  • the guide portions are used for centring the cage, there need only be three. In larger cages, on the other hand, it may be desirable to use more than four.
  • the rods are also used to locate the cage bars, it is advantageous, though not essential to provide as many rods as there are main bars in the cage.
  • the number of offset guide portions is determined in part by the size of the cage and in part by the hardness of the soil. Larger cages require more guiding and the same applies to soft soil.
  • rods of the support structure it is also not essential for all the rods of the support structure to include offset guide portions. Thus a large cage may require several rods for strength but only require a lesser number of guide portions in view of the soil. Furthermore, when some of the rods are left straight, the strength of the support structure is improved in that it can better withstand axial forces, without the bent rods being deformed from their desired shape.

Claims (7)

  1. Structure de support servant à fabriquer une cage d'armature de pieu en béton de façon à maintenir mutuellement espacés une pluralité de barreaux (24) s'étendant dans la direction longitudinale de la cage, la structure de support comportant au moins deux cadres transversaux superposés mutuellement espacés (12, 14), fixés lors de leur utilisation aux barreaux longitudinaux (24) de la cage, et une pluralité de barres métalliques (16) fixées aux cadres transversaux (12,14) et s'étendant longitudinalement entre ceux-ci, dans laquelle au moins trois des barres (16) s'étendant entre les cadres (12, 14) ont des parties de guidage (18) déportées radialement vers l'extérieur qui se trouvent en dehors du volume délimité par les cadres et qui sont rendues résistantes à la corrosion.
  2. Structure de support selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle les parties de guidage sont rendues résistantes à la corrosion en étant recouvertes d'un revêtement approprié.
  3. Structure de support selon la revendication 2, dans laquelle le revêtement sur les parties de guidage est en matière plastique, sous la forme de manchons en matière plastique enfilés sur les barres.
  4. Structure de support selon la revendication 3, dans laquelle les manchons en matière plastique ont une surface extérieure plane définie par des rebords (20a, 20b) s'étendant latéralement de part et d'autre d'un tube cylindrique (20').
  5. Structure de support selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle les parties de guidage sont galvanisées ou traitées de quelque autre manière contre la corrosion.
  6. Structure de support selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle les barres métalliques (16) sont réparties de manière régulière sur le pourtour des cadres transversaux (12, 14).
  7. Cage comportant une pluralité de barreaux longitudinaux fixés au moins à deux structures de support selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes.
