Claims (6)

  1. Side-member for office furniture having two vertical edge profile bars (4) which are joined to a web-plate (5) extending between them which has two web-plate sections (5a, 5b) which are displaced in an opposed manner in relation to the centre plane (6) of the side-member (2), each of which is joined to one of the two edge profile bars (4) by a flange (7) offset at 90°, the spaces located between the edge profile bars (4) in each case being covered by an inserted wall (13), characterised in that the two sections (5a, 5b) of the web-plate are joined in the centre of the side-member (2) by a central wall strip (11) which continues on both sides in a rib (12), in each case beyond the connecting web-plate sections (5a or 5b) and that the edge profile bars (4) have in their two side surfaces (17) in each case a vertical undercut attachment groove (18).
  2. Side-member according to Claim 1, characterised in that the web-plate (5) is joined by bolts (10) to the two edge profile bars (4), which are in each case screwed into a nut (9) which is located in a vertical undercut groove (8) of the edge profile bar (4).
  3. Side-member according to Claim 1, characterised in that the two inserted walls (13) have on their two edges facing the edge profile bars (4) in each case a shoulder strip (14) projecting inwards, which can be latched behind a latch edge (15) of the edge profile bar (4).
  4. Side-member according to Claim 1, characterised in that the edge profile bars (4) have a central longitudinal hole (22).
  5. Side-member according to Claim 1, characterised in that the edge profile bars (4) are rounded off on their external side facing away from the web-plate (5).
  6. Side-member according to Claim 7, characterised in that the edge profile bars (4) have a semicircular profile on their external side facing away from the web-plate (5) at a radius which corresponds to half the thickness of the side-member (2).
