Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a double pump, which consists of a radial piston pump combined into a pump unit and a vane pump. A common shaft drives the radial piston pump arranged on the input side and the vane pump located on the shaft end. The housing of the radial piston pump encompasses an annular insert containing the delivery pistons. A pump package consisting of rotor, vanes and cam ring seals against end plates on both sides of the pump package. Such double pumps are often used in motor vehicles which are driven by the vehicle engine via a V-belt. The radial piston pump preferably supplies a level control and the vane pump an auxiliary power steering.
A double pump of this type is already known from DE-OS 41 03 986. This version has a housing for accommodating the radial piston pump, which at the same time forms an end plate for the pump package of the vane pump. An opening in the housing receives the ring insert for the delivery piston. A housing cover closes this opening. For sealing the housing containing both pump systems, there are at least two separation points, namely the separation point on the housing cover and the separation point between the end plate of the pot-shaped housing and the pump package of the vane pump. Sealing rings are inserted in these two separation points.
The invention has for its object to simplify this double pump structurally so that there is a compact and weight-saving design. In addition, a housing separation point should be avoided.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Ansprüchen 2 bis 6.This object is solved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous further developments result from
According to the main feature of the invention, the ring insert containing the delivery pistons and the end plate for the vane pump facing the radial piston pump form a common component. As a result of this measure, the ring insert together with the end plate can be inserted into the housing of the radial piston pump from one side and there is only one separating point to be sealed between the two pumps. In addition, the end plate molded onto the ring insert is no longer part of the housing, as in the prior art, so that it can be made thinner. This reduces the axial length of the double pump.
According to
According to
According to claim 4, it is further advantageous that only one pin is required to prevent rotation of the ring insert, the cam ring and the other end plate lying on the opposite side of the radial piston pump.
According to
The invention is explained in more detail in the embodiment shown in the drawing using a longitudinal section guided by a double pump. Since the basic design of the two pumps is generally known, the components that are essential for the invention are mainly dealt with below.
Am Außenumfang sitzen im Ringeinsatz 8 zwei gegen Hochdruck abdichtende Dichtringe 19 und 19A.A radial piston pump 1 and a
According to the invention, an end plate forming the
To assemble the double pump, the
