Abstract
Description
Cold rooms on board ships regularly have a floor plan adapted to the shape of the ship, that is to say that at least one side wall of the cold room runs at an angle to the longitudinal center of the ship and is also inclined from the bottom inside outwards and is often curved. The safe stowage of rectangular pallet stacks in such a cold room is thereby made more difficult. Detachable side supports made of profile frames, so-called side shoring, are known, with which the respective outer pallet stack can be supported in a cooling space and which can be erected into a vertical position when in use or folded away against the side wall when not in use. Such known side supports are aligned parallel to the side wall, so that they only support the pallet stack in the vertical direction in a linear manner and thus often make additional support measures necessary if damage occurs the pallet stack should be avoided safely by the movement of the ship in rough seas.
It is an object of the invention to design such a side support for pallet stacks in such a way that it touches the pallet stack with the largest possible support surface, is easy to handle and can be safely stowed away as a loose part in a space-saving manner on the side wall or the cold room wall when not in use.
The invention solves this problem by training features according to claim 1.
The support surface of each side support, which is oriented parallel to the central longitudinal plane of the ship, is of essential importance, as it offers the greatest possible hold to the outer stack of pallets. On the other hand, the side support can be removed in a few simple steps and can be stowed on the cold room side wall if it is not required for storing cargo in the cold room. Preference is given to the possibility of suspending the side support on the cold room side wall in combination with the non-positive plug connection of the side support on the cold room floor, so that the panel wall forming the side support can be erected into an operating position with a few hand movements on the one hand and can be moved to a space-saving stowed position on the other hand, in which it is kept safe.
An embodiment is preferred according to
An embodiment of the invention is shown schematically and in perspective on the drawing.
The side support for pallet stacks in cold rooms on board ships consists of a wall panel 1 made of sheet metal with a
Since the panel walls are made of stainless steel sheet and are therefore relatively valuable, an anti-theft device is recommended. For the purpose of such securing, it is proposed to provide the panel walls with at least two
