Bei einer bekannten Pumpe dieser Art (DE-B 1083484) ist die Nabenbohrung nicht hinreichend gegenüber der im Gehäuse enthaltenen Flüssigkeit abgedichtet. Dies ist jedoch erforderlich, weil es anderenfalls zu Rostschäden an der Welle und aufgrund von Korrosion zur Zerstörung des Paßsitzes des Flügelrads kommen kann. Es kann auch zu Spaltkorrosion und zum Festrosten des Flügelrads kommen, das dann bei einer später notwendigen Montage nicht mehr von der Welle zu lösen ist. Bei kleinen Pumpen kann ein eingeklemmter oder eingeschrumpfter Verschlußdeckel ausreichende Dichtheit gewährleisten. Bei größeren Pumpen ist diese Art der Nabenbohrungsabdichtung jedoch nicht sicher genug und in den Fällen, in denen eine genaue axiale Fixierung des Flügelrads gegenüber der Welle erforderlich ist, auch nicht anwendbar. Bekannt ist auch eine stopfbüchsenartige Abdichtung zwischen Welle und Flügelradnabe (FR-A 1254761), bei der ein aus plastisch verformbarem Material bestehender Dichtring durch den axialen Anzug der Brille so verformt wird, daß er nicht nur Dichtheit bewirkt, sondern auch die Drehmomentübertragung. Dabei kann der Anzug der Brille mittels Schrauben erfolgen, die entweder mit der Welle oder mit der Nabe des Flügelrads zusammenwirken. Diese Anordnung erlaubt keine axiale Einstellung des Flügelrads und hat in axialer Richtung auch einen zu großen Platzbedarf.In a known pump of this type (DE-B 1083484), the hub bore is not sufficiently sealed against the liquid contained in the housing.
