Leitflächen ergibt eine schalenartig gestaltete Versteifungs-Vorrichtung mit dem wesentlichen Vorteil der aus der schalenartigen Gestaltung resultierenden höheren Biege- und Torsionssteifigkeit. Diese ist mit der Erfindung so erheblich gesteigert, daß die Versteifungs-Vorrichtung im Gegensatz zum Stand der Technik nach der gattungsbildenden DE-C-37 29 966 ohne einen materialaufwendigen Rahmen ausgebildet werden kann. Eine rahmenlose Versteifungs-Vorrichtung bietet weiter den Vorteil einer von einer Ölwannenbefestigung gesonderten Anordnung am Kurbelgehäuse und vereinfacht damit auch die Abdichtung zwischen Kurbelgehäuse und Ölwanne.The mutual, fixed connection of the struts in the longitudinal direction of the crankshaft above the movement contours of rotating engine parts of arranged arranged baffle or guide surfaces results in a shell-like stiffening device with the essential advantage of the higher bending and torsional stiffness resulting from the shell-like design. Eine lediglich abschnittsweise im Querschnitt gezeigte Hubkolben-Brennkraftmaschine 1 umfaßt ein Kurbelgehäuse 2 mit Kurbelgehäusewänden 3 und 4. Ein zwischen diesen angeordneter Kurbeltrieb 5 umfaßt eine Kurbelwelle 6 mit Ausgleichsgewichten 7 beiderseits eines diametral angeordneten Hubzapfens 8 für ein Pleuel 9 zu einem nicht gezeigten Kolben. Die Fig. 2 zeigt, daß an den Schenkeln 12 der Streben 11 auf die Bewegungskontur 21 der Kurbelwellen-Ausgleichsgewichte 7 abgestellt angepaßte Prall- bzw. Leitflächen 14, 14' und 15, 15' und 16, 16' angeordnet sind. Diese Prall- bzw. Leitflächen stehen in ihren einander zugewandten Endbereichen mit zu den Schenkeln 12 im wesentlichen parallelen, gegenseitig beabstandeten Tragwänden 22, 22' in Verbindung, zwischen denen auf die Bewegungskontur 23 des großen Pleuel-Lagerauges 20 abgestellt angepaßte Prall- bzw.
