radiation lamp.
- the latching elements are inextricably engaged with one another in order to avoid inadvertent removal of the base sleeve from the radiator.
- the pinch has at least one web running in the axial direction of the radiator, on which the base sleeve is guided with a groove arranged on its inside facing the pinch. In this way, on the one hand, the base sleeve can be pushed onto the pinch more easily until the latching elements engage, and on the other hand, such guidance of the base sleeve prevents lateral twisting on the pinch of the radiator.
- the base sleeve between two webs running on the pinch in the axial direction of the radiator. Furthermore, it is possible to guide the pinch between webs arranged on the base sleeve or to arrange a web on the inside of the base sleeve which is guided in a groove in the pinch.
- the radiator is designed as a twin tube and the pinch with the base sleeve is arranged on exactly one side of the radiator.
- electrical contacts of the radiator can be guided in the axial direction through the pinch, the base sleeve having openings on its end face for carrying out the electrical contacts. This enables particularly simple installation, since the base and contact can be made on only one side.
- the base sleeve has holding elements for holding the radiation lamp.
- These holding elements can be designed as bores.
- the holding elements are used to attach the radiation lamp, for example, within a housing.
- FIG. 2 A side view of such an irradiation lamp is shown in FIG. 2. Here it is shown how the locking elements 6 of the radiator 1 and the base sleeve 3 interlock. For reasons of clarity, the individual parts of the base sleeve 3 have been shown spaced apart from the pinch 2.
- FIG. 3 shows a schematic representation of the base sleeve 3, seen from the engagement side of the pinch 2.
- the groove 5 is shown, with the help of which the pinch 2 is guided during the assembly of the two parts.
- the two openings 7 can be seen through which the electrical contacts of the radiator 1 are guided.
- each socket sleeve 3 of course only requires an opening 7 for the electrical contacts.
- the base sleeve 3 can be made of a temperature-resistant plastic. Lettering with a type designation for the radiation lamp can also be applied to such a material.
- a base sleeve 3 made of plastic is at least slightly elastic at least in the area which includes or partially encompasses the pinch 2 of the radiator 1, so that the base sleeve 3 can simply be pushed onto the pinch 2. Removing the base sleeve 3 from the pinch 2 is no longer possible or only with great effort without destroying the base sleeve 3 if the latching elements 6 of the pinch 2 and the base sleeve 3 are in engagement with one another. In this way a very quick installation of a fixed connection is possible. Different coefficients of expansion of the radiator 1 and the base sleeve 3 do not lead to thermal stresses between these two components, since these parts do not have to be adapted to one another in a form-fitting manner.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an irradiation lamp with a tube-shaped emitter having electrical contact elements, at least one end of the emitter being closed by squeezing and being at least partially surrounded by a plastic base sleeve in the area of the squeezing.
Such an irradiation lamp is known from DE-AS 26 34 980. Here, a radiator can be attached to brackets is described, the ends of which are closed by angular crushing, each of which encloses a power supply. The angular bruises are held in base sleeves, the base sleeves are made of plastic and are applied to the pinched ends of the radiator after heating. A firm connection is made between the base sleeve and the radiator. The connection ends of the power supply protrude from the end faces of the squeezed end sections of the radiator and are guided out of the base sleeve along the pinch in a recess in the base sleeve. There is a risk of overheating of the electrical connections, in particular of the necessary insulations, since these are brought very close to the radiator region which has a high temperature during normal operation when they are led out of the base sleeve. The heating required to attach the base sleeve to the radiator, on the one hand, the squeezed end of the radiator and, on the other hand, the base sleeve is both time-consuming and energy-intensive and therefore relatively expensive, since in addition to the heating time, time is also required for the parts to cool down again in order to achieve a fixed temperature Ensure that the base sleeve is seated on the pinched spotlight end.
From DE-AS 10 42 785 it is known to wrap squeezed radiator ends of an infrared radiator with sheet metal strips suitable for fastening. The electrical connections passed through the crimped ends of the radiator are soldered to these metal strips. Due to the different thermal behavior of the sheet metal strips serving as fastening and contact elements and the heater glass, there is the possibility that the metal strips will become detached from the crimped ends when the heater is heated or due to the constant temperature change during operation of the heater and no longer guarantee secure mounting .
The object of the present invention is to provide an irradiation lamp with a tubular radiator, the base of which can be installed very quickly and reliably and in which a safe and reliable connection between the radiator and the base is ensured in the entire area of use of the radiation lamp.
According to the invention, this object is achieved for an irradiation lamp described at the outset in that the base sleeve and the radiator have latching elements which are in engagement with one another. This type of attachment of the base sleeve to the radiator enables very simple and inexpensive installation. The base sleeve is simply pushed onto the spotlight and is fastened there by the locking elements. With such an attachment, no time-consuming hardening phase for adhesives or cements is necessary, and there is also no energy and time-consuming heating and cooling. The holder by means of locking elements also has the advantage that no thermal stresses occur between the base sleeve and the radiator, even with extreme temperature fluctuations, which can destroy the connection of the two parts.
The latching elements are expediently designed as recesses and elevations engaging in the recesses, the recesses preferably being arranged on the base sleeve and the elevations on the pinch of the radiator. Such locking elements can be easily manufactured since the production of the elevations can be integrated in the squeezing process. The recesses in the base sleeve can be designed as bores in the wall of the base sleeve.
It is advantageous that the latching elements are inextricably engaged with one another in order to avoid inadvertent removal of the base sleeve from the radiator. For this purpose, it is useful that the pinch has at least one web running in the axial direction of the radiator, on which the base sleeve is guided with a groove arranged on its inside facing the pinch. In this way, on the one hand, the base sleeve can be pushed onto the pinch more easily until the latching elements engage, and on the other hand, such guidance of the base sleeve prevents lateral twisting on the pinch of the radiator.
It is also possible to arrange the base sleeve between two webs running on the pinch in the axial direction of the radiator. Furthermore, it is possible to guide the pinch between webs arranged on the base sleeve or to arrange a web on the inside of the base sleeve which is guided in a groove in the pinch.
It is also advantageous that the radiator is designed as a twin tube and the pinch with the base sleeve is arranged on exactly one side of the radiator. In this case, electrical contacts of the radiator can be guided in the axial direction through the pinch, the base sleeve having openings on its end face for carrying out the electrical contacts. This enables particularly simple installation, since the base and contact can be made on only one side.
It is also advantageous that the base sleeve has holding elements for holding the radiation lamp. These holding elements can be designed as bores. The holding elements are used to attach the radiation lamp, for example, within a housing.
An exemplary embodiment of the radiation lamp according to the invention is explained below with reference to a drawing.

Figure 3 shows a schematic representation of the
The
