Abstract
Ein Verfahren zum Trocknen eines band- oder blattförmigen, fotografischen Schichtträgers, der entlang eines Transportweges zwischen auf beiden Seiten des Transportweges senkrecht zur Transportrichtung, parallel zur Ebene des Schichtträgers angeordneten Heizelementen bewegt wird, wobei der Schichtträger durch die von den Heizelementen abgegebene Wärmestrahlung getrocknet wird, ist so ausgebildet, daß durch mindestens einen Meßsensor (5) der Wärmeabsorptionsgrad des momentan im Einflußbereich der Wärmestrahlung liegenden Teils des fotografischen Schichtträgers (1) ermittelt und anhand des ermittelten Absorptionsgrades die Intensität der von den Heizelementen (2) abgegebenen Wärmestrahlung verändert wird. <IMAGE>A method for drying a band-shaped or sheet-shaped, photographic support which is moved along a transport path between heating elements arranged on both sides of the transport path perpendicular to the transport direction, parallel to the plane of the support, the support being dried by the heat radiation emitted by the heating elements, is designed in such a way that at least one measuring sensor (5) determines the degree of heat absorption of the part of the photographic layer support (1) currently in the area of influence of the thermal radiation, and the intensity of the heat radiation emitted by the heating elements (2) is changed on the basis of the determined degree of absorption. <IMAGE>
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 sowie eine Vorrichtung gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 5.The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and a device according to the preamble of claim 5.
Eine solche Vorrichtung und ein solches Verfahren ist beschrieben in der DE-PS 31 24 688. Dort ist generell ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Trocknen von band- oder blattförmigen fotografischen Schichtträgern beschrieben. Bei dem dort beschriebenen Verfahren kann die von den Heizelementen abgegebene Wärmestrahlung je nach dem zu trocknenden Material variiert werden. Beim Trocknen von fotografischen Schichtträgern, bei denen auf einem Schichtträger große Unterschiede im Schwärzungsgrad auftreten, läßt sich beim Stand der Technik keine optimale Intensität der Wärmestrahlung voreinstellen, denn wenig belichtete Stellen sind hell und absorbieren die Wärme in geringerem Maße als die stark belichteten und somit dunklen Bereiche des fotografischen Schichtträgers. Bei einer Einstellung der Intensität auf einen festen Wert besteht die Gefahr, daß entweder die hellen Stellen nicht ausreichend getrocknet, oder aber die dunklen Stellen durch Überhitzung beschädigt werden.Such an apparatus and such a method is described in DE-PS 31 24 688. Die Erfindung macht sich dabei die Erkenntnis zu eigen, daß eine Wärmestrahlung deren Intensität automatisch entsprechend des Absorptionsgrades des Schichtträgers reguliert wird, vermeidet, daß der Schichtträger entweder nicht ganz getrocknet oder durch überhitzung beschädigt wird. Die Figur zeigt einen Film 1, der durch eine nicht näher gezeigte Transportvorrichtung in Richtung des Pfeiles T transportiert wird. Der Film durchläuft dabei eine Trockenvorrichtung. In dieser Trockenvorrichtung sind mehrere Heizelemente 2 angeordnet. Ein Spiegel 3 konzentriert die von den Heizelementen 2 abgegebene Wärmestrahlung auf dem Film 1. Im Material des Spiegels 3 sind Fenster 4 vorhanden, hinter denen Meßelemente 5 angeordnet sind. Mit mehreren Meßelementen 5, welche jeweils die Transmission des Films 1 an unterschiedlichen Stellen messen, läßt sich ein Mittelwert der Transmission für den Bereich des Films 1 errechnen, welcher sich gerade in der Trockenvorrichtung befindet. Die Transmission ist ein Maß für den Absorptionsgrad der Wärmestrahlung im Schichtträger. Bei hoher Transmission ist der Absorptionsgrad gering, bei niedriger Transmission hingegen hoch.
