Description

The subject invention relates to an overflow fitting for a safety valve consisting of a cup-like vessel formed with a drain pipe, which is provided with a funnel-like insert and with an odor trap in the form of a pipe surrounding the funnel-like insert and closed at its lower end, the upper one Edge of the funnel-like insert is attached to the upper edge of the cup-like vessel.

Such overflow fittings, which are arranged below safety valves for hot water storage, are used in the event that the safety valve triggers to absorb the water flowing out of it.

In known overflow fittings of this type, the funnel-like insert is rotationally symmetrical and is firmly connected to the cup-like overflow vessel. When assembling such a valve, however, there is the problem that the connecting pipe provided in the wall for the assembly of the overflow valve is not always exactly perpendicular below the safety valve, but is laterally offset with respect to it. The consequence of this is that the funnel connection of the overflow fitting is not exactly below the outlet pipe of the safety valve. Taking into account the fact that when the safety valve is triggered, a high-pressure water jet emerges from it, this has the consequence that splash water is caused. In order to avoid this, it is known to twist the overflow fitting slightly, as a result of which the inlet funnel is located centrally below the outlet pipe of the safety valve. However, since the funnel connection adjoining the inlet funnel is then not aligned vertically, splash water is also caused as soon as the safety valve triggers.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide an overflow fitting for safety valves, through which even if the associated connecting pipes for the safety valve and for the overflow fitting are not exactly aligned with one another, the overflow can be adjusted in a simple manner Fitting can be made in such a way that the funnel neck of the overflow vessel is located vertically below the outlet pipe of the safety valve.

Die Exzentrizität der Mittelachse des Trichterstutzens beträgt vorzugsweise 5 mm bis 15 mm, insbesondere 10 mm.This is achieved according to the invention in that the axis of the funnel neck is arranged eccentrically with respect to the upper edge of the insert and in that the funnel-like insert is rotatable relative to the cup-like vessel. Preferably, the funnel-like insert is formed at its upper edge with a downwardly projecting cylindrical projection, which comes to rest on the inner wall of the cup-like vessel, and with an annular stop surface, which comes to rest on the upper edge of the cup-like vessel. The eccentricity of the central axis of the funnel nozzle is preferably 5 mm to 15 mm, in particular 10 mm.

An overflow fitting according to the invention consists of a cup-like vessel 1, which is formed with a drain pipe 11. By means of this drain pipe 11, this is cup-like Vessel 1 can be connected to a drain pipe located in a wall.

The cup-like vessel 1 is also formed with a funnel-like insert 2, which is surrounded by a tube piece 3, which serves as an odor trap and is closed on its underside. The funnel-like insert 2 is formed at its upper edge with a cylindrical projection 21 which bears against the inner wall of the cup-like vessel 1. The insert 21 is also formed with an annular stop surface 22 which lies opposite the upper end surface 12 of the cup-like vessel 1. Furthermore, the funnel nozzle 23 is arranged eccentrically with respect to the cylindrical extension 22. Since the funnel-shaped insert 2 is not rigidly connected to the cup-like vessel 1, it can be rotated relative to the latter. The pipe section 3 is fastened to the funnel connection 23 by means of webs 31.

If a pressure relief valve assigned to a hot water tank opens, causing water to flow out of its outlet pipe 4, a water jet 5 passes through the funnel-like insert 2 into the cup-like vessel 1 and flows down through the funnel nozzle 23 or between the funnel nozzle 23 and the pipe piece 3, as indicated by arrows in FIG. 2, upwards into the cup-like vessel 1 and finally through the pipe section 11. This causes an odor trap.

Due to the high pressure with which the water jet 5 enters the funnel-like insert 2, the funnel nozzle 23 must be located exactly below the outlet pipe 4 to avoid splashing water. In order to enable this precise alignment of the funnel nozzle 23 with respect to the outlet pipe 4, the funnel nozzle 23 is arranged eccentrically on the funnel-like insert 2. As a result, by twisting the insert 2, the funnel connection piece 23 can extend transversely to the pipe section 11 the double eccentricity can be adjusted, whereby inaccuracies in the lateral arrangement of the outlet pipe 4 compared to the wall-side connection for the drain pipe can be compensated. The distance to the drain pipe can be chosen by the length of the pipe section 11.

In one embodiment, the eccentricity of the funnel nozzle 23 was chosen to be 10 mm, as a result of which lateral deviations in the connection to the drain pipe compared to the safety valve can be compensated for by up to 20 mm, without any disadvantages being caused thereby.
