Definitions
- the invention relates to a back support for lift devices usable in bathtubs, with a plate that can be pivoted on a lifting plate of the lift device as a backrest, and an adjusting device that effects an inclination adjustment of the plate, which is arranged on the back of the plate, can be filled with pressurized water, and is closed at the end from flexible, im essential non-stretch material, which is connected to a multi-way hand control valve.
- Such a back support is known from WO-A-82 03 002.
- the tube piece is arranged directly on the back of the plate and is completely free.
- the piece of hose should be supported on the bathtub during operation. But if the backrest is loaded by the upper body of a person, it can happen that when the hose piece is pressurized, the plate is not pivoted in the direction of the steep position, but the entire lift device is moved in the tub. Furthermore, a gusset-shaped gap is formed between the inclined plate and the bathtub, so that the plate is at a distance from the bathtub in the region of the tube piece.
- the diameter of the piece of hose must now be very large, because when filling the hose this distance is first overcome before any inclination adjustment can take place.
- the very large diameter of the hose section makes the known lift device more expensive, continues to be a hindrance in handling and delays the response time considerably, since several liters of water have to flow into the hose section before the plate swivels effectively.
- FR-A-21 36 526 shows a lounger with a base frame on which two pieces of hose which can be actuated by pressure medium are arranged in order to pivot frame parts of the lounger. These frame parts each have a tubular support bracket that presses on the tube piece. Since the hose section is located directly under the swivel bearing of the adjustable parts of the bed, there are unfavorable power transmission conditions and since the contact surface of the support bracket that comes into contact with the hose section is very small, because the diameter of the bracket has only a fraction of the diameter of the hose section, only a very limited lifting force can be achieved. In the steep position of the plate, the support bracket not only flattens the tube piece in the contact zone, but also deforms the tube wall in a concave manner, as a result of which the tube is subjected to high local loads.
- the object of the invention is to provide a back support of the type mentioned in such a way that there is no need to support the piece of tubing on the bath tub and the piece of tubing is positioned so that it is displaceable in such a way that with a minimal size of the piece of tubing a sufficient inclination adjustment of the plate with a high plate pivoting moment is achieved.
- the plate is mounted on a foot that can be placed on the lifting plate of the lifting device, that between the plate and the foot a, at least for the most part, closed chamber is formed, in which the piece of tubing at a distance from the Plate is securely positioned and is supported on the base on the foot, and that the plate has a support wall on the back, which extends parallel to the plate pivot axis at a distance from it at least over the largest part of the length of the tube piece, the bottom wall at least in the central region, the diameter of the Has adapted pressure-filled hose section concave curvature with a wide contact surface on the hose section.
- Another advantage of the invention is that the foot only has to protrude slightly beyond the plate forming the backrest, with the result that in the steep position of the plate, in which it forms an angle of approximately 15 ° with the vertical, the solder from the upper edge of the plate touches the rear foot end.
- the tangential plane of the support surface of the support wall intersects at least approximately the axis of the pivot bearing of the plate, whereby the support wall is directed essentially radially with respect to the pivot bearing axis.
- the support wall In the steep position of the backrest plate, the support wall forms an angle with the horizontal of approximately 30 ° to approximately 40 ° and in the flat inclination position, this support wall extends approximately horizontally, ie parallel to the bottom of the foot.
- the back support 10 consists of a foot 12 and a plate 14 forming the backrest, as well as an end piece of hose 16.
- the plate 14 has Parallel stiffening walls 18 running from the bottom upwards, to which two side walls 20 adjoin in the lower region, which are connected to one another by a rear wall 22 (cf. FIG. 2) and form a box which is open at the bottom.
- the foot 12 consists of a base plate 24, two side walls 26 and a rear wall 28.
- the side walls 26 together with the base 24 and the rear wall 28 form a housing in which the tube piece 16 is received.
- a standing front wall 30 and a rear partition 32 are provided to secure the position of the tube piece 16 are shown in FIG. 3 still a standing front wall 30 and a rear partition 32 are provided.
- the two walls 30 and 32 position the hose section 16.
- a pivot axis 34 extends at a certain distance above the bottom of the foot, which projects outwards from the two side walls 26 and into corresponding bores in the ribs 18 of the plate 14 and / or other holes in the side walls 20 of the plate 14 engage. In this way, the plate 14 is pivotally mounted on the base 12.
- the bottom 24 of the foot 12 has a flat lower surface which is intended to rest on a lifting plate of a lifting device.
- the bottom 24 also has two lateral edge reinforcements, in which parallel channels 36 are formed, in which metal rods 38 are inserted, which protrude from the base 12 with their front ends and are bent off at the projecting ends, as in FIGS.
- the hose section 16 lies transversely to the longitudinal direction of the back support 10 and the lift device. Its two ends are connected pressure-tight by means of clamping pieces 40. Two clamping pieces 40 are mortised and / or riveted together, including the edge of the hose piece. The total length of the tube piece 16 with the pairs of clamping pieces on both sides is equal to the clear width of the foot 12, measured between the two side walls 26. In the middle of the in FIG. 4, a tube with a comparatively small cross-section is pressed in on the left-hand side of the hose section, which is connected to a fitting 42 which belongs to a connecting line by means of which the hose section 16 is connected to a manual control multi-way valve.
- a support wall 44 is provided, the bottom tangential plane of which intersects the axis of the pivot bearing 34. This plane forms an angle of approximately 45 ° with the plane of the plate 14 and the support wall 44 is located at a sufficient distance from the rear surface of the plate 14 and from the pivot bearing 34, so that this support wall 44 can work effectively with the tube piece 16 to the To pivot plate 14 even with strong counterforce with sufficient lever arm.
- the central region of the support wall 44 is concavely curved on the bottom. This concave curvature 46 extends over the entire length of the support wall 44 measured in the direction of the swivel axis. This curvature 46 is adapted to the diameter of the filled tube piece 16, thereby creating a wide-area support.
- the hose piece takes 16 a cylindrical shape and is supported both on the bottom 24 and on the rear intermediate wall 32 of the foot 12 and presses the plate 14 by means of the support wall 44 into a steep position in which the plate 14 is at an angle of approximately 15 with the vertical ° forms. If the pressure water is let out of the hose section 16, the plate 14 swings slowly backwards, the hose section 16 becoming increasingly flattened.
- the plate 14 can be fixed in any inclination position.
- the full swivel angle is 30 ° in the exemplary embodiment.
- the plate 14 then forms an angle of 45 ° with the vertical. This position is shown in FIG. 2 shown. In this flat inclination position, the support wall 44 is essentially horizontal.
- a gas tension spring 48 biases the plate 14 in the direction of this flat inclination position (cf. FIG. 2), so that plate 14 and foot 12 cannot be pivoted freely relative to one another, which would also interfere with transportation, for example.
- this tension spring 48 secures the plate 14 even in the intermediate positions predetermined by the pressurized water filling in the hose section 16.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a back support for lift devices usable in bathtubs, with a plate that can be pivoted on a lifting plate of the lift device as a backrest, and an adjusting device that effects an inclination adjustment of the plate, which is arranged on the back of the plate, can be filled with pressurized water, and is closed at the end from flexible, im essential non-stretch material, which is connected to a multi-way hand control valve.
Such a back support is known from WO-A-82 03 002. In this known back support, the tube piece is arranged directly on the back of the plate and is completely free. The piece of hose should be supported on the bathtub during operation. The diameter of the piece of hose must now be very large, because when filling the hose this distance is first overcome before any inclination adjustment can take place. The very large diameter of the hose section makes the known lift device more expensive, continues to be a hindrance in handling and delays the response time considerably, since several liters of water have to flow into the hose section before the plate swivels effectively.
Der Stützbügel flacht in der Steilstellung der Platte das Schlauchstück in der Kontaktzone nicht nur ab, sondern verformt die Schlauchwand konkav, wodurch der Schlauch lokal hoch belastet wird.FR-A-21 36 526 shows a lounger with a base frame on which two pieces of hose which can be actuated by pressure medium are arranged in order to pivot frame parts of the lounger.
The object of the invention is to provide a back support of the type mentioned in such a way that there is no need to support the piece of tubing on the bath tub and the piece of tubing is positioned so that it is displaceable in such a way that with a minimal size of the piece of tubing a sufficient inclination adjustment of the plate with a high plate pivoting moment is achieved.
To solve this problem it is provided according to the invention that the plate is mounted on a foot that can be placed on the lifting plate of the lifting device, that between the plate and the foot a, at least for the most part, closed chamber is formed, in which the piece of tubing at a distance from the Plate is securely positioned and is supported on the base on the foot, and that the plate has a support wall on the back, which extends parallel to the plate pivot axis at a distance from it at least over the largest part of the length of the tube piece, the bottom wall at least in the central region, the diameter of the Has adapted pressure-filled hose section concave curvature with a wide contact surface on the hose section.
In order to be able to use a piece of hose with a limited diameter, it must be arranged adjacent to the pivot axis. Because of the necessarily short lever arm of the support wall, it rests over a large area on the hose section, so that a high lifting force is achieved when the hose section is filled. Thanks to the concave curvature on the bottom side of the retaining wall, a wide contact surface is also achieved when the hose section is full.
Another advantage of the invention is that the foot only has to protrude slightly beyond the plate forming the backrest, with the result that in the steep position of the plate, in which it forms an angle of approximately 15 ° with the vertical, the solder from the upper edge of the plate touches the rear foot end.
An advantageous development of the invention is that the tangential plane of the support surface of the support wall intersects at least approximately the axis of the pivot bearing of the plate, whereby the support wall is directed essentially radially with respect to the pivot bearing axis. In the steep position of the backrest plate, the support wall forms an angle with the horizontal of approximately 30 ° to approximately 40 ° and in the flat inclination position, this support wall extends approximately horizontally, ie parallel to the bottom of the foot.
The invention is described in more detail with reference to the drawing, which represents an exemplary embodiment.

The
The
Both in the steep position (FIG. 1) of the
The
Between the
In the state filled with pressurized water, the hose piece takes 16 a cylindrical shape and is supported both on the bottom 24 and on the rear
