- the flexible rod is usually made as thick as about 5 mm.
- the hands 2 and the feet 3 has their shaping freedoms and posing ranges limited if too short and are preferably made about 7 cm or longer from the body 1 to their leading ends so that they can be freely bent to take a variety of poses.
- the body 1 is covered through a cushioning material with cloth such as felt and formed into various animals such as rabbit, living beings or characters, then it can provide a comfortable feel and a unique design so that the doll can be used as a stuffed toy.
- Suckers 4 are attached to the ends of the flexible rods (e.g., the two feet 3 in the present embodiment) so that the doll can be fixedly decorated by fixing the suckers 4 on the flat face of a table or window glass. Since the doll can have its portion fixed, the user can bend the hands and feet with the body being fixed so that she can enjoy an easy shaping. Since, moreover, the doll is fixedly supported, the user can hold and place the doll in a variety of arbitrary poses without any fall.
- memo holders 5 for holding a sheet of paper.
- These memo holders 5 can be practically used as a memo pad if a memo is put into them.
- the doll can be used as a menu pad to be placed on a restaurant table or a display to be placed inside of a show window. In the latter case, the funny or fantastic pose will attract public attention sufficiently to have a high advertising effect. A higher effect can be attained if not one but a plurality of doles are used in combination.
- the memo holders may be replaced by hooks or the like.

Abstract
A doll comprises a body (1), and hands (2) and feet (3) made of flexible rods prepared by coating metal rods with a synthetic resin. Suckers (4) are attached to the ends of the feet (3), and memo holders (5) are attached to the ends of the hands (2).
Description
- The present invention relates to a doll and, more particularly, to a doll which can be fixed on a flat portion of a desk or window glass and can be given a funny pose by bending its hands and feet arbitrarily so that it can match a decoration for the interior or display.
- There is well known in the art a doll which can be given several kinds of poses by moving its hands and feet.
- However, the doll of the prior art is so seriously restricted in its limb moving ranges that its motions have failed to provide a number of funny poses in design. In other words, the user is allowed to give a seriously restricted range of poses to the doll so that she cannot play while exhibiting her design senses. The restriction on the pose has failed to give an apparent attraction so that the user gets tired of the doll at a relatively early stage.
- It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a doll which can be given a variety of funny poses by bending its hands and feet arbitrarily according to the designing senses of the user, and to provide a doll which can be fixed on the flat portion of a desk or window glass, while holding such funny poses, so that it can attract public attention sufficiently and can match a decoration for the interior or display.
- In order to achieve the above-specified objects, according to a feature of the present invention, there is provided a doll which comprises a body, a plurality of flexible rods extending from said body and forming the limbs of said body, and a sucker attached to the free end of at least one of said flexible rods.
- According to another feature of the present invention, the doll further comprises a memo holder attached to at least one of the remaining free ends of said flexible rods.
- Other features, objects and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description to be made with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
- Figure 1 is a perspective view showing one embodiment of a doll according to the present invention; and
- Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view showing the same embodiment.
- As shown,
hands 2 andfeet 3 are bent and are fixedly attached to a body 1 which is made of a synthetic resin. - The
hands 2 and thefeet 3 are made of a flexible rod which is prepared by coating a metal core of aluminum, copper or the like with a synthetic resin of vinyl chloride or the like. The flexible rod is usually made as thick as about 5 mm. Thehands 2 and thefeet 3 has their shaping freedoms and posing ranges limited if too short and are preferably made about 7 cm or longer from the body 1 to their leading ends so that they can be freely bent to take a variety of poses. - If the body 1 is covered through a cushioning material with cloth such as felt and formed into various animals such as rabbit, living beings or characters, then it can provide a comfortable feel and a unique design so that the doll can be used as a stuffed toy.
-
Suckers 4 are attached to the ends of the flexible rods (e.g., the twofeet 3 in the present embodiment) so that the doll can be fixedly decorated by fixing thesuckers 4 on the flat face of a table or window glass. Since the doll can have its portion fixed, the user can bend the hands and feet with the body being fixed so that she can enjoy an easy shaping. Since, moreover, the doll is fixedly supported, the user can hold and place the doll in a variety of arbitrary poses without any fall. - To the ends of the
hands 2 of the flexible rods, on the other hand, there are attachedmemo holders 5 for holding a sheet of paper. Thesememo holders 5 can be practically used as a memo pad if a memo is put into them. Thus, the doll can be used as a menu pad to be placed on a restaurant table or a display to be placed inside of a show window. In the latter case, the funny or fantastic pose will attract public attention sufficiently to have a high advertising effect. A higher effect can be attained if not one but a plurality of doles are used in combination. The memo holders may be replaced by hooks or the like. - Although the embodiment has been described hereinbefore, the present invention should not be limited thereto but can be modified in various manners within the scope of the gist thereof and can be used in various applications.
- As has been described hereinbefore, the doll according to the present invention can be not only given a variety of funny poses by bending its hands and feet arbitrarily according to the designing senses of the user but also fixed on the flat portion of a desk orwin- dow glass, while holding such funny poses, so that it can attract public attention sufficiently and can match a decoration for the interior or display, thus providing high advertising effects.
- Since the doll can have its portion fixed, the user can bend the hands arid feet with the body being fixed so that she can enjoy an easy shaping. Moreover, the doll is fixedly supported so that the user can hold and place the doll in a variety of arbitrary poses without any fall.
