Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical switching device, in particular switches or buttons, with a housing with connecting leads therein, with fixed contact pieces and at least one self-resetting movable contact piece, which is designed as a switching spring which is used in the housing moisture-tight, which fixed contact pieces with the in the housing molded or mechanically held connecting conductors are connected in one piece.
- a switching device which is designed as a button with snap contact and has a low overall height.
- the snap contact is arranged on a printed circuit board in the correct position and function, and is sealed and fixed airtight on the printed circuit board by means of an adhesive film.
- this arrangement behaves similarly to a bellows, so that dust, moist air and the like are sucked into the switching system with each switching operation, unless all-round good adhesive adhesion of the cover film is guaranteed.
- This is the problem of the arrangement described, since the snap contact and the adhesive film fixing it can only be applied after the printed circuit board has been fully assembled. In this case, solder residues and dirt and the like act as adhesion preventers, so that the adhesive bond can be interrupted locally.
- This known switching device is of compact design, but due to the contact elements provided, it can lead to incorrect switching as a result of bouncing of the movable contact piece and erosion.
- the switching spring serving as a movable contact piece has a triangular shape, that the contacting with the fixed contact pieces is provided at the corner points and in the middle of each triangular switching spring, that the switching spring has bulges at the points provided for contacting the fixed contact pieces and that the switch spring is glued airtight to the housing by means of adhesive film.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that at least two switching springs are provided, which are used to selectively contact a common fixed contact piece.
- each switching spring has a triangular shape.
- An arrangement of the switch springs, in which the switch springs are directed towards one another with their tips, has proven to be particularly advantageous when it comes to contacting a common fixed contact piece.
- the housing is prepared in such a way that a precisely contoured receptacle allows the contact-fitting switching spring assembly to be inserted with a precise fit and enables a simple sealing at the edge between the housing and the spring surface.
- the switching spring advantageously consists of a highly conductive spring material and is designed as a self-resetting snap contact.
- the switching spring is curved or it can have a trough-shaped impression, which gives the switching spring a monostable switching behavior.
- the switching springs In order to improve contacting with the fixed contact pieces, it may be expedient to provide the switching springs with bulges at the points provided for contacting. These bulges can be formed either by appropriate impressions or by molding.
- the switching device according to the invention with all the configurations described above is designed as a short-stroke switching device with a switching travel ⁇ 2 mm.
- a preferred use of the switching device according to the invention can be installed in a multiple switching device, for. B. window switch for motor vehicles may be provided, each switch spring by an actuator, for. B. rocker is acted upon.
- an electrical switching device is shown in plan view, which has two pairs of switching springs 14 and a housing 12 made of plastic with fixed contact pieces 18, 20, 22 held therein in recesses 15.
- the two switching springs 14 are flat and are arranged at a short distance from the fixed contact pieces 18, 20, 22.
- the switching springs 14 are preferably made of highly conductive spring bronze and serve as a movable contact piece.
- the fixed contact pieces 18, 20, 22 located below the relevant switching spring 14 are connected to one another and thereby one or more circuits are closed via conductor tracks 16.
- the switching springs 14 are each slightly upwards, i. H. away from the fixed contact pieces, arched, which enables their function as a snap contact. Due to the material-related stiffness of the switching springs 14, these have the tendency to return to their starting position when they are pressed by pushing in the direction of the fixed contact pieces 18, 20, 22.
- the electrical switching device shown and described in Figure 1 is shown in partial section in side view.
- the other features shown are designated by the corresponding reference numerals as in FIG. 1.
- the explanations in this regard accordingly also apply to the illustration in FIG. 2.
- the sealing of the switching springs 14 in the plastic molded housing 12 can be provided in various ways. Either the switch springs 14 are taped in accordance with the switches of the known type by means of an adhesive film 24 in the plastic molded housing 12, so that the problem of the reduction in liability which occurs in the known switches as a result of solder residues and contamination cannot be taken care of here, or the switch springs 14 are shaped. and / or anchored in the plastic housing 12, e.g. B. clamped between lateral boundaries and sealed by means of sealing compound.
- Such lateral boundaries can, for. B. be formed on each of the triangular sides of the switching spring 14 on the housing 12.
- the triangular edges of the switch springs are each supported by the limits not shown here non-positively, whereby the elasticity inherent in the plastic is used. As a result, slight changes in distance when the switching spring 14 is actuated are irrelevant.
- Another possibility of holding the switching springs 14 may be that on the plastic housing 12, for. B. hook-like formations are also provided in the region of the triangle sides, between which the switching springs 14 are guided and are held by the hook-shaped projection of the molding.
- conductor tracks 16, resistors 30 and LED 32 are connected to one another.
- the switching device shown in detail in FIG. 2 is a so-called window switch for installation in motor vehicles.
- the switching springs 14 with the movable contact pieces are inserted into precisely fitting recesses 15, possibly with bead-like formations.
- This contact arrangement 14 is sealed airtight with an adhesive film 24, so that the wear due to erosion is negligible when the contacts 14, 18, 20, 22 are actuated.
- a button 26 is used to actuate the movable contact 14, which button has only a small switching travel due to the small switching stroke of the switching springs 14.
- the low overall height of the switching device according to the invention proves to be advantageous, since switches of this type are often accommodated in the door trim of the motor vehicles, where, due to the design, there are only small installation depths and switches installed there may only have small overall heights.

Description
The invention relates to an electrical switching device, in particular switches or buttons, with a housing with connecting leads therein, with fixed contact pieces and at least one self-resetting movable contact piece, which is designed as a switching spring which is used in the housing moisture-tight, which fixed contact pieces with the in the housing molded or mechanically held connecting conductors are connected in one piece.
A switching device has been proposed which is designed as a button with snap contact and has a low overall height. In this case, the snap contact is arranged on a printed circuit board in the correct position and function, and is sealed and fixed airtight on the printed circuit board by means of an adhesive film. When the snap contact is actuated, this arrangement behaves similarly to a bellows, so that dust, moist air and the like are sucked into the switching system with each switching operation, unless all-round good adhesive adhesion of the cover film is guaranteed. This is the problem of the arrangement described, since the snap contact and the adhesive film fixing it can only be applied after the printed circuit board has been fully assembled. In this case, solder residues and dirt and the like act as adhesion preventers, so that the adhesive bond can be interrupted locally.
It is also unfavorable that the snap contact rests on the copper layer of the printed circuit board and that this is continuously removed due to the switching movement of the snap contact due to frictional wear. This creates high contact resistances, which have a negative impact on the switching capacity of the switching device.
From US-A-4331851 a switching device with a circuit board with switching contact points for data input mounted thereon is known, each with a very flat, that is to say with a thickness corresponding to the circuit board thickness, housing with an upwardly open recess into which, on the one hand, fixed contact pieces with connecting leads located thereon and above it a disc-shaped snap spring made of conductive material. On this arrangement there is a water-repellent seal, e.g. B. made of latex, which is held by an annular cover which is welded to the housing. In the middle of the annular cover there is a round opening through which the circular spring washer, which serves as a movable contact piece, is actuated by means of an actuating element which extends through the round opening in the middle of the cover.
This known switching device is of compact design, but due to the contact elements provided, it can lead to incorrect switching as a result of bouncing of the movable contact piece and erosion.
Starting from the prior art described above, it is therefore an object of the invention to provide a switching device of the type mentioned that is simple in design and inexpensive to manufacture while maintaining the switching principle and the low overall height and avoids the disadvantages indicated.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Thereafter, it is provided that the switching spring serving as a movable contact piece has a triangular shape, that the contacting with the fixed contact pieces is provided at the corner points and in the middle of each triangular switching spring, that the switching spring has bulges at the points provided for contacting the fixed contact pieces and that the switch spring is glued airtight to the housing by means of adhesive film.
A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that at least two switching springs are provided, which are used to selectively contact a common fixed contact piece.
An expedient embodiment of the invention provides that each switching spring has a triangular shape. An arrangement of the switch springs, in which the switch springs are directed towards one another with their tips, has proven to be particularly advantageous when it comes to contacting a common fixed contact piece.
According to the contour of the switching spring, the housing is prepared in such a way that a precisely contoured receptacle allows the contact-fitting switching spring assembly to be inserted with a precise fit and enables a simple sealing at the edge between the housing and the spring surface.
The switching spring advantageously consists of a highly conductive spring material and is designed as a self-resetting snap contact. For this purpose, the switching spring is curved or it can have a trough-shaped impression, which gives the switching spring a monostable switching behavior.
In order to improve contacting with the fixed contact pieces, it may be expedient to provide the switching springs with bulges at the points provided for contacting. These bulges can be formed either by appropriate impressions or by molding.
The switching device according to the invention with all the configurations described above is designed as a short-stroke switching device with a switching travel ≦ 2 mm. A preferred use of the switching device according to the invention can be installed in a multiple switching device, for. B. window switch for motor vehicles may be provided, each switch spring by an actuator, for. B. rocker is acted upon.
These and other advantageous configurations are the subject of the dependent claims.
The invention, advantageous refinements and improvements of the invention are to be explained and described in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.

- the switching device of Figure 1 in partial section from the side.
In Figure 1, an electrical switching device is shown in plan view, which has two pairs of switching
The switching
When the electrical switching device is actuated by depressing one of the
In Figure 2, the electrical switching device shown and described in Figure 1 is shown in partial section in side view. The other features shown are designated by the corresponding reference numerals as in FIG. 1. The explanations in this regard accordingly also apply to the illustration in FIG. 2. The sealing of the switching
In addition, in the arrangements shown,
The switching device shown in detail in FIG. 2 is a so-called window switch for installation in motor vehicles. The
In particular in this application, the low overall height of the switching device according to the invention proves to be advantageous, since switches of this type are often accommodated in the door trim of the motor vehicles, where, due to the design, there are only small installation depths and switches installed there may only have small overall heights.
