Aus der GB-A-993228 ist eine Einweghüse bekannt, die aus Papier gefertigt und mit einem an ihrem äusseren Rand eigebördelten Kunststoffüberzug versehen ist. Allerdings sind solche Hülsen zur Stapelung aufeinander und Wiederverwendung völlig ungeeignet. Eine Mehrfachverwendung hat sich bei Hülsen dieser Art als unwirtschaftlich erwiesen, da die bekannten Hülsen vor allem an ihren Stirnseiten und Oberflächen beschädigt oder deformiert werden. Garnträgerhülsen müssen eine bestimmte Stabilität aufweisen, damit sie nicht von dem auf sie aufzuspulenden Garn verformt oder zusammengedrückt werden. Eine solche Hülse ist nicht wiederverwendbar. Das Aussortieren erfolgt meistens von Hand und kann nicht nur auf optisch sichtbare Mängel beschränkt werden; es müssen auch versteckte Mängel erfasst werden, um bei einer wiederverwendbaren Hülse, Rundlaufprobleme und Ablaufbehinderungen des Garnes zu vermeiden. Der Grundkörper kann aber auch aus jedem Kunststoff bestehen, welcher sich allerdings im Gebrauch nicht verformen darf, damit seine Wiederverwendbarkeit gewährleistet ist. Die Wandstärke der Hülse sollte wenigstens 4 mm, bevorzugt 6 mm betragen, was ein mehrfaches der Dicke eines Ueberzuges darstellt. Zweckmässig ist im Grundkörper eine kreisförmige Rinne vorgesehen. Sie dient zur versenkbaren Aufnahme eines Kunststoffüberzuges. Damit entsteht im Innern der Garnträgerhülse ein Hohlraum ohne Einbauten. Dies erlaubt, auf einen Dorn, je nach seiner Länge, mehreren hintereinander angeordnete Garnträgern aufzustecken. Die äussere Kante der Rinne ist vorteilhafterweise niedriger als die innere und gewährleistet einen einwandfreien Ablauf eines Garnes. Ausserdem ist die vorstehende innere Kante ein Schutz bei der Stapelung und dem Transport einer vollen Spule. Seine Oberfläche kann entsprechend dem zu verarbeitenden Garn entweder glatt oder rauh oder beispielsweise orangenhautartig gestaltet sein. Eine glatte Oberfläche, insbesondere über der Stirnseitenkante, erlaubt einen beschädigungslosen Abzug des Garnes, beispielsweise in der Weberei, beim Texturieren und bei der Kettherstellung. Claims (4)
- A yarn carrier for yarns, for multiple use which consists of a substantially cylindrical base body (1) made of a hard paper, wood or a synthetic material, with a changeable cover (3), wherein the end face on the yarn running-off side of the base body (1) consists of an outer side (5') and an inner side (5''), in which arrangement the inner side (5'') projects over the outer side (5') and the cover (3) is folded flush over the outer edge (4) of the outer side (5') of the base body (1); characterized in that the base body (1) consists of one piece with a wall thickness of at least 4 mm free of any internal fittings; that the projection projects by at least 3 mm; and that both end faces of the base body (1) have the same internal diameter.
- A yarn carrier according to claim 1, characterized in that the cover (3) is secured flush in a circular groove (5) of the end face on the yarn running-off side of the base body (1).
- A yarn carrier according to claim 1, characterized in that the end face (9) of the side (5'') constitutes a plane (9).
- A yarn carrier according to claim 1, characterized in that the end face (10) of the outer wall (5') has a convex surface.
