Description

  • La présente invention a trait à un dispositif pour la transformation d'un canapé en lit et elle vise plus particulièrement la structure permettant la rotation simultanée du canapé et du lit.
  • On connaît de nombreux dispositifs de ce genre qui permettent par différentes rotations de transformer le canapé en lit. Par exemple, il existe des canapés dont le dossier se bascule pour former avec l'assise une base horizontale constituant le lit (US-A-2 550 599). D'autres canapés tels que les canapés convertibles comportent des moyens pour que l'assise horizontale se déplie en vue de constituer le sommier du lit.
  • Les canapés sont modifiables lorsque l'utilisateur a préalablement procédé au retrait soit des coussins, soit de la housse qui recouvre ce dernier avant d'être déplié. En outre, le lit doit être fait à chaque utilisation, car l'épaisseur des draps et couvertures empêche la manipulation du canapé.
  • De plus, la conception de chacun des canapés décrits précédemment ne permet pas d'obtenir un confort appréciable. En effet dans le cas de canapés dont le dossier se bascule on constate que l'assise du lit est d'une largeur inférieure aux tailles standard telles que 120cm ou 140cm.
  • Dans le cas des canapés convertibles on remarque d'une part que l'épaisseur du matelas est faible et d'autre part que la largeur d'assise du canapé est trop importante.
  • C'est à ces inconvénients qu'entend plus particulièrement remédier la présente invention.
  • Le dispositif suivant la présente invention permettant la transformation du canapé en lit comprend un cadre fixe à l'intérieur duquel pivote un plateau rigide pourvu sur sa face extérieure et inférieure d'un canapé qui se replie lors de la rotation dudit plateau.
  • Le dispositif, tel que revendiqué dans la revendication 1, comprend sur chacun des montants verticaux du cadre une équerre dont l'une des branches est solidaire du plateau rigide, tandis que l'autre branche coopère avec une traverse inclinée autour de laquelle pivote un plan horizontal formant l'assise du canapé.
  • Le dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple, permettra de mieux comprendre l'invention, les caractéristiques qu'elle présente et les avantages qu'elle est susceptible de procurer :
    • Fig. 1 est une vue en perspective illustrant le canapé-lit en position de canapé.
    • Fig. 2 est une coupe verticale représentant le dispositif de basculement en position de fig. 1.
    • Fig. 3 est une vue en perspective montrant le canapé-lit en position de lit.
    • Fig. 4 est une coupe verticale illustrant le dispositif de basculement en position de fig. 3.
  • On représenté en fig. 1 et 2 un canapé-lit 1 comportant un cadre 2 fixé contre un mur 3 et pourvu de montants verticaux 2a et d'une traverse supérieure 2b.
  • A l'intérieur du cadre 2 est prévu un plateau rigide 4a formant le sommier d'un lit 4 et qui est relié à chacun des montants verticaux 2a par une équerre pivotante 5. Sur la face extérieure du plateau 4a et plus particulièrement dans sa partie inférieure sont fixées deux joues verticales et parallèles 6. Ces dernières permettent de retenir parallèlement au plateau 4a un matelas 7a formant le dossier d'un canapé 7. A l'opposé du matelas 7a et entre le mur 3 et le plateau 4a est prévu un autre matelas 4b pour le lit 4.
  • L'équerre 5 est pourvue de deux branches perpendiculaires 5a et 5b dont l'une au moins et plus particulièrement celle référencée 5b présente à son extrémité libre un profil arrondi renforcé par une plaque métallique 5c de même profil.
  • Chaque équerre 5 est reliée au montant respectif 2a du cadre 2 par l'intermédiaire d'un axe de rotation 5d. La branche 5a de chacune des équerres 5 est fixée sur le côté du plateau rigide 4a formant le sommier du lit 4, tandis que son extrémité libre est reliée à la tige de piston 8a d'un vérin 8 dont le corps est solidaire du montant vertical 2a correspondant.
  • La branche 5b des équerres 5 comporte à son extrémité libre un axe de rotation autour duquel pivote une barre inclinée 7b formant le pied du canapé 7. A chaque barre 7b est articulé un panneau sensiblement horizontal 7c formant l'assise du canapé 7 et sur lequel est placé un matelas 7d. Le panneau 7c est disposé juste en dessous de la branche 5b de chaque équerre 5 de manière que son bord supérieur et arrière soit en contact permanent avec le profil arondi de la branche 5b lors de la transformation du canapé 7 en lit 4. Le bord supérieur et arrière du panneau 7c comporte une plaque métallique 7e qui est en contact avec le renfort métallique 5c de la branche 5b. Le plaque 7e et le renfort 5c sont prévus d'un état de surface particulier qui constitue une liaison sans glissement ou adhérente. En effet, le contact de haute adhérence entre la plaque 7e et le renfort 5 empêche l'ouverture prématurée du plateau 4a formant ainsi un dispositif de sécurité.
  • Au-dessus du matelas 7a du canapé 7 et sur la face extérieure du plateau 4a est prévu un pied basculant 4c qui permet de soutenir ledit plateau 4a lorsque le lit 4 se trouve en position ouverte, comme représentée en fig. 4.
  • Le fonctionnement du canapé-lit 1 découle de la description précédente à savoir :
  • Lorsque l'utilisateur veut transformer le canapé 7 représenté en fig. 1 en lit 4 comme montré en fig. 3, il lui suffit de tirer sur le pied basculant 4c servant de poignée pour faire pivoter le plateau rigide 4a de sa position verticale à une position horizontale. La descente du plateau 4a est amortie par les vérins 8 qui sont prévus sur chacun des montants verticaux 2a du cadre 2. Le basculement du plateau 4a entraîne simultanément la rotation de l'équerre 5 autour de l'axe 5d. La rotation de l'équerre 5 permet, par l'intermédiaire de sa branche 5b et de son profil arrondi, de faire pivoter la barre 7b pour lui faire prendre une position sensiblement horizontale afin d'amener le panneau 7c au-dessus du sol. La rotation est ralentie par l'intermédiaire de la plaque 7e et du renfort métallique 5c qui, par leur haut coefficient de frottement, empêchent le plateau 4a de descendre trop rapidement du fait de son propre poids.
  • On note que l'ouverture du plateau 4a permet de plier complètement le canapé 7 en dessous dudit plateau sans que l'utilisateur ne procède préalablement à la modification du canapé. De plus, le matelas 4b est sanglé sur le plateau 4a en vue de permettre à l'utilisateur de ne pas modifier le lit à chaque utilisation.

Claims (7)

  1. Dispositif pour la transformation d'un canapé en lit, du genre comprenant un cadre fixé contre un mur à l'intérieur duquel pivote un plateau rigide constituant le sommier d'un lit, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend sur chacun des montants verticaux (2a) du cadre (2) une équerre (5) dont l'une des branches (5a) est solidaire du plateau rigide (4a) tandis que l'autre branche (5b) coopère avec une barre inclinée (7b) autour de laquelle pivote un panneau horizontal (7c) formant l'assise du canapé (7), alors que le dossier dudit canapé (7) est réalisé par deux joues (6) verticales et parallèles solidaires de la face extérieure et inférieure du plateau rigide (4a).
  2. Dispositif suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la branche (5b) de l'équerre (5) présente un profil arrondi renforcé par une plaque métallique (5c) qui est en contact avec une autre plaque (7e) fixée sur le bord supérieur et arrière du panneau (7c).
  3. Dispositif suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le plateau (4a) est solidaire de l'équerre (5) de manière à pivoter autour d'un même axe de rotation (5d).
  4. Dispositif suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la branche (5a) de l'équerre (5) coopère avec la tige de piston (8a) d'un vérin (8) dont le corps est solidaire des montants verticaux (2a) du cadre (2).
  5. Dispositif suivant la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que le profil arrondi de la branche (5b) de l'équerre (5) est en contact permanent avec le bord supérieur et arrière du panneau (7c) du canapé (7).
  6. Dispositif suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le plateau (4a) comprend dans sa partie supérieure et au-dessus du canapé (7) un pied basculant (4c) permettant de retenir le lit (4) lorsque celui-ci est déplié.
  7. Dispositif suivant la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que la plaque (7e) et le renfort (5c) sont prévus pour constituer une liaison sans glissement ou adhérente pour éviter l'ouverture prématurée du plateau (4a).
