Abstract
Description
The subject invention relates to an overflow fitting for a safety valve consisting of a cup-like vessel formed with a drain pipe, which is provided with a funnel-like insert and with an odor trap in the form of a pipe surrounding the funnel-like insert and closed at its lower end, the upper one Edge of the funnel-like insert is attached to the upper edge of the cup-like vessel.
Such overflow fittings, which are arranged below safety valves for hot water storage, are used in the event that the safety valve triggers to absorb the water flowing out of it.
In known overflow fittings of this type, the funnel-like insert is rotationally symmetrical and is firmly connected to the cup-like overflow vessel. When assembling such a valve, however, there is the problem that the connecting pipe provided in the wall for the assembly of the overflow valve is not always exactly perpendicular below the safety valve, but is laterally offset with respect to it. The consequence of this is that the funnel connection of the overflow fitting is not exactly below the outlet pipe of the safety valve. Taking into account the fact that when the safety valve is triggered, a high-pressure water jet emerges from it, this has the consequence that splash water is caused. In order to avoid this, it is known to twist the overflow fitting slightly, as a result of which the inlet funnel is located centrally below the outlet pipe of the safety valve. However, since the funnel connection adjoining the inlet funnel is then not aligned vertically, splash water is also caused as soon as the safety valve triggers.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide an overflow fitting for safety valves, through which even if the associated connecting pipes for the safety valve and for the overflow fitting are not exactly aligned with one another, the overflow can be adjusted in a simple manner Fitting can be made such that the funnel connection of the overflow vessel is located vertically below the outlet pipe of the safety valve.
Die Exzentrizität der Mittelachse des Trichterstutzens beträgt vorzugsweise 5 mm bis 15 mm, insbesondere 10 mm.This is achieved according to the invention in that the axis of the funnel neck is arranged eccentrically with respect to the upper edge of the insert and in that the funnel-like insert is rotatable with respect to the cup-like vessel. Preferably, the funnel-like insert is formed at its upper edge with a downwardly projecting cylindrical projection, which comes into contact with the inner wall of the cup-like vessel, and with an annular stop surface, which comes into contact with the upper edge of the cup-like vessel. The eccentricity of the central axis of the funnel nozzle is preferably 5 mm to 15 mm, in particular 10 mm.

An overflow fitting according to the invention consists of a cup-
The cup-
If a pressure relief valve assigned to a hot water tank opens, causing water to flow out of its
Due to the high pressure with which the
In one embodiment, the eccentricity of the
