Wie aus der Zeichnung ersichtlich, umfaßt jede Steckrahmen-Steckmodul-Einheit gemäß den Fig. 1 bis 4 einen aus zwei Endstücken 1, 2 und zwei vergleichsweise längeren Rahmenteilen 3, 4, die über vier Schrauben 5 miteinander verbunden sind, bestehenden Steckrahmen vorzugsweise aus Aluminium. Im veranschaulichten Ausführungsbeispiel sind innerhalb des vom Steckrahmen begrenzten Raums acht Isolierkörper 6 bis 13 eingesetzt. Die in herkömlicher Weise ausgebildeten Isolierkörper 6 und 13 enthalten jeweils drei Stiftkontakte 14 bzw. 15. Die Isolierkörper 7 und 12 stellen Distanzkörper unterschiedlicher Stärke dar. Die Isolierkörper 8 bis 11 sind erfindungsgemäß zweiteilig ausgebildet. Letzteres umfaßt zwei äußere Stege 25 bzw. 26, mit denen es das erste Teil 23 fest erfassend übergreift. Um den festen Halt zu gewährleisten, ist zwischen diesen geringfügig elastisch verformbaren äußeren Stegen 25, 26 und der Außenseite des von letzteren übergriffenen ersten Teils 23 des Isolierkörpers 8 jeweils eine nicht näher veranschaulichte Rastverbindung vorgesehen. Diese ist durch an den Steginnenseiten vorstehende Rastvorsprünge gebildet, die in verbundenem Zustand der beiden Teile 23, 24 in entsprechende Ausnehmungen des Teils 23 eingreifen.As can be seen from FIG. 5, the insulating body 8 consists of the parts 23 and 24. Letztere weisen nämlich das Erfassen der Nasen 27, 28 von außen ermöglichende, der Ausdehnung der Nasen entsprechend bemessene, nicht näher veranschaulichte Ausnehmungen auf. Die Nasen 27, 28 stellten gemeinsam mit den Ausnehmungen der Rahmenteile 3, 4 sicher, daß der Isolierkörper 8 ebenso wie die analog ausgebildeten Isolierkörper 9 bis 11 im Steckrahmen einen festen Halt finden. Modulares Steckverbindersystem mit mindestens einem aus miteinander verbindbaren, vorzugsweise verschraubbaren Rahmenteilen (1-4; 1'-4') bestehenden Steckrahmen, einer Mehrzahl von im Steckrahmen festgelegten Isolierkörpern (6-13; 6'-13'), die sich nebeneinander aufgereiht mit zwei etwa parallelen äußeren Anlageflächen aneinander abstützen und jeweils mindestens zwei sich quer zu den Anlageflächen erstreckende, mit Haltevorsprüngen (27, 28; 27', 28') versehene äußere Halteflächen aufweisen, die einen übereinstimmenden gegenseitigen Abstand aufweisen und von zwei sich parallel zueinander erstreckenden Rahmenteilen (3, 4; 3', 4') des Steckrahmens derart von außen erfaßt werden, daß eine Bewegung der Isolierkörper (6-13; 6'-13') quer zur Ebene des Steckrahmens ausgeschlossen ist, sowie mit einer Vielzahl von der Energie- bzw.
