A package (50, 150) made of a flat cardboard blank (1, 101) or the like, having cutouts (13, 14; 113, 114) to receive elongate articles (51, 52) and having a window-like opening to view the articles, there being provided a front (3, 103) and a back (2, 102) connected to the latter via a bottom section (31, 131), the front (3, 103) consisting of a plurality of sections (31 to 37; 131 to 137) which form two hollow spaces in which the cutouts (13, 14; 113, 114) to receive the end sections of the articles (51, 52) are provided, and a section (34, 134) of the front (3, 103) being provided between the hollow spaces, which section rests directly against the back (2, 102) and can be connected thereto by bonding or the like. <IMAGE>
