Description

The invention relates to a floor fitness device with variable step heights.

The well-known floor fitness equipment, also called "Step's", are simple equipment made of wood or plastic that can be walked on with your feet. Single-part and multi-part versions are customary on the market. The one-piece devices usually consist of an elongated, box-shaped running board with sloping side walls and the upper step surface with a rubber covering. Its height is not adjustable. In the multi-part devices, the footboard described above acts as an upper part, which can also be built on smaller lower parts, practically according to a modular system, in order to achieve different step heights. The lower parts are each arranged under the running board in the area of the end faces. If the same number of lower parts are arranged on both ends, a horizontal height adjustment is obtained. With lower parts arranged on both sides in different numbers, the running board is inclined in the direction of the longitudinal axis. These devices offer the advantage that, in addition to the horizontal height adjustment, variable inclination angles in conjunction with variable step heights can be built into a fitness program.

When installed horizontally, the multi-part devices offer practically sufficient security against tipping over by treading on the edge area on the long or short sides. With an inclined structure, however, with increasing inclination there is also increasing uncertainty about kicking the edge. In particular when stepping onto the elevated end face, there is a significant tilting moment with risk of accident, as well as when stepping on the longitudinal edges.

The reason for this is the loss of the centering between the running board and the lower part, which is analogously lost with an increasingly inclined arrangement. Furthermore, the running boards show a tendency to slide downwards in an inclined arrangement.

The conventional multi-part floor fitness machines are practically purely static construction units with variable height and incline options for relatively one-sided fitness exercises.

A floor fitness device is known from WO 91/04767, which consists of a running board which rests on a plurality of uniform sub-components arranged one above the other and is supported by these. The lower and upper parts are provided with corresponding locking means, which serve to telescopically stack two or more lower parts one above the other and to connect them by positive locking. Corresponding latching means are formed on the underside of the running board in order to fasten the running board to the substructures. In the case of the footboard described, the distance to the floor can be varied by the number of stacked substructures. An inclined arrangement of the footboard is not provided, however, and is not possible with the described essentially box-shaped substructures without a loss of stability which is prone to accidents.

No. 4,492,376 discloses a floor fitness device with a seating or lying surface for the user and peg-shaped holding elements arranged thereon. The holding pegs are intended to anchor elastic bands and to hold them against an applied tensile force by the user. The seat or lying surface primarily serves to anchor the holding pegs and to support their holding function and secondly as a support for the user.

The object of the invention is to provide a floor fitness device which can be used in a variety of ways and which offers a tilt-proof position in any arrangement, enables dynamic use of the device and is also suitable for arm-trunk training.

Diese Aufgabe löst ein Boden-Fitnessgerät gemäß des vorgeschlagenen Anspruchs 1.This object is achieved by a floor fitness device according to the proposed claim 1.

Particular developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

The invention is intended to ensure that the use of the fitness device in all mounting positions (horizontal, inclined and as a seesaw) offers good safety against unintentional tipping or sliding of the footboard. This security is achieved by the arched contact surfaces between the substructures and the running board, which always remain in positive engagement with each other, even with different inclination positions.

According to particularly preferred developments of the invention, it is possible according to the invention to set up as a seesaw dynamic use effect for standing, kneeling or sitting balance fitness exercises, such as those found in the training program of ballet and mannequin schools. In this set-up position, the fitness device can also be used as a children's toy, with smaller children in particular being able to use the seesaw safely to play because of its low overall height.

In order to be able to complete a well-rounded fitness program, the invention is furthermore equipped with retaining pins for receiving expander bands. In this application, the convalescence of body damage was also considered, especially since the desired increase in performance in the rehabilitation program can be achieved by attaching expander bands with increasing traction.

The floor fitness device according to the invention consists of the usual elongated or square box-shaped upper footboard 1 with sloping side walls and the associated substructures 2.

The running board 1 is provided on its top in a known manner with a rubber covering. On the underside of the footboard 1 there are two contact edges on the end faces 4 and on the long sides 5. If the footboard 1 is used without the substructures 2, it rests on the floor with the two support edges 3 arranged on the end face. It then stands on four feet 6 made of non-slip material, which are arranged in the usual way at the four corners. The two contact edges 11 of the long sides 5 are arranged somewhat higher. On the contact edges 11 there are two arcuate recesses 7 near the end faces 4 with which the running board 1 rests in a form-fitting manner on the sub-components 2. These bearing points are intended for the horizontal and inclined mounting positions.

For stiffening, the footboard 1 has several carrier-like longitudinal ribs 8 below the footprint. These have more arcuate cutouts 9 in the middle below the transverse axis for support when the device is arranged as a rocker according to FIG. 2. The footboard 1 then lies on the upper, smaller, Arc-shaped structure 10 of the base component 2. The smaller and deeper radius at this bearing point results in better centering between the footboard 1 and the base component 2 for dynamic stress. The contact surfaces 9 are located in the rib area, ie are located below the footboard 1. Safety against lateral tilting is in this position by the solid lower edges 11 of the Reached two long sides 5, which are located with little play over the two outer curved bearing surfaces 12 of the substructures 2 and can be supported on them.

A base component 2 has a rectangular or square shape and stands on four feet 16, FIGS. 4 and 5. The feet are made of non-slip material and are arranged under the corners in a known manner. On the upper side of the base part 2 there are four depressions 17 which are arranged exactly above the feet 16 and on the one hand serve to receive the feet 16 of a further stacked base part 2. The base parts 2 always remain in a horizontal position. The upper side has arched upward support surfaces 12 in the face region. Between these there is a further, higher, continuous upward arched upper support surface 10 in the direction of the longitudinal axis. This has a smaller arc radius than the two outer support surfaces 12. The two end faces 19 serve as a lateral system for the running board 1.

The lower part 2 has a rectangular or square opening on the underside for joining the lower parts 2 when stacking. The base of the sub-component 2 consists of two horizontally arranged horizontal support surfaces 18, between which it is curved upwards. The geometry of the base corresponds to the geometry of the support surface arranged above it. The upper contact surface 10 already described is arranged above this.

The footboard 1 has at the bottom on its four sides towards the floor open recesses 13, in which downward pin 14 according to Figures 1 and 3 sit. At the bottom free Ends of the pins 14 are heads 15 made of plastic or rubber. The pins 14 serve for hanging expander bands, the heads 15 for securing against unintentional loosening of the expander bands.

The lower edges 11 on the long sides of the footboard 1 are arranged higher than the lower edges 3 of the end faces, so that there is a free space under them when the floor is laid. An expander band can be pushed through the free space under the head 15 of the pin 14 for hanging or loosening without having to lift the footboard 1. For this purpose, the pins 14 are set somewhat higher on the end faces 4.

Figure 6 shows an enlargement of the retention element. In this exemplary embodiment, this is designed as a pin 14 with a head 15 projecting downward in a recess 13. Since the head 15 protrudes beyond the diameter or the dimension of the pin 14, an expander band 20 can, for example, be attached here in a retention-safe manner in order to carry out the corresponding exercises.

In addition, it should be mentioned here that the arrangement of the pin is only a preferred exemplary embodiment of a holding device and all equivalent arrangements can be considered here.
