Des connecteurs de ce type sont en eux-mêmes connus. Le connecteur comporte essentiellement trois pièces, à savoir:

  • la cosse (1) qui assure la liaison électrique proprement dite,
  • la clé de fermeture (2) qui permet de bloquer ou de débloquer le connecteur de la borne de batterie,
  • un capot (3) qui assure l'isolation de l'ensemble connecteur-borne.
