Abstract
Description
The invention is based on a milling machine according to the preamble of claim 1. Such milling, in which the protective shield is firmly connected to the base plate, is known on the market. Since the protective shield blocks access to the milling tool, changing tools on these machines is very difficult.
The milling machine according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that the passage between the motor housing and the base plate is possible unhindered without having to do without the chip deflector when working with the milling machine.
The measures listed in the dependent claims allow advantageous developments and improvements of the milling machine specified in claim 1. It is particularly advantageous if the protective shield has arms which are articulated to pivot bearings on the footplate.
A fixation of the protective shield in two rotational positions is advantageously achieved with locking means which are attached as ribs and notches to the mutually facing surfaces of the arms and the pivot bearing. Manufacturing in particular is simplified by the one-piece molding of elastically resilient arms on the deflecting surface. A lever-shaped handle molded onto the protective shield simplifies operation. The asymmetrical arrangement of the guide columns on the footplate makes it easier to see the milling tool from the more open side; therefore the protective shield is attached on this side.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. Figure 1 shows a partially sectioned view of a milling machine, Figure 2 shows a view of its base plate and Figures 3 and 4 show a protective shield.
The router according to the invention consists of a two-part motor housing with a lower part 2 made of aluminum and an upper part 3 made of plastic. Two
The lower part 2 of the housing is equipped with vertically aligned guide tubes 9 which are guided on two
The
The
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown. In particular, the
