Abstract

A method for plasma-detonation working of metal articles provides for filling a reaction chamber (1) with a combustible gas mixture and with a powder material and introducing into the chamber (1), in particular, an element selected from groups III, IV, V, VI of the periodic system of elements, after which detonation burning of the combustible gas mixture is initiated outside the chamber (1) and the electric current is passed through the combustion products of the mixture, the powder material and the introduced element. For that purpose, in a device implementing the method, a nozzle (4) for introducing said element into the chamber (1) is provided, in particular, in the wall of the chamber (1).
