Ein gesteuerter Luftaustausch kann dann vorgesehen werden, wenn in einem Fenster ein weiteres Klappfenster angeordnet ist, welches ein beschränktes Öffnen des Fensters erlaubt. Um die Fläche des Lichtdurchtrittes eines Fensters möglichst groß zu halten, werden die Rahmen von Fenstern möglichst gering dimensioniert. Eine weitere Vorgabe besteht auch darin, daß Beschläge und auch Handgriffe od. dgl. sich möglichst nicht oder nur geringfügig über den durchsichtigen Teil des Fensters erstrecken.
