Description

The invention relates to a packaging container with a hanger according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a packaging container with a hanger has become known, for example, from US Pat. No. 4,349,102. The known packaging container with a hanger has the disadvantage that its plastic packaging container is relatively expensive to manufacture and has to be removed from a carrier in order to read information printed on its side surfaces or its back. The invention has for its object to develop such a packaging container with a hanger such that the packaging container can be made from a more environmentally friendly material, while at the same time a simple assembly of the hanger should be given. Furthermore, it should be possible to be able to read information printed on the packaging container without having to remove the packaging container from a carrier.

This object is achieved with the characterizing features of claim 1. The packaging container according to the invention with a hanger also has the particular advantage that its hanger can be rotated, so that it manages with a minimum of packaging material, since all outer surfaces of the packaging are suitable for printing information without this resulting in difficult handling for a consumer.

Further advantages and advantageous developments of the packaging container according to the invention with a hanger result from the subclaims and the description.

Beschreibung der AusführungsbeispieleDescription of the embodiments

The packaging container is a folding box 10, which consists of a blank 11 made of cardboard or cardboard. The folding box 10 has the shape of a cuboid with two narrow side walls 12 and 13, a front wall 14 and a rear wall 15. A longitudinal flap 16 connects the narrow side wall 12 to the front wall 14. At the transverse ends of the side walls 12 and 13 there are narrow folding flaps 18, and wide flaps 19 and 20 formed on the front 14 and rear wall 15. The folding tabs 18 on the side walls 12 and 13 have a lower height than the closing tabs 19 and 20 on the front 14 and rear wall 15, the height of which corresponds to the width of the narrow side walls 12 and 13. Two opposing flaps 20 forming a closure at one end of the folding box 10 each have a largely V-shaped cutout 22. The cutout 22 divides the flaps 20 into right and left wings. The depth of the cutouts 22 of the flaps 20 is at least half their height, so that a hole 23 remains when the two flaps 20 are folded over one another.

A hanger 25 made of plastic is anchored in the hole 23. It is fastened in the folding box 10 by first inserting it into the cutout 22 of one of the closure flaps 20, and then folding both closure flaps 20 against one another so that the closure flaps 20 overlap one another, the left wing of a closure flap 20 being the left wing of the covers other flap 20 and the right wing of one flap 20 is below the right wing of the other flap 20. Both flaps 20 are glued together.

The hanger 25 has a suspension eye 26 and an anchor 28 connected to it via a web 27. The suspension eye 26 has a longitudinal slot 29 and in the center of this arcuate recesses 31, which together form a suspension opening 32. A circumferential reinforcing rib 33 is formed parallel to the suspension opening 32. Outside the reinforcing rib 33, the suspension eye 26 has four stiffening ribs 34, the edges 35 of which touch the outer contour of the reinforcing rib 33. The suspension eyelet 26 is adjoined transversely to the longitudinal extension thereof by the web 27, which has a symmetrically cruciform cross section. At the free end of the web 27, the armature 28 has an essentially circular plate 36 with two parallel edges 37. Above the plate 36, a collar 40 is arranged on the web 27. The distance between the collar 40 and the plate 36 corresponds at least to the thickness of two sealing tabs 20 which are arranged between the plate 36 and the collar 40. The collar 40 has a rectangular contact surface 41, the narrow sides 42 of which have the width of the web 27. The collar 40 serves as a pressure protection for the hanger 25 in the event that the circular plate 36 is arranged below the narrow folding tab 18. The circular plate 36 has a contact surface 43 which is larger than the contact surface 41 of the collar 40. In addition, the smallest possible contact surface 41 of the collar 40 facilitates the handling of the closure flaps 20 when the hanger 25 is mounted on the folding box 10.
On the underside of the plate 36, two mutually parallel stop ribs 44 are formed at right angles to the suspension eye 26, which also serve to demold the hanger 25 from its injection molding tool. The stop ribs 44 extend from one of the edges 37 to the central plane of the hanger 25. In the event that the narrow folding tabs 18 are arranged below the circular plate 36, the height of the latter is advantageously such that the folding tabs 18 laterally up to the stop ribs 44 reach so that a pressure point must be overcome when twisting the hanging box 10 hanging on the hanger 25. For functional or optical reasons, the surfaces of the collar 40 and the plate 36 opposite the bearing surfaces can also be designed differently, for example spherically.
Viewing windows 46 are preferably formed in the front wall 14 of the folding box 10 and are optionally backed with a transparent dust protection film. For easy opening of the folding box 10, the latter has a transverse perforation 47 in its lower region.

In a second exemplary embodiment of a folding box 10a (FIG. 3), which is particularly suitable for automatic production, the longitudinal flap 16a and the narrow side walls 12a and 13a of the blank 11a are each half as wide as the front wall 14a and the rear wall 15a. The closure flap 20a associated with the front wall 15a has a rectangular cutout 22a with a width B, the greatest depth of which is at least half the height of the closure flap 20a. To insert a hanger 25a, the cutout 22a is cut out in a V-shape on its upper side. The other flap 20b has a substantially V-shaped cutout 22b, the greatest depth of which is greater than the depth of the rectangular cutout 22a, and the contour of which is chosen in particular such that the circular plate 36a of the hanger 25a with the folded box 10a always with a lateral one Distance to the cutout 22b is arranged. In the exemplary embodiment, the two folding flaps 18a have approximately the same height as the closing flaps 20a and 20b, the sides of the folding flaps 18a facing away from the closing flap 20a being cut off obliquely, so that the plate 36a can be rotated when the folding box 10a is closed, without the narrow folding flaps 18a to touch.

The head of the folding box 10a is closed by placing the narrow folding tabs 18a on top of one another and possibly gluing them together. The closure flap 20a is then folded over and glued to the folding tabs 18a. Then the hanger 25a is inserted into the cutout 22a of the locking tab 20a. Finally, the closure flap 20b is folded over onto the closure flap 20a and glued to it.

The hanger 25a used in the folding box 10a has in the region of its anchor 28a between the collar 40a and the circular plate 36a two sections 48, 49 of approximately the same height, of which the first section 48 adjoining the collar 40a has a U-shaped cross section has two outer guide surfaces 45 (FIG. 8). In particular, the width b of the section 48 with the U-shaped cross section corresponds to the width B of the cutout 22a of the closure flap 20a. The second section 49, which faces the circular plate 36a, has a half-shell-shaped cross section. The height of section 49 corresponds at least to the thickness of the two locking tabs 20a, 20b. Advantageously, the circumference of the half-shell, as shown in FIG. 9, is larger than a semicircle, the outer diameter d of the half-shell being less than or equal to the width b of section 48.
In addition, it is pointed out that the cross section of section 48 can be designed differently, in particular rectangular.

When mounting the hanger 25a in the closure flap 20a, the section 48 with the U-shaped cross section is inserted into the cutout 22a, so that the suspension eye 26a with its broad sides parallel to the front wall 14a or rear wall 15a, and the guide surfaces 45 are form-fitting are arranged in the cutout 22a. This will cause twisting of the hanger 25a in the folding box 10a is prevented, and a simple threading of the hanging opening 32a onto a hanger at the sales stand enables. As soon as the folding box 10a is suspended there, it is pulled downward, as a result of which the hanger 25a slides upward and the half-shell-shaped section 49 reaches the area of the cutout 22. Since the diameter d of the section 49 is less than or equal to the width b of the section 22a, the folding box 10a can now be rotated on the hanger 25a in the desired manner.

In a modification of the two exemplary embodiments of one-part folding boxes 10 and 10a described above, the third exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 10 is designed as a two-part folding box 50 with a base body 51 and a cover 52. For anchoring the hanger 25, the end walls 53 and 54 of the base body 51 and the cover 52 serving as sealing flaps have V-shaped cutouts 55 and 56 with a rounded base, which leave a hole free after the cover 52 has been placed on the base body 51. In this hole, the hanger 25 is inserted as in the first embodiment described, but the end wall 54 of the cover 52 completely covers the end wall 53 of the base body 51.

In addition, it is pointed out that a V-shaped cutout 22, 55 or 56 need not be arranged in each of the closure flaps 20 or end walls 53 and 54 forming the closure. The second cutout 22, 55 or 56 can be omitted if the second closing flap or the second end wall is shorter than the first closing flap or the first end wall, so that it only extends to the hanger 25 and with it
Front edge of the hole for the anchor 28 is limited.

Furthermore, it is conceivable to dispense with the web 27 in the hangers 25, 25a. In this case, the suspension eye 26 merges directly into the anchor 28. This results in a more compact and stiffer hanger 25, 25a.
