Description

The invention relates to a broom arrangement for a mobile wiper. The invention further relates to a mopping device with such a broom arrangement.

It is known to provide a sweeping broom for mobile wiping devices, such as those used for wiping floors and streets, which can be brought into different working positions. The invention has for its object to provide such a broom arrangement, which can be constructed as simply and inexpensively. Furthermore, the arrangement of the brooms should be able to be brought into different working positions as continuously as possible.

The object is achieved in a broom arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset in that the position of the broom is adjustable both transversely to the direction of travel and in the direction of travel by means of only one drive.

By providing only one drive, the broom arrangement is simple and inexpensive to manufacture. The fact that the one drive can set the broom both in the direction of travel and transversely to it results in great flexibility of use, which will be explained in more detail below.

In a preferred embodiment, the broom is held resiliently in order to go into an evasive position independently of the drive when it encounters an obstacle. In this way, there is a simple protection against damage when the broom hits an obstacle without the need for sensors and drives.

Dabei zeigt:

Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the figures. It shows:
  • Figure 1 schematically seen a broom arrangement on a wiper from the side;
  • Figure 2 seen the broom arrangement according to Figure 1 from above;
  • Figure 3 shows the broom arrangement in different adjustment positions;
  • Figure 4 shows a broom arrangement in different positions and when working in a corner;

  • Figure 6 is a schematic representation of another embodiment of the broom arrangement.

Figures 1 and 2 show a broom arrangement 10 with a circular broom 1, which is attached to a wiper 11, not shown. The wiping device 11 can be, for example, a municipal vehicle or also a self-propelled electric vehicle that can be controlled by an accompanying operator; all possible known embodiments for the mobile wiper device 11 are conceivable here. The broom arrangement 10 is fastened to this wiper device 11 by means of a holding plate 5, the type of fastening not being shown in detail in the figures. The attachment can be done for example by screws or by clamping or in another known way. In the example shown, the plate brush 1 is fastened to the holding plate 5 by means of an arm 2 and a bracket 8. During operation of the wiper device, the circular broom 1 is driven in rotation, which can be done, for example, by a drive motor 9 (not shown in detail). The drive motor 9 can be, for example, an electric motor or a hydraulic motor which is fed by a corresponding electrical or hydraulic source in the wiper device. The drive 9, however, is not the subject of the present invention and is therefore not shown further, since such drives for rotating the disk broom 1 are known. By turning the broom 1 about its axis, this becomes wiping goods are generally conveyed to a receiving device on the wiper device, for example to a suction opening of a vacuum cleaner. As is known, this is also not shown here.

The present invention relates to the adjustment of the working position of the broom. So that this working position can be adjusted, in the example shown, a boom 8 pivotally mounted on the holding plate 5 is provided, which on its end opposite the pivot axis bears an in turn pivotable arm 2, on the end of the disc brush 1 with its drive 9 opposite the pivot axis is attached. For pivoting the boom 8 from the position shown in FIG. 2 on the right edge of the wiper device 11, as seen in the direction of travel, via a central position into a corresponding position on the left edge of the wiper device, a hydraulic drive 7 is provided which, on the one hand, is fixedly attached to the holding plate 5 is and on the other hand engages with its actuating part on the boom 8 outside the pivot axis. The hydraulic drive 7 can consist of its known hydraulic piston / cylinder arrangement, for example the cylinder is attached to the holding plate 5 and the piston acts on the boom 8 via a rod in order to pivot it depending on the piston position. Instead of a hydraulic drive, a compressed air drive or an electric drive 7 can of course also be provided. By means of the same drive 7, not only is the arm 8 moved, but also by means of the pivoting movement of the arm 8, the arm 2. For this purpose, in the example shown in FIG. 2, a chain wheel 3a is shown, which lies in the axis of rotation of the arm 2 and is connected to it, so that rotation of the chain wheel causes a corresponding pivoting of the arm 2. This can be carried out in such a way that a shaft is mounted on the end of the boom 8, to which the arm 2 is fastened below the boom and above the boom the sprocket 3a. The sprocket 3a is wrapped in a chain 4, which is fastened to the holding plate 5 with its two ends. The chain ends are each fastened to the holding plate 5 via a tension spring 6 or 6a. Through this arrangement shown as an example, a pivoting movement of the arm 2 is now derived from the pivoting movement of the arm 8, which is caused by the drive 7. When the boom 8 is pivoted, the chain wheel 3a runs on the chain 4 and rotates as a result. This rotation of the sprocket 3a causes a rotation of the shaft of the sprocket and thus a corresponding pivoting of the arm 2 fastened to the shaft. In FIGS. 3 and 4, the resulting effect is due to different positions of the plate broom 1 or the boom and the arm shown. By appropriate choice of the translation between the pivoting movement of the boom and the rotation of the sprocket, it can be selected which of a rotation of the arm 2 corresponds to a specific pivoting of the boom 8. In the example shown, the translation is chosen so that in the middle position of the arm 8 there is a parallel position of the arm 2, as can be seen, for example, in FIG. If the boom 8 is pivoted further to the left out of the central position, the arm 2 is pivoted out again into the left working position shown in FIG. 4 (viewed from the wiping device) with the boom 8 pivoted fully to the left. The translation preferably takes place in this way that the center of the plate broom 1 moves on a straight line 18 when the boom 8 is pivoted, as can be seen in FIG. 3. However, the swiveling movement can also take place in such a way that the center of the plate broom moves on a non-straight path. The choice of the translation and the path is made by choosing the sizes A, B, C and the diameter of the sprocket 3a (Fig. 2).

The spring arrangement of the broom ensures that it can automatically avoid an obstacle. In the exemplary embodiment explained so far, this is achieved by the springs 6 and 6a. In FIG. 5 it can be seen how the plate broom 1 has avoided an obstacle 13 when it hits it. Evasion is made possible in that the arm 2 can be pivoted independently of the pivoting movement of the arm 8 by a force acting on the broom. With this pivoting of the arm 2, the chain wheel 3a is rotated accordingly. The chain 4 allows this rotation due to the springs 6 and 6a. In Figure 5 it can be seen how the chain movement forced by the evasive movement of the broom 1 leads to the expansion of the spring 6 or to the relief and contraction of the spring 6a. As soon as no more external force acts on the plate broom, the force balance between the stretched and the contracted spring leads back to pivoting the arm 2 into its normal working position determined by the pivoting angle of the boom 8.

In the example shown, the plate broom is guided so that there is no shift in the working direction when the broom is moved transversely. The displacement is also effected by a single drive element, which enables considerable cost savings and simplification of the arrangement. The work of the sweeping broom is guaranteed in every position and the position changes are infinitely variable. In particular, wiping in corners is also possible in this way, as can be seen in FIG. 4. In the example shown, collision protection against obstacles is achieved purely mechanically by the suspension of the broom. There are therefore no sources of error due to the provision of sensors and electronics, which in turn serves to save costs and ensure operational reliability.

Figure 6 shows another embodiment in a highly schematic form. In this example, too, the broom is moved transversely to the direction of travel and in the direction of travel by a single drive element 7 ', which in turn acts on the boom 8'. In this case, the broom 1 ', which is also designed here as a plate broom, is arranged displaceably in the arm 8' provided with a slot guide. The broom 1 is displaced along the boom 8 'by means of a rod 14 which is fastened on the one hand to the sliding guide of the broom 1' and on the other hand moves with its opposite end along a control cam 15 when the boom is pivoted. The control curve 15 causes the plate broom 1 'to be moved along the arm 8' against the force of a spring 16. In this way too, the drive broom is positioned in the transverse direction as well as in the direction of travel of the wiper by the one drive 7 '. This results in the advantages already mentioned.

Instead of the plate broom shown in the examples, a differently shaped, driven or non-driven broom can of course also be provided.
