Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hydraulic cylinder with a cylinder tube, which is provided at one end with a bottom and at the other end with a cover, groove-shaped recesses are provided on the cover and bottom for connecting the cylinder tube on the one hand and the cover and the bottom, into which a Holding area of the respective end of the cylinder tube is pressed in under permanent deformation.
Hydraulic cylinders of the type mentioned are known, for example, from DE-A1 22 38 211 and DE-A1 40 02 558 and are used in particular in hydraulic actuated or controlled devices as working cylinders. The above-mentioned type of connection between the cylinder tube and the cover or base enables a simpler and more cost-effective production than the solutions of the connection by means of screw threads or soldering or welding, which are also common in this context, which offers advantages in particular for bulk articles.
While in the known hydraulic cylinder mentioned above in the first place the cylinder tube is narrowed by simple bending or flanging and thereby engages in a groove provided on the peripheral surface of the bottom or cover, which does not result in a particularly reliable connection and is not suitable for high working pressures, is in the second place known as a known hydraulic cylinder side of the groove-shaped recess frustoconical, the associated end of the cylinder tube is pressed into this recess by compression molding such that the material of the cylinder tube in the region of the groove an annular portion lying against the ground and then forms a conical section lying against the conical surface - the disadvantage here is that the cylinder tube can at least partially slip over said conical surface under higher loads, which results in at least one leak if not an egg n functional failure results.
The object of the present invention is to provide a hydraulic cylinder to improve the above-mentioned type so that the disadvantages of the known devices are avoided and that, in particular, despite simple and inexpensive manufacture, a secure connection between the cylinder tube on the one hand and the cover and base on the other hand can be ensured.
This is achieved in accordance with the present invention in a hydraulic cylinder of the type mentioned in the introduction that in the region of the inner end with respect to the longitudinal extension of the cylinder tube of each holding region of the undeformed cylinder tube, a recess is provided, which in the deformed state of the cylinder tube extends over the associated inner edge of the groove-shaped Recess engages. This screwing, and in particular its circumferential edge which is outer with respect to the longitudinal extent of the cylinder tube and which, according to a preferred development of the invention, is sharp-edged, claws to a certain extent during the pressing process into the lid or bottom and in particular over the associated inner edge of the groove-shaped recess, with which A highly resilient, positive connection results, according to which the hydraulic cylinder can still be operated safely even with much higher operating pressures than in the known hydraulic cylinders of the type mentioned. In this way, the cylinder tube can no longer simply slip over the pressed parts even when the hydraulic cylinder is subjected to high pressures.
In a further embodiment of the invention, at each end of the cylinder tube, a plurality of holding areas with recesses and a number of associated groove-shaped recesses can be provided, which further increases the permissible load capacity of the connection.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cylinder tube consists of a relatively hard material, in particular steel, and the base and / or cover consists of a relatively soft material, in particular aluminum. This allows the indentation - and especially its outer edge - to become softer during the indentation or press-in process Press or claw the material from the lid or base, which further increases the security and tightness of the connection in a simple manner and allows greater possibilities in the choice of material.
Another preferred development of the invention is characterized in that the bottom and / or cover are designed to overlap the associated end of the cylinder tube and that the respective holding area is pressed from the inside into the groove-shaped recess, which is open on the inside, on the cylinder tube, which is what the design and thus application options increased while maintaining the benefits achieved.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawing. 1 shows a longitudinal section through a hydraulic cylinder designed according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows an external view of part of the hydraulic cylinder according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a cylinder tube for use in a hydraulic cylinder according to FIGS. 1 and 2 before pressing Cover or bottom, FIG. 4 the enlarged detail IV from FIG. 3, FIG. 5 the enlarged detail V from FIG. 3, FIG. 6 a separate sectional drawing of the cover of the hydraulic cylinder from FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale and FIG. 7 an enlargement of detail VII from FIG. 6.
The hydraulic cylinder shown has a
Deckel 8 eingelegt. For the connection between
In Fig. 2 can be seen in the
From FIGS. 3 to 5 it can be seen that in the
It is only important that the formation of the above-mentioned
